  • India's "Water Gate". Srirangapatna was an eye opener as far as India's history. We should learn more about these historical turning points in school.

    Hi Nancy, I watched all the 15 your You tube videos. Excellent job. Me and my wife live in the USA now and we are from Chennai India, In October 2014 after Deepavali, we took the same tour arranged by a Canadian Tour operator and followed you guys from Chennai, Mahapalipuram, PondiCherr, Tanjore, Madurai, Thekkadi, Cochin, etc and we were 6 days behind you ad stayed in the same hotels that you guys stayed. You appreciated our India and enjoyed even small things. Thank you. Dan

      +Nancy Ioannidis I watched all of your videos because I took the same trip again in my memory lane, You appreciate India and its culture. we are the original Indians, called Dravadians and I speak Tamil, my mother tongue. I go to Chennai each year around Deepavali Holidays and travel around Chennai and Madras State.I also watched your Sri Lanka videos especially Pinnawala Elephantvisit, Happy Travels, Regards.........Dan

      +Dan R "we are the original Indians, called Dravadians". Are you really nuts? The whole Aryan-Dravidian theory has been debunked long ago. It was just a hoax theory invented by the Britishers to create a divide between Indians so that it would be easier to maintain control over India. I see a stupid racist hidden inside you.

      @ad8369 Před 7 lety

      The southern dark skin come from somewhere in ancient times and mix with Chinese and the native white skin since ancient times. I agree with you that Dravidians do not exist. It is just a theory and someone needs to set the record straight.

    Hi Nancy......... I am a travel organiser and guide based in Mumbai. Your documentary is much appreciated for the time and effort you put in and to publish it for everyone's benefit. What Sudhakar-ji showed you is the Real India......... (although it seemed to me that he thought you people had just landed from Mars).......... But, even with that attitude, (and perhaps because of that) he did really made you guys to work, and walk, to see India so closely, which is how a true Guide should take a tour. I think he was fantastic.
    In this docu, you come out as a very sweet considerate person, very excited and incredibly warm. I watched all the 15 episode through and through. Loved each moment of it. One point which is to be noted (and i am impressed by you) is that of your being alert with your camera, was when the kids started 'pouring out' of the autorickshaw near Mandya. You were ready to observe and record. I could count 12 children, at the least. That's a snippet of what India is, and its problem, its idiosyncrasies, its contradictions, its simplicity, and its craziness, (what we call as juggaad culture) but somehow we try and live with what we have, adjusting as far as possible without much fuss or fury. So, Thanks for taking us through your experience's in India. Jai Hind!! Jai Humanity!!!

We had a little alternative route than yours (we drove from Kochi to Coimbatore then to the mountainous Ooty for couple days from there to the city of Mysore then to- Halebidu temples on in between- Hasan for the festivities of jain deity Shavanabelagola mahamastakabhisheka, Bhagawan Bahubali, then drove to Bengalaru fron where we flew to Mumbai.
