    Thanks for the mention. I didn’t figure this out by myself. It’s off-the-record advice from mechanics (not at Snow City).

    Haven't had to break in a new bike yet as all of mine have been used. Regardless, that MT-07 is a SWEET looking bike. Thanks for the tip on breaking in a bike and enjoy that ride as much as you can before the snow starts flying.

    Ride it like you're on the track. Only way to get full compression

    Or you could just read the manual and do as the manufacturer of the bike says to do. And then if you have a problem with the engine they can't say well you didn't do proper break in. And they know if you do it properly because of all the little sensors in the engine.

    I got my MT07 at the same time you did. I've broken in several new bikes. I vary my speed. It isn't that hard while riding around town and on country roads most of the time. I stay off the interstates. I never get over 6k anyways. 4 to 5 ks is just fine with me.

    This is how it's done. Dealer tells you that because not all a trained riders.
    I ride 35 years. I ride smooth and don't load the engine. Or as you say lug. Down shift also is good. Never stay on same speed to long and yes let it cool. Don't sit in hot traffic

    Good videos and it gave me good idea about the subject. I am picking up my new MT03 from Snow City in few days and I live 75 km from the dealer.
    Is it ok to ride the bike on 401 to my home for 75 km on highway speed or should I get a trailer and transport it?

    Did a soft break-in on my CBR-250R and after 35 000km despite lugging my fuel economy is 2.6L/100km, though it does burn oil if I go above 8 000 rpm, I can fix that by changing to more expensive oil.

    • @Brownbrady
      @Brownbrady  Před 2 lety +1

      That's real good fuel economy. Thanks for commenting.

      @@Brownbrady Trying to get as good fuel economy as Sendler, but I will need new sprockets, speedo healer and fuel map. My commute averages 80km/h at 15km distance with idling for three minutes before setting off. I'm a student so every penny counts lol.

    I got the same bike also from Toronto. I'm loving it. Just fast enough to not get bored and not fast enough to loose my license again. I'm new in town here because I'm from Vancouver. Maybe we can ride together as I don't have any riding buddies here in toronto.
