  • If you haven't found NW Primate on CZcams, you should check him out. He has some really creative stuff going in Washington state. This was my experimentation with his side tunnel bow drill method. I used Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana) for hearth and spindle, same wood bark for tinder bundle, and tarred bank line on the bow. The entire set was carved with an ax.
Here's NW Primate demoing the method: • Making a Bow Drill "No...

Good job Sherpa ,that NW primate has taught us a bunch as has David west. They are primitive fire specialists. I can do their stuff but it takes me longer !

Maybe you should explain why a tough old guy wears a skirt in the boonies in one of your videos? Are nad wrappings included? Are you a "soyvivalist" ? Your technique of firemaking is quite interesting. I just recently subbed to your channel because I was impressed by your outdoorsmanship. I wish you well!

Haha, appreciate your support, Peter! It's a skirt only if I wear something under there. Kilt otherwise, lol. I've actually been meaning to do a video on my fondness of kilts. Keep doing the stuff, my friend!

@@SurvivalSherpa You may find this interesting but kilt style attire is catching on world wide. In Russia, a famous Bulgarian singer by the name of Felippe Kirkorov occasionally wears very nice kilts with coats and ties or interesting shirts. He sings Russian Pop songs and is idolized by both young and old audience members, his concerts are often visually stunning. Look him up on You Tube. Then in China a Mongolian singer by the name of Tengri also wears kilt fashions, He is a very hot singer over there. Look him up on You Tube and watch his music video his voice and song is absolutely incredible. Kilts are gaining in popularity worldwide and I am glad to see you wear one in bushcrafting. Felippe Kirkorov and Tengri, I think you would thoroughly enjoy them. I listen to international music trying to spot hot talent and know many vocalists or singers. If you like these two let me know. Take care, freind, I'll keep watchin! Meantime don't grab the wrong drill when bow drilling, ouch!
