Random history: the USS New Orleans also lost her bow from a torpedo detonating her forward magazine. Lost everything forward of the second turret. She didn't sink and was able to sail backwards to Australia for temporary repairs.
Not to be an ass but it was the USS Minneapolis who got the bow taken off not the New Orleans but the Minneapolis was a New Orleans class CA so I can see how u got them confused

U.S Carriers got teased in the Benham challenges, the next campaign we might get a test
I have faith in the devs to get carriers right. The Benham is a perfect example of how little faith the community has in the devs. Everyone was crying and complaining that Benham will be OP and it’ll be another Yuudachi but she’s perfectly balanced. And I’m betting carriers will be fall under the same fate.
@@alastor6114 same, especially since they understand some of their mistakes in PC, plus the overall success in the Yamato test, the dev's are doing a great job handling this game and will probably see a full release by summer time

I’m disappointed with how much they nerfed the distance compared to the Pc version. And I’m assuming unless I have both of those commanders I won’t have that same 5.5 detectability range. This was a bust
Level Bey all the way up. I believe Spartan only has him level 14. If you get him max to 16 legendary 2, you should be able to get the detection down to 5.4
I think this ship could use a buff. It feels balanced but underwhelming. I have the concealment at 5.4km but you need to traveling ahead of ships because the it’s still easy to get spotted if you are broadside and the torpedos are slow.
It’s not just the detection or speed of the torpedoes that’s horrible it’s also them nerfed damage. 9k per torpedo, not including each ships reduction to torpedo damage factored in. You could be doing 5k to some battleships
Prince Of Persia I hit a Roma with 6 torpedoes the other day and survived the initial hits.

I was watching this video on my headphones in the waiting room at the DR office. When the game said above average torpedo damage and your response was are you on crack!!!

Guys you should also check history about the destroyer USS Pope, Clemson type. Despite ww1 age, their cheap price allowed to mass produce them a lot before ww2.

See, I love this historical skin. I graduated as a world war 2 history major and I am in love with this game and there skins for added realism. I would love to have an opportunity to create every historical skin for every current ship because it adds so much nice detail to the game!! Everybody please help me get noticed to maybe get an opportunity with WarGaming to make some skins!!
Just a friendly reminder that the Gneisenau was spotting you at 3km because he is a Tier 6 battleship and all battleships Tier 6 and above have their guaranteed acquisition at 3km!

It's a weird design of a ship but I like that. Trying weird ships is my specialty and I love it! Though low-key? Would've been nice to make a nice museum for this ship.

Oh yeah...one of the 4 destroyers leading the way for Washington and South Dakota...except for Gwin, they all got torped to open the battle, sacrificing themselves to keep the battleships intact.
Curiously, it took several salvos to convince the Japanese that Washington and South Dakota weren't the "cruisers" they had been identified as all afternoon and evening long. Eventually, the size of the shell splashes made them see the light.
I think that when I get this I would put Atago as an inspiration and reduce the torpedo detection down from 1.1 to .9. with Atago that should reduce the torpedo reaction time down to around 6 seconds which is pretty good.
I've found that 5.7km detectability and below are playable DDs.... anything above that and you're more like a stealth cruiser without the health pool.

What up brother here's an idea for you American torpedoes give very little warning to their target which is why I have put atago 16/3 the commander on my ship with Bay for Obvious reasions mabey give it a shot.. or possibly use Tanaka to increase torpedo damage..for, for mentiond reasion (ie) low dammage..just a thought that I have tryed.peace.!!

Well i already got admiralty backing so i might as well try to get her😂even though they dont do a lot of damage theres a lot of torps and they reload fast so you can probably get nasty flood damage since floods suck like old pc
Hey spartan, noticed in a few vids you dont realise the guaranteed spotting range is 3km when an enemy has the upgraded sensor module which add 50% to RGA
When ever I play my destroyer when i get in the match i look at the leaderboard and think suicide torping into the biggest battleship on the enemy team

Nope deepwater torps aren't a thing on console. Instead she just gets better concealment torps

I wish that just like how the patch is, you can have the option to put a flag on your ship that is the same as your patch.

@@hyperv3nom921 Look at 10:34 when he brings up the aiming screen. As a fellow BB main. How I look at lead is this. The very first small notch is a quarter lead then 1 full lead then 1 1/2 lead then 2 then 2 1/2 and 3. So most Battleships will take usually 2 full leads with small adjustments. Cruisers usually get 3 full leads at range with some adjustments. DD's...3 full leads with some adjustments but only if you feel confident. As for Battleship accuracy. I play a ton of US BB's so I have Sims at Lvl 16. Legendary 3 full dispersion. Use a dispersion captain but the one thing you have to do is and I can't stress this enough is fire & dmg con management! Don't panic. Take out cruisers as quickly as possible. Depending on the nation you enjoy most. Just like me. Focus your promotional orders and insignias on a specific dispersion BB captain for instance for the USN Line. William Sims. Use minimap as much as possible to take crossfire opportunities while maintaining your priority targets like cruisers.

Carriers have been confirmed for a while. The German host in the live stream for the transformers content even said that they are coming but there is process of development and they will take time to be ready for console.0

Yeah that has happened a couple times not 100% sure why but it is like a glitch that happens occasionally because it seems very rare for me and random.

At least 8 or 8.5km range would have been fair. Theres hardly any point choosing this over the tech tree version. I think I'd even prefer the Monaghan torps over this despite the slow reload.

When carriers come in this game, those sniping BB's sitting/camping by themselves better watch out, your going to die really quick by plane torps. CVN's prevent camping due to there spotting range, and a good CVN player can spot those pesky destroyers.
CVN? Nuclear powered carriers? Lets start off with good old propulsion systems in smaller CVs before leaping to 100 plus aircraft super-carriers eh?

This is absolutely hilarious, everyone was crying Benham was going to OP before she was even added and now that we’ve gotten her she’s very balanced. I’m betting the same will go for Carriers, everyone will be bitching but when push comes to shove it will just show how the community has such little faith in the devs for no good reason.
A lot of folks just have no faith in WG but they forget that each game has a separate Dev team that is Independent of the WG as a Whole.

The ship is like one big target dummy and the planes do little damage. The only thing usefull i see carriers adding to the field is spotting.
