NICE job man! I would take off the fuel filter though they are known to hold back the oil out of the gas.

Hey guys like I mentioned I’m in the middle of building the same setup as this one people have been using ninja 300 radiators and using a 1.75. V band for the exhaust neck and it works great
it was stock 14 front yz250 gear with a blaster 40t back it was fast for street (110 mph top speed) but needed more bottom so it has now a 12t yz front and a 42t blaster rear,it has all the power needed to climb any hill you want but also top speed roughly 80 mph now.
Thats a sick Blaster you got bud! I just disassembled my 06se blaster to powdercoat the frame and foot pegs, and the sprocket hub and I will paint the a arms. I have a complete dt200l and I am going to put that motor in it
Thanks. It got a new chain as it was winter months and I didn't ride it much.
No there was no frame cutting besides cutting off blaster motor mounts and open the gap between swingarm(and they both need cut and relocated reason why I just went with building a custom swingarm.
I didn't want to run the fuel filter but the hose always gets a kink after a week or two of fuel in it thus I run the 90* filter. It works well now for 2 years.
I'm in my second yz build also as we speak.

yes.that how I did to get a tight fit. and cylinder level minimizes vibration.
I had to cut the factory engine mounts off and made new ones out of 1/4"steel. Rear swingarm needed to be moved to the left side(onthe bolt/moving the 1x2bars) 3/4"to line the carrier w sprocket with the engine and to make the yz engine fit the widened space on the swingarm bolt area. Thus is the basic reason I made a custom swing arm using only the factory carrier flange and factory swingarm tube/needle bearing/and race. I cut a 3/4 circle out if the 1x2 steel I have for the swing arm, then hang/slide the bars over the factory tubes with bearings I cut away from the factory swingarm .then line it up w the sprockets. Its work but it was just time consuming.

Just recently bought a blaster roller and a donor yz 250 engine. I am watching this video over and over and over again. Where could I possibly buy the sheet to build a skid plate for added reinforcement just like yours ?
I have 1/4" solid steel mounts on engine. As long as the mount is welded in tight there will be No vibration. Mine has None......... As I learned that ob my first build with a 81 yz250 aircooled on a blaster.

Hello just about to mount my yz250 motor in my blaster should I tighten my mounts to the motor then weld them to the frame and should the top of my cylinder b level ?
Hey do you know what front shocks will work with little to no modification on the blaster? I’ve got an 04 and the options are pretty limited in 2022, so I’m looking to do a swap off another quad. I heard the banshee shocks are a small upgrade but not by much. Id like to get something adjustable with a remote reservoir if possible, but Elkas are about the only thing decent I can find and even stage 1’s with no Rez are $800

How is the vibration I'm building a yz blaster now with the same year engine As u just wondering if I should solid mount it or rubber mount it

How hard was the swap? I have a blaster with a blown engine. Pretty good at welding so that will be no problem. didn't have to cut the frame or anything did you?

Awesome job man. I have a 07 yamaha rapter 350 and I swapped the engine with a 95 yamaha yz250 it has a 13 tooth front sprocket and the rapter has a stock 39 tooth rear sprocket. What is your sprocket size and what would you recommend, I want speed but I dont wanna compromise all my power I wanna pull wheelies without a fight

I run a 12 on front, mostly a 40 or 39 in back. When i climb i run a 41 in back. Still tops out at 80ish with gearing but screaming too.
