Making A Simp Official okay well people are entitled to their own opinions. A lot of people love this game and a lot of people don’t. Some enjoyed the story and took it for what it was and some people weren’t a fan of the story. We all have our own opinions that were formed while playing the game
This game is so overhated, Ellie’s emotional roller coaster in this game is so immersive, you feel each bit of pain, happiness, even fear, she really one of the best characters of all time
Couldn’t agree more! Y’know it’s not the players fault… Joel's death was shocking! When a player is playing by their emotions, it could blind them!! We all wanted revenge, but after Abby’s walkthrough, a lot of players changed their mind!

i agree, i was late to this game and i cannot believe people hated it so much when it came out. this story is amazing, this is a masterclass, i have never felt this much emotion from a game before, and it still lingers on my mind for weeks now since i first finished it. i really hope the negative critics and the misunderstanding a lot of people had of this game wont discourage Naughty Dog from making a Part 3, cause my god, The Last of Us is a Masterpiece!

Craig Mazin said that he was on set while they were making the Last of Us 2 game. When i heard this i started seeing all the Last of Us part 2 easter eggs sprinkled all over the show. Suprisingly including the coffee. During the very last flashback that Ellie has of Joel when they were talking on the balcony, Ellie asks Joel what he was drinking "Whats that?" and he replies "Coffee!" I was like "damn that was shown in episode 4
It’s gonna hit different when this specific scene shows up in season 2
It is fantastic how this moment is recontexualized after playing through the whole game. In this moment, it's to be believed that it's a romantic moment between Ellie and Dina, marked by the beautiful memory around the campfire, how she should have kissed her then.
By the end of the game, you realize that Ellie was not thinking about Dina in this moment - she was singing about, or even in memory of, Joel. Her obsession and guilt have uprooted every aspect of her life, and tainted even this soft, tender memory.

When i first played this...I felt this in my heart because it wasn't just Ellie singing to Dina but she was also singing it to Joel who she missed so much. I hated how Joel died early on in the game but the story for this was really really good.

Genuine masterpiece. Easily my favourite moment of the whole game, it's just pure emotion and represents Ellie and her whole journey so well. I love this so much. The fact that this is optional is bloody fantastic, it shows how intricate the game is and how you really need to explore everything to gain a true understanding of Ellie and her journey. This scene made me cry uncontrollably and has so much meaning to me. Beautiful.

Earlier in this scene the first thing Ellie tried to recall another song. And it wasn’t just some random melody, it were the chords of “Future days”. And when Dina asked her what she was trying to play, Ellie answered “Nothing”. Not only does it show how personal this moment was for Ellie when Joel came to her in the middle of the night and basically told her how much she meant to him through song’s lyrics (so personal Ellie didn’t wish to share it with Dina) but it also shows that Joel meant so much to Ellie and if only he was here, she would let him off the hook straight away, she would definitely forgive him.
Sadly, but sometimes we do not understand the importance of some simple yet vital things until we lose something.
I suppose hitting those high notes is a boss fight in its own way.
The funny thing is even Morton Harket sings the "in day or two" in a deeper pitch these days. I found a mtv unplugged version where the pitch was almost the same like here, so it is final boss like to hit this pitch smooth xD

It's not so hard with a month of training, it's just falsetto. Practice whooping for a couple weeks and you'll get there, even in tune.
It's an acoustic version. You're not supposed to go for the high notes. It's stripped down.

Yes, but not because you don't go for high notes in acoustic versions; there are plenty of acoustic versions with high notes maintained.
In this case she was going for a very soft emotional rendition, so it make sense not to raise the volume with the high note.

I sing this song to my 7 month old daughter at night when I put her to sleep, it reminds me of my grandparents
Since the day I finished the game, I couldn’t stop thinking about it... Everyday I remember the pain and joy of playing it, never felt like that with any other game. Scenes like this just make me happy and sad at the same time, I can’t explain it

they killed even the main players like how they would die in real life without any dramatic and heroic last moments and i personally think this made the game much more realistic and bittersweet
its called post-game depression. most people get it. its when you had an emotional connection to the characters in teh game, i had it happen to me in teh first game

Z _ what about the scene where Joel sang to Ellie? And when Ellie sang the same song after his death? And their last conversation about Ellie trying to forgive him? And Ellie in the last scene of the game where she realized that she lost everything? Pretty bold to claim that this is the only touching scene.
My favorite touching(?) moment was when Joel brought Ellie to the museum. Idk why I cried during the cutscene when Ellie answered the phone and called Joel a dinosaur
Edit: I know it was a happy moment but it always hits me that Joel is no longer there and that happiness will just be a memory

@@alynwillams4297 If you think about it, the main characters are ripped of thier characteristics they had and they try to get those political correct ideals all into one game without any basis or deeper exploration.
I have not played part 2, but this gives me chills. This character portraits this song exactly as one who lives in a world like this would sing it. The emotions, the imperfections, the sadness... omg. So good!
I’ll never forget ever
