- Trying the betel nut for the first time. Betel Nuts are known as the chewing gum of Taiwan.
It is mainly eaten eaten by taxi and truck drivers as an energy booster. It has a similar effect to caffeine or nicotine, which gives a effect of heightened awareness for period of time.
The taiwan government are trying to discourage the consumption of betel nut as it is a known carcinogens. Most betel nut chewers are prone to getting mouth cancer.
I think that's the first time I've ever seen Mrs. DancingBacons spit anything out. Even the stinky tofu didn't have such an extreme reaction! She's a trooper and I love her for it.
Hey, stinky tofu is way better than betel nuts okay.
Will , unlike normal chewing gum , you can't swallow betel nuts (too rough , you would rather swallow sugar cone or single-use chopstick.)
spit it out is the only way to eat it.
2020, surprise me.
*she disagrees the flavor*
Too much surprise.
*dislikes
This is my first time seeing her really dislike the taste of something 😂
Edit: thx for all the likes
LOL, it was funny! And she was still cute..
Samee
i was about to say the same dag gum thing
exactly I was about to say that too. I like these videos because of her funny smile.
Lmaoo
The few times when Miss DancingBacons doesn't like the food

Something she didn't like. Still her expression is cute
Ikr!
I agree! It’s ok not to like everything!
InscrutableOwl I love how I can tell when she doesn’t like something. She has many little expressions, from liking something a little, to absolutely despising something. She’s adorable!
UM SIMP , SUSSY BINGALAGOO
Finally that face expression we all been waiting for
shut the lips mate pls!
Yo I actually thought your comment was from thirty years ago 😂
True ..😂😂😂 I wouldn’t had tried that one .. me thinks ..
😷😂🤭😷✌🏽
I've never seen you so displeased by something you've eaten :D
yep drugs taste disgusting
It’s not drugs
2020: I'll spread CoronaVirus
DancingBacons: I'll upload drugs
Betel nut is not a drug, it's actually a medicine but people treat it like it's a cigarette or alcohol or whatever.
@@sidthejovian5105 yea, its also probably the most pleasant way to get cancer..
I remember walking the streets of Taipei and seeing red stains splattered all over the sidewalks semi-permanently, then I found out about the betel.
Hien Giang Do you live there by chance? I was born In Teinmu (spelling?) but left to USA at age 6 .. I’d love to go back and see where I was born .. and find the lady and man who cared for me back then.. I’d love to get a tour of the markets in Taiwan by the dancing bacons too ...
almost like india
Lmao, then it all made sense!
you didnt tell how they are sold..... skinnly clad pretty girls sitting behind glass with porn actress style heels and flashing neon lights.....
Well this is so common to find in India!! Every other middle aged men eats this daily in North India! Didn't know even other countries have this 😂 We call it "Paan" and modern day Indians hate this stuff 😂
Wait... what did she say? 😲
Still no answer. But she looked almost like she was gonna cry. It made me sad.
Thank you for your honest reaction&ability to try things that are unpleasant or strange to alot of us viewers. I love that about u two. Keep the great videos coming. Lots of love from the US. 🇺🇸
One of her most authentic reactions yet. Awesome video!
Love your channel and content. Please keep making these great videos.
2:45 Mistakes were made
Ты чо каждый день жуешь что ли??🤣🌺🤣
Hahaha most of Taiwanese don't like betel nut either.
Some people chewing it to refresh and stay awake, I think you already know how it works.😂😂😂
Thanks for the info
Yes good for studying
She is SUCH a good sport trying everything!
reminds me of my first time drinking beer as an adult at 22 ... "what the heck is this?! why do people like this!?" You learn from those around you and you train your self to like it ... Glad DancingBacons keep it real! Dont do what you dont want to do. Simple really.
You are literally encouraging people to develop cancer
This has to be the first time she really finds something absolutely disgusting!🤣🤣.
No she didnt smile :[

@@sirbearbotbear5087 You're replying to every comment with the same broad statement that doesn't make any sense.

That is the first!!! I was wondering WHEN, but finally... 😝 No polite smile with a nod of approval on THIS one! I LOVED the reaction though, thank you for posting. And don't be afraid to post more that you disapprove of, not everything out there tastes good you know! She's great... ❤
That must have been horrible for her. I've never seen such a response. Love the channel. Thanks for a new vid! Much respect.
I love how expressive she is you can tell when she doesn’t like something and when she loves something by the way her eyes light up. She didn’t like that one bit
"Alright, alright, alright" drugs make indifferent, what do I care ya 😂😂😂 Happy greets from Berlin 😉👍
@George Makedon Thx 😉👍
@George Makedon By the way, I am happy about every new subscriber 😉
Like watching Willie or Snoop roll one. Such precision
janscutter snoop has a guy he pays 40,000 a year plus all the extras to roll his blunts. Lucky guy.
@@JustMisFitz Wait, wait.. I could be paid to roll blunts for people?
I’ve tried betel nut before and yes, it’s a very interesting experience and the red spit threw me off lol though I chewed it without the leaf which I think makes it even stronger. Anyways glad you were able to have that experience :) FYI that nut is very popular in Guam and the CNMI
I love this channel! She has an honest smile but she never pays 🤔🤣🤣
For us as Indonesian, this is similar to "Menyirih" activities. Using betel leaves (Piper betle / daun sirih), areca nut (Areca catechu / biji pinang), and lime betel (kapor). Almost every indigenous tribe in the Indonesian archipelago, uses it as a traditional or for daily life. They say for dental health and strengthen it. After chewing they emit a red juice like blood. Bitter and spicy for sure, yaiks hahaha 🌰🍃
Terima kasih infonya kak
@@jiuccio sama² Kak 👍🏻😉
Makasih infonya kak, hahaha aku ga pernah nyobain menyirih, tapi pernah waktu pesawat dari medan ke jakarta dulu melihat orang menyirih, pengen nyobain tapi dimana hahaha
good explanation in malaysia also eat this sirih
Same here in malaysia. However these days only those really, really old people in rural areas or kampong still follow this culture. In fact one of my most vivid childhood memory is of my late grandmother. Everytime we go back to visit her at the village, she would always have her brass container in front of her with all the full set sirih ingredient. She'd spend the whole day chewing until her teeth turns bright red. I used to think she looks like a grandma vampire with blood dripping down her mouth lol.
Estoy enamorada de esta mujer, como me encanta su sencillez
2:45 a clear message for all restaurants n streets foods around the World dont mess with MrsDancingBacons.
Her best face expression yet. Her reaction made my day. Lol.
Thanks for sharing! Loving her not so usual reaction ☺️
I've tried betel nut before at my village, from my experience, it feels like chewing on a wood bark, it's really has a bitter taste but not too bitter though, the leaf is called 'daun sirih' in Melay, the leaf is normally use for medicinal purposes but I'm not sure why we have to chew it with the nut. The white thing is 'kapur' or chalk, I think, I don't know.
But when you eat it, it kinda created this weird feeling in your mouth where it starts to get numb and after chewing on it a couple times, it turns into a reddish colour when you spit it out.
I think we have that in the Philippines called "nganga"
"moma " it is mostly consumed in the mountain provinces. You'll know once you see the concrete roads stained red.
@@aprilasylum2512 facts!
It helps u relax, good for ur neuro system but.. Yes it is addictive
I had a 'marmalade on toast' flavoured biscuit a few days ago and my reaction was exactly the same. It should have tasted like choco orange, it smelled and tasted like the result of too much alcohol! Well done for trying it though, life is for trying new things 😊
Keep healthy there DancingBacons
I think the lady rolling may possibly be using her own supply. Thanks so much for sharing. Love your vids from San Diego, CA. God bless ALL and stay safe
I thought "oh she isn't going to enjoy that", not surprised! Funny reaction!
Her expression is priceless!
She is so good at this💯💯👌
This is my very first time I have ever ever seen your wife not smiling when she’s trying something to eat wow I can believe you guys found something she actually didn’t like 😂
love your expression. I wish they would explain taste
Wow... super recipe...
i dont think she liked it lol
Drugs arent good
Well no one is chewing these for their taste, it's the rush you get from the drug.
@@sirbearbotbear5087 Neil my bro, drugs are pretty amazing, amphetamine does wonders for runny noses, alcohol is pretty universally loved, don't knock it until you try it.
TourFaint but still i dont want to put my brain in a bad mindset
@@sirbearbotbear5087 stop ingesting anything then.
We also have this back in the northern part of the Philippines although we usually use the mature or older husked areca nut. Usually part of the offering to the dead but still widely used by the elderly or those living in and around the mountains of Cordilleria. Never tried it though but they say it has mild hallucinogenic property which can be addictive similar to nicotine. They can make your spit red or pinkish and regular consumption will destroy your enamel much worse than candy.
Very interesting
In Indonesian traditional weddings it's wrapped in mint (?) and used to be served to the family and guests, but now for legality and simplicity reasons people would use mint candies instead
Also cheers for trying that 🤣
Will there be more videos of not liking foods? This was funny
They should start selling these in the U.S. Americans would love these!
Looking at the expression, I am also curious about the taste
How does Taiwan's gum taste?
search fire paan india. its better, maybe.
I liked it! It must be a guy thing.....good with a beer and smoke afterwards
it tastes extremely bitter and it has an acrid nutty tone to it
Priceless reaction!
betel nut: evolves 100000 years so that finally mammals wont eat me
humans in 2020: I CHEW DIS N FEEL VERY GUD :D
So for people that don’t understand the beetlenut is basically the Taiwanese equivalent of chewing Tobacco. It even gives you a mild high, and most of the places selling have cutes girls to push the product. It a pretty weird thing to a foreigner
Best reaction ever!! ♡
好好玩,居然試吃檳榔!
建議第一次吃檳榔要吃比較嫩的,剖半就好了,然後可以加點梅子粉。
I love the Lady!!! Her expressions are wonderful. It must be REALLY bad for her to make a face like that!!
🤣🤣🤣
Even Guam eats that too. And I’m glad that I don’t have a taste for it.
My grandma chew betel nuts since her was kid and now almost 100 years still got her smile :)
She really ads a lot to the enjoyment of these videos! :)
What does it taste like? Does it excite you more than caffeine or as much as?
Just in case people aren’t too sure. You take the betal leaf not for the taste, and you are suppose to spit it out after couple of chews. People take it cos supposing gives you a semi high, adrenaline kinda rush. Doesn’t last very long tho.
I am pretty certain the was a world record for most leaf gum balls rolled in 2 minutes.
When you visit India try "mitha pan" you will surely like. It
Your wife is a legend :DD
Legendary hamster
Our* wife 😏
Chronicflame wtf
:D defently not one of her favorites :D thats the first time that she doesn't smile i think :D , very funny :D Thanks for the interesting and funny video. Stay both healthy.
Es la primera vez que lo la veo sonreír 🤭🤭🤭, su cara muy graciosa 😁😁😁
Her reaction is priceless 😂🤢 she's still adorable ❤️♥️
LOl, her reaction was priceless :D
Thats gum?? Oh wanna try 👍
As someone from Taiwan, this is not a snack nor street food. It’s more like cigarettes or coffee, it is used by some taxi and long distance drivers to stay awake.
It is also very addictive, but it’s not really a food. It’s like chewing tabacco, you spit it out after you chew it.
我們都不太敢吃檳榔了!妳勇氣可嘉啊!其實檳榔冬天很暖和的東西,裡面有含酒料,所以吃檳榔汁液都要吞下去。
Her expression was priceless 😂😂😂
Hi 👋 Can I ask you about your name & your nationality please?? 🤔 Anyways your channel is so amazing 👍 I love it 💗
It's bitter? Sour? I was really curious.
OMG!! 😂😂
I ❤this girl so much!!
Her reaction? I just wanted to give her a hug 🤗 ❤❤😂👍
I have tried it. The flavor is not that bad but it takes time to get use to it and like it. Also it’s forbidden to eat a lot because it’s said to be addictive and will cause gum disease.
In india, we call this paan.
But the betel nut is crushed and it’s called supari.! And it has various other things in it which makes it flavourful and removes that strong and pungent flavour
what is the leaf and the white paste around the nut?
😂😂😂 Miss Bacon did not enjoy that! She’s so frigin cute.
Very good!!🙏😍😍🤩
Production rate: 4.3 seconds per nut. 10 nuts from 0:53 to 1:36. How many nuts per bag?
Her reaction is adorable XD
Я смотрю только из за ее реакции )))
горько ? кисло ? или все вместе ? )
Was it good??
oh, it's same with the philippines but called as nganga and when you chew, it will extract some red liquid. it has bitter taste and believed as an alternative to make the teeth stronger.
I first thought it was a bug on thumbnail 😂😂😁😁. Well nope after corona everything looks suspicious n alien 🤣🤣.
What is the white stuff spread on the leaf?
Good 👍👍
Also popular in Guam
what is the effect of the betel nut? Is it like tobacco?
Her expression explain everything :(
She... did she spit something?!
2020 is sure full of surprises...
We called it "Paan Shupari" here in Bangladesh 🇧🇩..
When she chew it and was like why did you make taste it? It's so bad!! Hahahahaha
My late Grandma chew this all the time. She had a tin can filled with ingredients and a peculiar round scissor to cut them with. she chew it like tobacco. It has strange minty limey smell. She lived up to her late 80's
Honestly I don't blame Mrs. Dancingbacons for spitting it out considering the health warnings
Looks like the modern betel nut has been watered down in ingredients. I remember there being 2-3 more things they added to the nut itself before being wrapped.
What did she say at the end?
We also have that here in Philippines.
Soooo funny the face you pulled 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢😝😝😝🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷💕
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 oh my! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 ohhhh she made me laugh....I won’t be trying this 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
