Need to Fix THIS Problem with My Aston Martin DBS! | SHMUSEUM VLOG 60

- Just before PPF for the Aston Martin DBS, there's something we need to rectify... PPF locks in whatever is underneath, so it's pointless unless you've got a great paint finish so step one: bring it to Godleman's for an inspection.
Next up we have a few errands to run, including fitting the tyre back on to the freshly refurbished F1 wheel at TDF. Once that's fitted, and @Shmee150 stops drooling over Formula 1 cars, there's a V5 certificate to be picked up for the SF90 to allow the car to be exported back out of the UK over to Italy for the collection!
Heading towards the end of the day, it's time to jump into the RS3 and GT R Roadster as we update you on the whereabouts of the Aston Martin GT8, whilst Tim heads off to a meeting. Being kept in good company at Topaz, the GT8 is parked up next to a lovely GT12, which one would you choose?
Finally, Brad and Tom fit the wheel back onto the F1 car and decide that it would be a great idea to pop it on one of our Bendpak Autostackers... what a strangely cool sight.

I'm sure some will disagree but that DBS has to be the prettiest car in the collection, Aston absolutely nailed that design, still looks drop dead gorgeous after 14 years

My father and I have always had a soft spot for this generation of Aston Martin because in my opinion these were the times Aston were really making beautiful cars❤️❤️❤️❤️

In my car collection I have cars on display in glass cabinets too.
But I also have R/C cars that I had made on some of the cars I have. Also, I have built a huge race track so I can play around with them in my garage. Or more correctly it is a hangar.

Thereis a very large commitment to time for small errands dealing with the collection, and they all a relatively interesting to car guys.
Have magnets put behind the fresh bumper for easy removal of the front plate for track days.
The DBS is such a beautiful looking car.

If you fill the tyres of all the cars with Nitrogen that Kwik Fit and others supply you will find the tyres stay at the correct pressure and you get no rim rot from the water in normal air. I had my alloys filled and the only time I had a problem was 1 tyre got a screw in it the rest never changed in 3 years.

Is there a date in your mind that all of that cars will be home, maybe for summer?
The cars under the lifts look a bit dark, have you considered getting some lights underneath?

You may want to strap the front of the F1 car as well. The front end is sloping downwards applying pressure to the rear straps.
Before you have it painted think about classic cars that have all original paint and the value they command over a repainted car.
Maybe have Ammo NYC take a look at it if it isn’t too late.

Oh interesting... Toeing eye hook is behind the number plate and here in France, number plates have to be definitely fixed to the car to be legal. No tape, no screws, only rivets. So that means you can't drive this car on the track if registered in france :/ (not that it is intended to but still)

Regarding the rear plate, id put the DBS shaped plate on. The standard plate looks tiny
If you are stuck for someone to build your lego cars I will happily help out. Have you seen Rob Dahm's IndyCar, he is going to drop one of his rotary creations in it. He got it with everything other than the Cosworth engine, it may be an interesting watch to see the American approach to speed. I believe he is a bit of a fan of yours too. Another thing is the UAE auction is coming up, it would be interesting to see what you would consider buying.

One would expect that there is a plate holder that screws in to the towing hook

The rear plate needs to be rectangular, other than that this Vantage is my Fav in your stable at this time.

The F1 car would've looked amazing if it had been mounted on the railing of the mezzanine, as if you were looking down on it from above.
Did you use a strap or some wheel chocks on the F1 car? I assume it doesn't have a functioning parking brake like the other cars all do.

The registration for your SF90 should have been SH90MEE ....
For legal reasons it can't as that would make the number plate say the car is newer then it is. UK regulations on plates
