Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

My favourite poison type has to be Nidoking, it's amazing in the games that it's in, and poison and ground is an awesome type combo! It's really cool, too!
The first time I used a nidoking was in let's go pikachu and carry my team it became my favorite poison type in all a great pokémon

My fav poison type is gengar. I did a sword nuzlocke and with some help of my friend I got him. He was the only one surviving one of the gym leaders there (I was underleveled) and basically carried my run afterwards. Good old Scarecrow...

My favourite poison type is venomoth, it's got a lot of weaknesses true but I think it looks great and can have such a diverse moveset if you can use it properly.
Arbok Will always have a special place in my heart.
Plus, I don’t know, if I were to be miss Unova (I wouldn’t dare covet your throne) an Arbok by my side would make me feel like an absolute queen.
Poison and dark are my favourite types and poison definitely doesn't get the love it deserves. So many badass pokemon, so much type diversity. Favourites are venusaur and crobat, the first pokemon I ever used back in blue and I've never regretted using either since. Scolipede was so op it got the entire baton pass strategy banned back in gen 5

If you’re looking for non-monotype runs, maybe do sun/moon or US/UM using quadrupedal Pokémon only. I feel like that would grant you plenty of diversity while also limiting your options by a significant portion :)

Try to use Cloyster, it is an amazing Water/Ice type that you can get before the first gym if I am sure. And yeah, I understand why you struggle, ice types are just... amazing in defense :')

While I was playing Sun and Moon, I learned to Love the Combination of Toxapex with the Ability Merciless and Alolan Muk. Since then, Toxapex is my fav poison Type Pokemon.

My favorite poison type has to be Koffing/Weezing, but a close second is Ekans/Arbok. As well as two of just my favorite Pokémon in general, this is yet another example of Pokémon I loved so much in the anime that they became favorites because of their role/behavior in the show lol and also, poison typing is my second favorite type right behind the bug typing lol
My favorite poison type is amped up toxtricity, it's just so cool and its ability makes boomburst and overdrive do so much damage! I love poison types because of roxie in gen 5, who showed me the toxic venoshock strategy, which is one of my favorite move combos!

Naming the pokemon after drinks like the phrase "Pick your poison" very clever
Beedrill is my favorite poison-type, and favorite pokemon in general. The reason is actually funny: when I was a kid, I was playing the TCG with the kid across the street. One of my cards was a Weedle card that had a Poison Sting attack that poisoned the opponent. We didn't know the rules, so we thought that "poisoned" meant "instantly killed". We also thought you could retreat after attacking, so I would use Poison Sting, OHKOing whatever he had out, then retreat my Weedle (neither of us bothered with Retreat Cost) and putting something else that didn't have Poison Sting. Eventually, he got fed up and triple dog dared me to not retreat my Weedle. I didn't fall for the dare, until he managed to convince me that "triple dog dare" meant you HAVE to do it. Then my Weedle was killed.

Scolipede is one of my all time faves 😍 was great to see it be used in a run. He does have the silliest gallop lol. Also I'd argue Ericka is the most forgettable gym leader going by all the solo challenges and mono type runs I've been watching. Damn near everyone doing a gen 1 run is always like "crap! I forgot Ericka!" She's not a bad gym leader or character, she's just so easy to skip over till you actually need to have her badge to progress lol.

I just used Drapion for the first time in my BD/SP nuzlock and well, I swept through five of Cynthia’s before it fell. Easily took the place of Roserade as my new favorite poison type
Fav poison type is easily Drapion. Not only does it only have 1 weakness and learn Poison Fang (aka the sole most unbalanced damaging move ever change my mind-) , but it's dark-type while looking like a bug-type... aka my 2 favorite types
