How Install Husky Wheel Well Liners-2021 F150

- In this video I go through how to install Husky wheel well liners in a 2021 F150. These are different liners than the 2015 though 2020 liners so the you can't re-use those liners from your old generation F150. However if you have Husky floor mats those do fit perfectly from the older generation to the 2021.
Only tools you need to get this done is a 10mm socket and a ratchet. Total install time is less than 15 minutes.

Good video; thanks!
Just put them on my ‘22 F150 Lariat. Took me less than 30 minutes for both sides, and I lost 3-5 minutes re-reading the instructions and then I FORGOT to put the clips on before I put on the passenger side. Tried to wedge my arm up there like you did, but I ended up having to take that liner back out. The thing that made it hard was that that liner was snug.
Looks a lot cleaner than the exposed
metal of the bed and frame.
Very helpful video Dan. Thank you. I am 70 years old and had no problems with the install. I researched the various brands available and agree with Dan - the Husky brand liners cover more of the wheel well and look like they came with the truck. The other brands leave a gap and appear incomplete. I no longer have the manual dexterity and strength as young Dan enjoys. I found using a deep dish socket helpful in backing up the rubber washer when pushing the christmas tree button through the washer. Use the Husky brand wheel liners.
From one Dan to another, great video. Instructive!
Nice job with this video.
Thanks for doin stuff Dan.
You bet!! Thanks for the view and comment!
Man U made it seem so easy.
You got this! Just go slow and thanks for the comment and view!
Thanks Dan and I subscribed.
How well would these work in a winter with snow? Would they need to be removed to clear salt buildup?
Dan is cute!
I went as far as under coating the entire wheel well prior to installing the liners adding a little more rust prevention.
Don’t want that aluminum to rust now 😂
He lost me when he said 10mm
😆
It's sad dealers have people thinking these are "extras or aftermarket" add ONS. I'm 36 and every vehicle I've ever had came with the fender well covers. Even my 2021 f150. No Xtra charge or fee's.... Because they are factory and supposed to be on the truck. Now my buddies 2022 truck did not have them and the reason was "COVID" had everything on backordered and there were none in stock at any plant👍
will these fit the 6.5 ft bed?
Great video just a question i have mud flaps already on do they have to be removed. Thanks Gary
Thanks for the watch and comment! I don't personally have them on my truck but based on the way mudflaps mount you should not have to remove them to do this install in my opinion.
I got the Husky muddlaps and had them on before installing the liners.
You don't have to remove the flaps for the liners. I was happy to find out that I didn't have to remove any of that.
Awesome products and thanks for this video. Helped me know how to put ont he liners.
Hi
What color is that truck ?
Thank you
Nice touch - acting like you forgot the j clips so we would not forget
did you bring in a rain machine to make this video more cinematic or was that just actual rain?
Lol just nature!
I had a difficult time getting the rear truck bolts to go back in the spot. It almost seemed like the bolt was too big to get all the way through
Length or width?
@@BigbeardMN width. For some reason when I was screwing it in, the threads were being stripped away. I got it mostly secured but it’s definitely not as tight of a screw as I’d like lol
@@parapatty13 dang I am sorry that happened for ya!
mine full stripped the screw, i got new ones, and then ended up having to run a tap through (from the backside) to clean up the threads
are you gonna do mudflaps?
Honestly I won't unless I put more aggressive tires on the truck. On other trucks I had I put them on, but I didn't think they were worth the money as they didn't hang low or provide that much protection. Thanks for the comment and do what you think looks best!
hi thanks for the video, may I know the part number is it 79131 or 79161?
thanks
For sure! 79161 and I paid $139.95 from their website. Thanks for the watch and comment!
can't really tell, but the husky liner cover the frame? I believe the ford version only covers the bed
Yup the Husky Liners cover the frame and go down roughly 8 inches from that back bolt on the inside of the liner.
@@BigbeardMN thanks. That does seem to be a lot more coverage and help hide potential future rust on the frame.
@@Batmanstang You bet and that is why I go with them over the Ford factory ones, plus I think they look better! The Husky floor mats are also awesome and have the x-act contour series.
Do they feel secure in there or kind of flimsy?
Mine feel really secure considering you need to push them up in the well and the edges tuck in on the inside edge of the fender lip. Now they aren't perfect all the way around as I have a couple tiny gaps but have never had a problem with them moving around especially with tons of snow and ice packed up in them during deep snow driving. Thanks for the view and comment!
It sucks prices have increased by almost 25% in one year.
What I don’t understand is why they don’t come factory? Husky is definitely cheaper than ordering on the ford site. 👍🏽
Amen buddy! You spend that much on a truck and you get rug samples to protect the floor 😀! Thanks for the watch and comment and have an awesome day!
@@BigbeardMN got my Space White sport/FX4 302A coming in next month! Might order these ahead of time. Cheers!
@@raygomez3935 Awesome truck and I love that color! Congrats!
And the Ford ones are $200.
Is that fit f150 XLT 2022 too?
Yup as nothing changed with the chassis from 2021 to 2022 and the website has the same item number for the different years. #79161.
@@BigbeardMN that great and thank you sir.
Where u get at?

He's correct, it is not hard. Thus no need to watch.
Love to buy some but they don’t make it for my truck… 10th gen f150 😢
