Gm bearings are split and have a seam the more wear the thinner they are and loosen up in bore and walk out never seen damage to block. most replacement I've used durabond, and mahle are one solid piece
Had same problem with my 2005 6.0. Machine shop said they've seen this a lot in the 6.0
Great video 😊
Your trading up game is on point mate damn..🔥🌶️ hot az fark ..
been watching on another chanel, you know your stuff, will be watching. funny job, I'm putting 5.3, l33 into my dodge ramcharger, just waiting for my painless wiring, some may ask why, I say why not..
That's right don't look at em 😄
So do you clock your cam bearings 1 and 5 to line up with the oil holes or clock them in 8 and 4 offset? Seems to be a lot of folks do it one or the other way! I tend to think it is what causes that FAILURE
Had a friend fight his cam for 3 days I finally stopped by when I had time THE FUEL PUMP WAS STILL ON THE ENGINE LOL he was a youngen didnt know about MECH PUMP RODS
So that bearing had actually seized and spun ?
I've seen this a couple of times on 6.0s. Both times, the intake gaskets had been removed and the gasket service cleaned with a 3M Scotch Brite Pad. I think this leads to the cam bearings failure ( long story). I know GM has a service bulletin that scotch brite pads are not to be used on engine components. Ford does also. Did you get the heads with this engine? Did they show signs of being scotch brite cleaned? Or any other gasket surfaces?
One engine I had the cam bearing came out and I drove it 1000 miles with 18 lbs oil pressure to get back home. The rest of the engine was fine. My machine shop has also seen this a few times. I think it's a pretty common thing.
There is a foot note in the TSB to avoid all eye contact with the cam bearing. Treat that bitch like Medusa
The woman says she isn’t dressed for today’s video……..it’s ok darling you still look good
She ain't dressed right? He's the one in white, I'm not even allowed to own white shirts any more
Honestly she seems more cooler than Liv, and gets involved more with Travis when Liv seemed to just stand around.
Found the exact same thing in mine! What's to keep this from happening on a performance build?
Actually changing them when you have the motor out. These failures are from 20 years and +300k miles of use and infrequent oil changes.
If you weren't so far away 😔😔😔
Pin your ls cam bearings people. Search brand racing engines for more info.
How do one go about purchasing one of your blocks?

@@travisblack417 which platform and what’s the page name?
@@shyne662 IG is easiest and it’s just my first and last name.
How much for that cam with shipping???😂
If you’re actually serious dm me. I wouldn’t use it. There’s a slight blemish on one of the mains of the cam from the drill.
Have any engines forsale

@@travisblack4175.3 non dod with new cam bearing
It no good now that's suck
It looks like some idiot put the cam bearings in the wrong sequence and made a big mistake here to me they have to go in in the proper sequence or this is exactly what happens right here so whoever installed those bearings and it wasnt gm is to blame
I’m pretty sure this engine had never been apart. It was out of a high mileage work truck.
