I now also stream on Twitch! While the main game will probably be Warframe, I am planning on keeping my Twitch on variety, so that I can enjoy other games there. My CZcams will remain focused on Warframe for now.

A useful warframe clock overlay hunters use to keep track of time left in/until night. This is featured in the bottom left corner of all my runs. It also tracks other useful info like arbi and kuva node rotations.

I was NOT expecting my sleepy azz to be called out by the quiz section…bro spooked me with an actual pop quiz😂
I’ve never heard u swear in a vid that caught me off guard lol
Tbh that’s true. Only shows up about once every 30-50 vids
“a fuckin… stug”😭
The idea of using Stug against acolytes confounded him so much he had to express it raw
I asked this question on the subreddit and no one gave me a solid answer as to how the mechanics actually worked. People listed stuff that worked but not why they do more damage to acolytes vs say, the torid/burston/any meta ad-clear weapon.
So ty very much for this in depth explanation.
This is really helpful as now anyone can actually learn the mechanics and come up with their own build ideas rather than just copy someone else's build.
They still going to copy and paste doe lol...me myself was like you at your place In the game. I wanted to do it myself. That I did and theory crafting is why I even have so many hrs in this game today. Enjoy making builds my fellow Tenno
@@TPCvsJDU If people want to copy others and not think about builds then that's their decision. Personally, RPGs (single player or MMOs) are most fun when i can come up with builds and test them myself. If i wanted to focus on shooting, other games with more complex shooting mechanics are what I'd go for (which I do, certainly).
but to each their own.
@@pathfinderamihan6753 yeah that's they choice. Also if they see this as a shooter that's they choice...but yeah making my own builds turn me up. Especially when I take non meta weapons and design metas before people catch on!
This is really helpful info. Could we get a similar video for demolists?
Bring the stug for acolytes, got it
My Onos Saryn staring menacingly from the corner
Mag with her 4 augment laughing alongside
Makes sense now why my trumna reg mode just tickled them compared to alt fire that one shot them.
The "were you paying attention" bit is pretty neat honestly. Wouldn't mind seeing more of those (if it's not too much trouble).
The pop quiz at the end is a nice touch. More please
Useful to know! I usually just hold E with the Praedos. Might as well use it for something more than movement buffs :)
Laetum is king for pretty much anything in the game.
If you like walking around aiming for headshots while the rest of your squad flies through the map deleting everything in their path
@@OggerFNsounds like a skill issue if it slows you down like that lol
@@OggerFN I can see that vision, while I also do that with my Phenmor for Archon Hunt, it generally wouldn't take very long to just do 3 headshot kills and rush to the scene.
And if your teammates outperform you, I don't really see that as a bad thing, it's nice to carry, and it's nice to be carried.
Sounds like I gotta switch my Laetum back to a crit build. No wonder my Laetum has been weak vs acolytes.
@@krisv1038
No it's just that using aoe weapons are way better than single target except in very few cases
Thanks I’ll keep this in mind when bringing acolyte killers 😁
thanks, I loved the test at the end
even doing a little test at the end of the video so we better remember what we learned. your taking the informative part very seriously
Legendary stug
what made me love the praedos as a movement stat stick even more is that when you put the impact armor strip mod on it it can kill an acolyte with a few frantic hits. tennokai heavy slash procs work their magic.
Are you like some kind of wizard? Are we a hive mind? I've been recently thinking exact same question: what is the weapon I should bring to deal with the acolytes and here is your video.
its the algorithm..any vid you want to watch will be made beforehand
Very insightful, thank you
do these rules also apply to the rogue necramechs in the sanctum? so projectile aoe will be best for those too?
they follow their own rules. Dystopia has a video breaking the math down, as I am less familiar with them. Acolytes are the only ones that use this iteration to my knowledge.
Thanks, as always!
I am subscribed man dont forget about us. You always shout out the x percent that's not subscribed but, we are also here. And why did metion the perigale?, it is a hitscan AOE from hipfire and is juiced when you get a headshot

damage attenuation vid let's goooooo
Where does yareli's bubble gun fall in this list? proj-aoe? I understand the mechanics around it can be weird sometimes. (bc everything yareli is riddled w/bugs)
That's what ive been missing, thx
I liked the quiz at the end
Super useful Thx
So that's why. I was wondering why my gas armor strip dagger can get acolyte quickly but not my Torid Incarnon.
nawww we getting mid-video quiz now?? time to lock in and ACTUALLY make notes
How about Melee? Or is it similar, things like glaive, zaw contagion and incarnon projectiles do more damage, but normal does less? Was this the same attenuation on those thief enemies that split in Demios?
I was using Loki with damage decoy for a riven challenge and had a acolyte spawn. I was expecting to be downed but when i cast decoy he focused on it and died after only like 3 swings of his sword, it worked very well.
How, uh, how did you know I wasn't subbed?!?
hello azn guy. How is korumm after the slam attack changes?
I have a semi random question- How do headshots register with wide beam (Ignis) and wave (Arca Plasmor) weapons? Even Aoe)? In other words what constitutes a head shot? Im trying to figure out if Heavy Caliber is viable for mass headshots...
Is it if only any small part of the beam hits the head, or over 50% hitting the head, does all of the beam/ wave have to hit the head? Or maybe it goes off of a certain size area in the center?
I can't figure it out lol.
They don't have headshot multipliers, tho as long as the killing shot touches the head it counts as a headshot so they can still trigger headshot kill requirements like deadhead and Galvanised Scope, but these are rarely used on them so... yeah
ive been putting pocket sand on more frames
its kinda fun making a buncha kavats
Love the “dora the explorer” type content at the end 😂
Cedo is great on them
hey AZN
got any ideas for a nuke excal build?
(non-exalted blade build pls, I am a grown up)
This might sound stupid, but do the weapons that are non-aoe projectile weapons (bows, bubonico, exergis etc) in the projectile AoE category? Or in the normal bullet category?
And also the reason why stropha can one shot them is not because its heavy attack is a plasmor type weapon, but because stropha's heavy attack deals a lot of damage, correct?
The bows are wave projectiles like plasmor. Exergis is a projectile pellet shotgun, bubonico is a projectile in primary mode and a projectile aoe in altfire mode. This also explains how bubonico altfire can do a surprising amount of damage to acolytes, when it isn’t typically seen as a dps tool to start with.
Stropha is just a case of big damage and crits. Imagine if you gave a tenet arca plasmor 1100 base damage, multiplied by 12x combo, and gave it bloodrush and weeping. Looks a lot stronger than our current plasmor, right?
@@Aznvasions
By bows i meant your average normal bows like cernos prime or normal modes of the dread and paris.
And idk the interaction of projectile pallet shotguns like exergis and normal mode bubonico with acolyte attention.
You did explain the AoE, but i am curious about the direct hit or non-aoe projectile weapons
@@TierdDoktor6391 bows are considered just normal projectiles, though for the sake of GunCo, MOST bows scale the bonus off the uncharged shot, even when charge shooting.
@@Aznvasions
I am still confused about NON-aoe projectile weapons, do they also ignore acolyte attention? Or do they get effected by it like normal/aoe hitscan weapons?
@@TierdDoktor6391 they usually just have normal scaling. Bonuses if they happen to have multiplicative GunCO. For example, the Aeolak is a projectile normal weapon, and has multiCO. It absolutely rips through Acolytes like butter.
Torid regular mode is surprisingly really good against them I usually switch out of incarnon mode and two shot them
Yup, projectile aoe :)
Does this same logic apply to the effervo boss?
my secondary sporelacer melts acolytes so easily and its the weapon I've been using since I started playing essencially (loved deimos lol), so when I first encountered an accolyte I was nervous cause I always heard people talk about how to beat them and assumed it would be difficult
dude just blew up from 3 shots of my sporelacer lmao
I never understood why, so thanks for making this video, now everything makes so much sense... while at the same time raisnig some questions
why are the easiest weapons to land a hit with, not have attenuation? This is totally nonsensical, I don't know what DE is thinking, with the sporelacer you just have to shoot to the floor near them and they melt, but with a weapon where you have to actually aim, the damage attenuation is insane, I just don't understand DE's decision making sometimes
Okay but question... i usually take stahlta to my disruption run and have noticed that the shots just seem to bounce off accolytes kinda like when you shoot a nullifier bubble? Like it happens nore often that actually hitting... might be some ability of theirs that im not aware of... anyone know whats happening?
There is an acolyte that casts Zephyr’s turbulence and deflects all projectiles near it
Sir on the burston incarnon...go check my burston incarnon test on steel path..
can u please do one of this but for condition overload and gun CO? I know its not consistent but maybe the basics?
All my videos have a pinned spreadsheet in comment and description for GunCo :) unfortunately, you can’t really predict how GunCo works in advance on projectile weapons
@@Aznvasions ok thanks❤️
What's a good KZarr build for Acolyte killing? Raw Corrosive?
that's the best setup for it, unless full strip, then would be viral
Everybody gangsta till malice shows up
The torid regular fire mode shreds acolyte tho
Yup, and that’s because the blob is…a projectile AoE :)
Anyone know the intro song?
meanwhile me with vasto incarnon: what's acolyte?
So that's why my seemingly weak kuva tonkor utterly decimates acolytes XD
I've been mastery rank 30 for about 4 months and I just now built an amp. The 777. Lol
i kinda stopped caring about finding other acolyte killing weapons when the ceramic dagger got its incarnon adaptor. a viral build will one shot an acolyte that is full stripped for a concerningly long time.
12x combo slam sancti magistar incarnon
Ceramic dagger with corossive on it one-shot Acolyte
Yup, those throws actually have an aoe at the point of impact
Do they work similarly to necramechs?
Necramechs have their own unique attenuation equation. I haven’t figured it out yet but it is basically just use higher fire rate weapons. They don’t penalize aoe variants
@@Aznvasions
Dystopia has made video (using elon musk's voice via AI) that breaks down their mechanics
But to summerize, they have 2 sources of DR
A: 176k total damage per instance (if i have 10 multishot, each pallet will deal 17.6k damage at max
B: you multi layered DPS based adaptive DR that resets after 6 seconds
However, shooting their back weak spot will push your CC to 100% if its below it
@@TierdDoktor6391 thanks, that’s actually really good info
@@Aznvasions
What i provided here is not complete as i am just recalling what i have in my mind rn
Do give that dystopia video a watch for full info
Also, a note that i just got remembered. Weapon coating buffs (mainly xata) are considered their own seperate instance for the 176k hard cap effect.
Meaning with xata active, you effectively have 356k damage cap instead of 176k.
Ty both, that's good info
you forgot to mention torid normal mode does wonder on acolytes
Yup, projectile aoe :)
6:39 3? I only see 2
Stahlta vid???😊
huh that explains why my komorex deletes acolytes
trumna bouncy balls
I still don't get damage attenuation, it makes every enemy a TIMER, that's not difficulty or fun it just makes every weapon the same. Just give them more health and armor, strong weapons should be strong
That's incorrect, stronger weapons will deal more damage than weaker weapons. The disparity just isn't as high as with normal enemies.
If you give them more health and armor, then 95% of the weapon list is useless. Remember what archon 1.0 attenuation felt like? The question is how it’s implemented. 2.0 attenuation on archons is quite fair, and respects weapon investment, while still tightening the gap across weapons moderately. The only thing I’d say is make archons currently as a whole 2-3x more ehp, but I would only want that if the fight was actually interesting. So I’d prefer they remake the fight first to actually be a challenge rather than just annoying attack patterns that just sit there and eat damage.
it makes perfect sense, it’s so bosses can feel like bosses despite warframe’s absurd power creep
@@Aznvasions this are supposed to be endgame enemy's in the end game 99% of the weapons feel the same against this enemy's because its not just the weapons we have warframes like mirage that can buff weapons up to 1000-4000% damage wich are pointless against this, for example for the new tile set boss all you need is a tank and ammo all weapons do the same if they have a decent build
@@Ellyark surviving is the only "challenge" and we have so many ways to be inmortal. I have never felt any difficulty against this enemy's they felt like a timer
STUG is WHAT???
4:45 🤣
So that's why my Cerata and Sporelacer absolutely destroy acolytes....
Hey Azn, can i be your friend :), you have a very nice voice btw.
Gas ogris + napalm + xata = you don't even have time to see where he is spawning and it's dead. Go loot 😄
I just kill them with Ceramic Dagger heavy attack 😂
I oneshot them on kullervo, baruuk
As a kullervo main I totally agree with you no need for heavy attack just one normal hit with my pennant, nikana, hate, tenet exec is enough to kill acolytes
Torrid kills Accolytes quicker in non incarnon mode.
yup, projectile aoe on the blob
Nah man,just use /kill acolyte
Isn't it possible to one-shot an acolyte? It seems that the arca titron is capable of this.
nope
With a non-crit, no
@@Aznvasions Thanks for the detailed information.
Well I dissagree. My dual toxo with a riven melts them.
Or you can have faith in your trusted contagion.. mmmwwwwhahahahah
The way the damage formulas work, why though DE. The fact that you cover so many scenarios makes me mad!
And why are Acolytes harder in Coop?
they scale by party size
They get the cuphead treatment
All bosses scale by party size
