    Another cracking video. I'm now genuinely tempted by that trowel, if only to use with limelite! Save my nela and refina plastics for last flick on standard skim

    Hi Anthony,thanks for the upload..
    The bag recommends flattening after 90min..Did you wait that long and is it advised with your experience?
    Would i be ok using the refina plaziflex fot a similar finsh to what you're getting with the carta?
    I'm using this material next week so any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi Anthony, I’m finding these limelite videos a god send so thank you for sharing your tips and tricks with us. I have a lot of plastering to do on an old property so will be using limelite and high impact exclusively. When it comes to the final finish do you find that the Refina PLAZIFLEX which you used on your other renovating plaster vid gave you just as good a smooth and Matt finish or did the Carta 101 out perform it? About to invest in a plastic trowel but unsure which one. I will be using it on the high impact finishing. Thanks for helping

    Hi can I have some advice, I use this skim all the time.and once I’ve gone over with a speedy skim and sometimes a sponge float. I find it bumpy in places. Where am I going wrong? Any tips?

    Quick Question, what are the working time's, from 2nd mix to finish trowel, is it like skim as in lay, flatten, Wet trowel, fat etc ?, I see your using a glove, is the material hard on the ✋, and how thick is the coat (mm) for 1 Coat Application, Great video, Never used the that system ( is it for old 🏠 with damp Problem's?

    • @AnthonyParryPlastering
      @AnthonyParryPlastering  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi George so it takes about 2 hours. It’s not like skim as you only put one coat on and you dont want to be adding water when you’re troweling. They reckon between 2-5mm thickness. It does help with damp because it’s a breathable material. Hope that helps 😀

    Hi Anthony did you follow bag instructions and leave for 90 minutes before flattening? it looked you went over fairly soon

    • @tommyedwards8451
      @tommyedwards8451 Před 4 měsíci

      90 minutes isn't feasible but saying that the products purpose would still be affective whereas this method has completely nullified the products purpose and at £35 a bag for backing and same again for finish it's a lot of wasted money and materials. It isn't supposed to have a shine its breathable and is supposed to have a porous finish for salts and moisture to escape. A sign of it being ready to paint is when salts stop appearing, a glazed finish closes it up causing it to suffocate and send the salts and moisture back the other way. His lack of knowledge could cost people a lot of stress and money. Also, aftercare is very important and he should of advised on timings, correct paint and that it shouldn't be papered over for at least a year.

    @danielharvey8921 Před 6 měsíci

    Do you always leave the renovating plaster til the next day before you put on the finish? Or can it be applied same day? Also what’s the longest you can leave the renovating plaster to skim before you need a primer?

    • @AnthonyParryPlastering
      @AnthonyParryPlastering  Před 6 měsíci

      I normally give it at least a day before putting the finish on. You can leave it for a few weeks before putting the finish on. Just check what the suction is like, give it a good spray of water until it gets controlled. I’ve never put the primer on the renovating plaster.
      Hope that helps 👍

    That’s great to know I used the steel trowel for years on limelite and was never really happy with the finish left it okay but not as good as what that carta 101 is doing
    How are you finding it with the finish on the multi finish

    • @AnthonyParryPlastering
      @AnthonyParryPlastering  Před 2 lety +1

      The way I would explain it is. Because the trowel is plastic it’s not pulling any water out when you are troweling so it’s just compacting it rather than pulling the moisture out. So I don’t use any water when troweling.
      It’s the same when using it with normal skim.

      @AnthonyParryPlastering  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Phil, this was on top of the limelite renovating plaster. I don’t think there would be any point in using this with normal sand and cement
      I don’t use any water when troweling, I only use water to clean the corners and edges 😀
