  • I've heard over and over that I need to get a Casio Duro, and finally I made that happen. This watch is really something special, and especially for what it cost. I believe this is a watch that everyone should have in their collection, and if you agree, check out the link below!

I have two Duro`s, one for work(marine industry) and one for play. They are outstanding, tough as nails and good looking. The style is simply perfect. There is no measurable time drift over 2 months and are accurate enough to navigate with.. Nothing comes close, everything considered.

I've had this watch for 4 months and it's been through many torture tests with me. I've been diving, hiking, climbing, accidentally smashed it into a pole and even got into a car crash and still, this watch is alive and accurate.
I didn't expect this kind of quality from a 40$ watch.

The Casio Duro is just fantastic! It goes to prove you dont need to spend hundreds to get a good quality watch ! And the Seiko skx could only dream of the Duros accuracy! Yes Duro is quartz but at the end of the day accurate time keeping is surely why we buy a watch ?? Cheap Automatics or not so cheap with skx now a days are really junk and this watch is far better in every way !!

Nice, honest review. The Duros are top of the hill-bang for the buck-and look and wear great in and out of the water. I don’t think the strap is the worst I’ve ever worn comfort-wise but agreed for a few extra bucks you can demonstrate why this watch is a great Strap Monster. I have five Duro variations for different looks and occasions and for the price point I can’t think of another brand that offers this versatility. Now, if Casio only offered a black face with an orange dial…😀

It's a great every day watch, I know because I have three. Black, black/gold and the blue.but sadly it's no competitor to the SKX.
If it was ISO rated, had comparable lume and an automatic movement then maybe. It's saving grace is the short lug to lug (considering the 44mm case), and the fact that it is a strap monster.

@@NotAnotherWatchChannel yes, I can agree with you that. Most people who buy dive watches (desk divers) rarely if ever buy them for their intended use but rather for their practicality, robustness and looks. Others like myself collect them not just for the preceding examples but for their technological innovativeness and for diving.
I'll probably never use my Duro's for diving because I have iso rated watches for that but I can and do appreciate that you get a lot of bang for your buck.

This being said I’m thinking I would be better off to go back to the Casio Duru maybe get a blue dial and a custom strap if I can,,,looks like they’re making them a little smaller than the one that I had years ago though,,, however the one that I had years ago was a tough watch and it lasted a long time I had the battery changed three or four times I think.I don’t know whatever happened to it after the band broke I kept it in my pocket I just used it as a pocket watch these are good watches👍

There has been a lot of hubbub about the marlin logo going away and changing to model 107, but I have yet to find a 107 for sale in the US. My only small gripe is the 44mm case diameter. Not a make or break, but meh. If Casio made this in 41mm and mabye even 39mm, they'd sell a million in a week.

A search for MDV-107 produces the same six 106 models but no 107s. I did find a couple of other sellers that offer the 107 and are apparently in the US or at least ship to the US. So the 107 is most likely a non-US or non-North America model. Perhaps Amazon USA would ship to a European address? I haven't lived in Europe since 2003, and I don't remember using Amazon while I was there.
