I have been meeting hundreds of foreign tourists in and around New Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Patna, Kolkata, Kashmir, Nepal, Chennai and many parts of India in these 48 years. But, believe me, I have never come upon a scene where foreigners enjoy the street foods ( in our parlance, platform food ). Your humane touch towards fellow human is indeed, the great. The guide talks many incorrect information about Caste systems. Hope he purposely wanted to stress the word caste for some reason. I don't think people not travelling in riksha because of caste, they are going by bus because of fast and convenient.

Why don't Indians follow traffic rules?
Some do..but in country of billion people, most of them are in a hurry 'me first attitude'.
