And the results are so unfair, but you've guys definitely received unconditional love from all over the world and you'll be remembered! It's really the only song I'll remember from this Eurovision 2024. ❤❤❤Marko (Baby Lasagna) was totally anonymous, he created, wrote and composed the song himself in his bedroom on his computer. The song was inspired by the departure of his friends from his small town to big cities. The song wasn't even written for Dora (national competition), his friend persuaded him to send it to competition after hearing it. And then, he was backup (reserve) song and he only entered contest after other artist dropped and had only 1 month for preparation. He even made a music video in that short time. 😊
Marko had never ever performed as a vocalist before this competition.
Also, he is wild, loud and very outgoing on stage, but off the stage he is actually introvert, kind, shy and very humble person. That's why he has such big support from many of us. ☺️

He didn't compose anything. The rhythm is copied from a track called "Espectro" and the hookline is stolen from "Party in My Head" by Pain. The only thing that's original is that he managed to make it worse. I can make you a track like this in five minutes.

It's a quirky, catchy and unpretentious take on a serious topic very relevant for Croatia, but relatable to many people. Baby Lasagna's story is also amazing - "this was a reserve song that was not supposed to compete, he got on stage by accident because another contestant dropped out so he had only 1 month to shoot a music video and prepare for his act. This was the first time he actually performed on stage in front of a camera (he was a guitar player and wrote music for other artists) and he admitted that he was extremely anxious about it. He had 50 spotify listens before Eurovision hype, and was not assigned by any music company. He wrote lyrics and music, produced and made this song all by himself in his bedroom and then went on to win Croatian competition by a landslide, he got 53% of total public votes." His girlfriend directed his music video (which is amazing!), and his brother and friends were on stage with him. He's also really down-to-earth, humble and kind. His close friend suggested him to submit the song to Croatia's competition for Eurovision and all this is happening now!
We love him, the song and this way and Story behind the song! So proud of him! It is the "Cinderella" Story of this ESC 2024! Like a fairytale! Hopefully he will win!

I'm from neighbouring Slovenia and for years I'm spending 3 months/year in a tiny village on Pelješac - love it. First time I came for 3 weeks, second time for a bit longer ... and longer ... When I first watched Croatia's music video, I wasn't looking for it to be great, and I didn't really think I'd connect to it.
Then I watched it.
I did not breathe for 3 minutes.
This music video is perfect: the beat, the editing, the message, the contrasts, the humor, the angst, the warm reassurance...I have never before been so sure that a song deserved to win Eurovision.
