Especially in Italy where being different and even struggling with that is disregarded, you get a lot of "yeah, depression/homosexuality/your issues/personality doesn't exist, just be normal already".

I don't usually care about Eurovision as we (UK) never bother to enter decent acts, just nobodies and generic pop songs. I'm pleased I looked up who won this year to discover Maneskin. The UK got nil points not because of Brexit (maybe a little), but because the act and song totally sucked. Just another typical boring pop song that nobody cares about. Well done to Italy and Maneskin and I am sure you will have found lots of new fans all over Europe! I'm busy discovering and watching all Maneskin videos on CZcams. Brilliant band.

And pop is generally not necesserily the "best " music, whatever the fuck that means. That being said, the lyrics to this are pretty rock and roll and obviously exist for rebellious teens. Seems like rock and roll to me.
