    FYI Chuck is now on Hospice. He called me just to thank me again and said. "That getting his car done was one of the best gifts he had ever gotten". He was able to drive the car for a whole year. Now he has sold it to a friend who is taking good care of it and enjoying it for years to come. If I did not take over the project it would have never gotten done. Did the car in 5 weeks thanks to Chris Lopez who did a lot of the work and reassembly. We carefully spaced out the corner sections so they wont Chip like they usually do. put in all new rubber. Chuck did make a large donation that covered all the cost and parts and a bit for my time FYI. The look on his face and the tears in his eyes were PRICELESS when he came to see it.

      I don't know you, but you probably know my friend Robert, VW guys always good people.... I think Parkinson is a result of unchecked Lyme Disease, as well some other diseases, Lyme is not fully understood nor does the medical community check for as it should be properly diagnosed, the CDC guidelines are not set up like they should be so doctors follow their protocol which is flawed, this is how it frequently goes unchecked by the medical community. With proper treatment people may recover from this terrible condition. Your a great person, if I could help your friend I would as you have done here. It might be to late for your friend, but it's reason to make everyone aware, Lyme is not just a east coast, or mid-west thing, it's becoming a more and more a west coast thin now everyday. You are a saint taking care of that for him, and no good deed should go without respect, respect!

    As a man with MS for 30 years, you guys are tops, I know that feeling of “my time for doing stuff can come to end any day”, MS at least gives you periods of remission, which are a blessing, and a curse, as it leads to a false sense of security. I’ve been stable for 15 or so years, but the first 5 years, I thought I was toast, lost my ability to walk, ski, workout, but now doing them all again, although not like when I was 25. All of this due to a motorcycle accident in 1989, where I shattered my leg, and the stress to my body caused this autoimmune response. No more motorcycles, although my twin’s Road King is sitting in my driveway, I instead do all my own work on my Jeep Wranglers, which each year becoming slightly more difficult. The MS has stabilized, but is very slow moving, and I am often reminded to “slow down Paulie, I’m here, and you best never forget that”. Anyway, great work, you guys are the best. Getting a 1966 Mustang (my year of birth) is one of my bucket list items, sitting next to a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, but my 2010 JK Rubicon and 2016 JKU Sahara will fill that void for now.

    Hello there Mike, you did a good thing here... My had multiple mustangs, and his prized 47 Ford street Rod, I got my automotive education from building these cars with him. When was diagnosed with cancer, we were fortunate enough, to have some really great additional moments, when friends from our car club, came and built him a wheelchair ramp, and many other tasks to help him and my stepmom.. Thanks for sharing your efforts here.. God bless....PS, I'm sorry the few crack pots, with their critiques about specs it the paint, or minor assembly crap.. It's a nice build all the way around.

    23 right now, my dad will turn 64 this year. He still has his 1967 Mustang Coupe in factory Lime Gold with original stickers from the lot. All original. It’s been in our garage for my whole life. I’m starting on it this week. Amen! GOD BLESS AMERICA! 🇺🇸 thanks for the video!

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  Před 2 lety +1

      try to keep it original. I would not paint it unless it is totally rusty. If it has been in the garage all that time, it would be worth more if you keep it original paint and not restore it. Just do a preservation. Clean it up and drive it with the original patina.

      Yea that is what I realized when I was in my early 20s. I started restoring and selling stuff after work. Then stopped for many years. Decided to work on them for youtube for retirement. Do some side work and video it. eventually I figure it will pay the bills. I still work about 3 months or so of the year and make good money at my business to support my hobby which is making these videos and restoring the cars. Squeezing that Mustang in was really hard to do.( few years back) I really did not have the time to do like the quarter line up but the paint turned out great.
