A short story about an angry little angelfish who constantly fights with all of the other angelfish in the tank. His aggression was a problem, and I had to find him another home.
The story of Andy the fish is an angry one He never shared food, played, or had any fun. Because he was smaller than the rest, he turned into quite the aggressive pest. He is a very young fish at only 3 weeks old. Maybe his other amazing characteristics you will soon behold. In a tank to his own he may learn to be polite, and his odd shaped fin in my opinion look alright.
You live my dilemma every day. I bought a second hand 55 gal tank for my beloved betta, who promptly turned on all his former tank mates and stressed shredded his half moon fins. I relocated him to an 8 gallon tank with some of his guppy tank mates. He seemed to do well until he developed a severe one sided gill infection. Ills give him his own tank again now that he is getting better. I love him and will do what it takes to keep him comfy. Bettas and guppies are such tank delights!
Oh shiiiii Dave with another awesome video. Just had to comment for the algo bro like I usually do. I have all notifications one for ya and always look forward to your stuff. Keep on shinin!
Have u ever been interested in making vivariums? I started with aquascaping and then later discovered vivs and I keep dart frogs in em. Check out orange phyllobates terrebilis species of dart frogs. Those r the ones I keep rn. They remind me of pea puffers but without the aggression. This species is the most toxic vertebrate in the known world. But in captivity they are perfectly safe bc they acquire toxicity from their diet in the wild. I guess one could weaponize the dart frogs if they fed them whatever they ate in the wild tho. Never thought I'd say the term weaponize and frog in the same sentence but there ya go lmao!
Hello again! And thanks for always taking the time to leave a comment. It really helps. I used to keep reptiles before I got into fish, but I never got into amphibians before. A vivarium with dart frogs would be pretty sweet, all except for the wingless fruit flies growing wings and escaping. 🙂
You never fail to delight. That was a lot of attitude for a little fish. Your filming here and the poetic tale mesh beautifully. Thank you for another smile before bed.🖤🇨🇦

Unfortunately, he never did. . . Some are just born with a nasty temperament and there's not much that you can do. Unfortunately, there's no anger management courses for fish. :-)
This angry little angel that acts like a betta Is clearly intent to settle a vendetta Perhaps you should put it in a tank by itself Or you'll have to replace it with the elf on a shelf. Best I could come up with. Forgive me, I'm drunk

Aww poor Andy. I have a few like that, I just can't seem to get rid of them. It's almost time for summer tubbing so they go outside with the goldfish and the indoor tanks get a break.
Interesting fact (maybe for somebody): In Eastern Europe were I was born people never refer this fish as "Angel fish", instead they use part of its scientific name "Scalare" ("Скалярия"). To be honest I don't know exactly why, but it's a fact. For example if you visit a zoo shop and ask a salesperson about angel fish this salesperson obviously will answer that there are no such fish, and in the same time you will proposed to buy one of the variant of Scalare:)
That is a very interesting fact! I guess it sort of makes sense because there are also saltwater angelfish. And they're more like little devils than angels. :-)
I have a very agressing san Marco's split fin but I don't want to get rid of him because then there won't be enough genetic diversity for long term breeding attempts.
@@TheDave333 I know, you & your dad are right; just some days are too much. Even, that angry little fish got on my nerves; I didn't want to hurt him, but, I was glad he disappeared! Please, forgive me.
There was one time I had a small bass in an aquarium that was Arkansas wildlife based. The little baby bass grew up and ate everything in the tank and bullied fish to the point of death. We called him grumpy fish
Unfortunately, I won't be going. My fish need me! lol Anyways, I'm the sort of person who would go totally incognito. I really prefer to keep it all about the fish, and never about me. . . And there lies the irony, the channel is called "The Dave", and yet, I never appear in any video and I rarely ever mention myself. It's my belief that the fish should be in the spotlight, not me. . . 🐠 🐠 🐠
Well then...I was going to suggest you stop feeding your piranhas for a while and then introduce Andy to their tank. But because I watched the video to the end, I'm presuming you carried out your plan, so mine won't be able to take place. BTW if you don't have piranhas, may I suggest you get some and do one of your great close up vids featuring their teeth. Especially after a feed.
It’s a good day when the Dave posts
Thank you. There'll be 4 posts in the next four days. . . 😃

This is so poetic i have my own little andy the exact same breed in my community tank
Thanks for watching the video, and best of luck with the angels.

Poor lil' Andy. What Andy needs is some good counseling, and to let em know that great things come in small packages!

That’s sad. I would have kept him in a community tank with no other angelfish around.
It is sad, but I don't know that it would've made a difference.
I like Andy, I'd have him. He just had to stick up for himself cos he's small, and I can relate. 🤣
Through no fault of their own, small folks do have to work a bit harder to keep up with the others. It's perfectly understandable. :-)

Hello from France 🇫🇷 👋 I think you must remove this little terror 😱to bring peace in your tank 🤞
I agree, and many would say not to breed such an aggressive individual.

My angelfishes killed and ate my bettas before I discovered their aggressiveness.
