Sometimes, I would find a pile of bricks, and just throw one after the other to ensure I didn't leave any bricks undisturbed.

If he would have said “or when you forget to grab your pills moving through an area so you can’t upgrade your shivs” I would have lost it even more.
The Loot of Us
This applies to any show adaption of a video game. Imagine lara croft having to do the same jump over and over again.
what do you mean 'have' to do the same jump? I used to make her do that jump on purpose for.. scientific reasons
Guy over earpiece: “Now Lara, I need you to back up into the corner and drop the micro camera with the zoom function so I can… er, analyze the hieroglyphs for translation.”
Lara: “OK, got it. I’ll drop it and get out of the way.”
Guy: “No, er… you gotta stand there because of the… uh, ritual or something. OH, and crouch down!”
my favourite part in a game is when i save the best items for "a harder opponent" and then finish the game without using it at all.

Grounded difficulty might fix that problem. I remember saving most (if not all) of my rifle and El Diablo rounds for the endgame, and boy, did I use them when the time came (armored fireflies vs. armor piercing upgrades). I _may_ have been a bit more lenient with the shotgun when I went up against bloaters _after_ using the flamethrower to burn their fungus armor.

I only played the game and this is kinda okay.

Amazing how much original script was kept in here, the hidden pines scene is probably the most noteworthy scene i know by heart cuz i did a emotional read through of it on here.
This is basically also The Road by Cormac McCarthy. The book, not the movie of course. One of the best post post-apocalyptic stories ever written.
Edit: Don't watch the movie! It's a bad movie that spoils one of the best books ever.

@@NickolaiPetrovitch I've read a lot myself. I have another suggestion I tried to think of a random one that was pretty weird, and maybe obscure. Not as good as The Road of course, but it's good in its own way. Oryx and Crake
The writing feels similar to Fight Club. Darkly funny sometimes, and an interesting story that you want to find out where it's going.
@@Xearrik Oryx and Crake isn’t obscure ! Margaret Atwood is an internationally renowned Canadian author. Have you read A Handmaid’s Tale by her? That’s one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE dystopian novels . I enjoyed it just as much as Oryx and Crake! I put it in the same caliber as 1984, Fahrenheit 451 , Brave New World , and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Those are the big classics for me. 1984 really stuck with me as an adolescent in particular. I’m 30, so my social awakening was beginning via Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down lmao. My sheltered catholic school girl life was shattered realizing they power structures of capitalism and the scary parallels our world held to some of the themes in those novels.
Another one I really like is The Giver.

The game is better then the series, the bill arc was completely ruined, a lot of things where rushed, the mini heart attacks reinforcing how much Joel cared for Ellie was far-fetched and the combat, except the one with the sniper in the house, which by the way was very well adapted, lost a lot of its magic.
To me it was a 7 maybe 8 out of 10, and for the time it takes to watch i would rather play the game again.
It would still be better than the shit show that they turned it into.
I don't like the netflix version. It's missing a lot of heart
