Thanks for the kind words! I’ve hit a point where I can’t keep doing this if I’m only seeing success with shorts so I’ve got to quadruple down on the long videos for now, but if they ever start to pick up then I’ll be able to invest in making more pure shorts again. Fingers crossed!

Just had to look up the tree and wow I have goose bumps, the way their trunks bend at the coloration of the bark is breathtaking. For such a gnarled warped tree to produce such beautiful and strong wood is just amazing. No more words this is just too good :)

In the beginning when he said it was a very hard tree I immediately just started rummaging through my brain because I had remembered hearing that fact on a hike😅
I love the desert of Nevada. But I’ve also seen these trees before near me! I live like actually out in the desert and not in any of the major cities. So I get to see so much of the wonderful desert and the beautiful desert flowers. Also cacti. I remember stepping on one as a child and it when through the whole sole of my shoe.

Methuselah is a Bristlecone pine (that's in the Great Basin Desert but actually in California somewhere) named for the long-lived bible character. I'm not sure if it still holds the record, but it was at least at one time the oldest known living tree. When I say old, I mean it was a young tree (about 300) when the first of the great pyramids was being built.
The exact location isn't disclosed by the forest service. As they don't want people taking "souvenirs" from it. But there was a poem written about it. For which I only recall one part "After the rise comes the fall. After the boom comes the bust. Remember man that thou art dust."
