Is Wicked Spoon The BEST BUFFET in VEGAS?

- While many people flock to Vegas every year for its casinos and nightlife, personally I have always been drawn to Vegas more so for its food scene. There are so many great restaurants in Vegas, from Las Vegas celebrity chef restaurants, to local old school Vegas restaurants. However, I have always been the biggest fan of the Las Vegas buffets, and there are three names consistently touted as the best buffets in Vegas: Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan, Bacchanal at Caesar's Palace, and the Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas.
Out of all of the best buffets in Las Vegas, the most consistently praised as the best is Cosmopolitan's Wicked Spoon. Wicked Spoon is the cheapest buffet in Vegas out of all the top 3 buffets, though still not cheap at more than $50 a person. However, many people tout Wicked Spoon as Vegas' best buffet and at least the best value buffet in Vegas.
I went to Vegas once several years ago and I did not eat at Wicked Spoon last time, I ate at Bacchanal at Caesar's Palace. I really enjoyed it, although I thought it was overpriced at the time even at $70, though it's now $85. Is the Wicked Spoon a better experience? Or is it at least a better deal? Let's find out together at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas' Wicked Spoon!

I love UA and his videos, but I can never tell by his initial expressions if he loves or hates the food 😂
If he looks like he’s been stabbed up the colon, he *really* likes it.
@@hoppysport2872Omg 😂 that’s actually so true😂
I showed that to my gf and she thought he hated the food lolll
Totally surprised when he said he liked the food after he squints his eyes so hard like it hurts.
Poker face
As a Vegas native I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone say that Wicked Spoon was better than the Wynn/Bacchanal. Spend the extra couple bucks and go Bacchanal. Much better experience especially because you’re on vacation.
How long have you lived in Vegas? Back in the the deay 1990s or earlier Bellagio was far better than any including Bacchanal. I have not had Wynn in a long time. Bellagio these days is a no go based on my last meal there. The quality that was so amazing is not there. Caesars I think is ok but as with most in Vegas overpriced. Back in the 1990s I got food poisioning in the Stardust. that was a ling flight back to Miami. The worst bufffets I have ever eaten (most were well more than 20 yrs ago) Circus Circus, Excalibur.
@@robertweisberg5570Back in the 1990s the best buffet in all of Vegas was the Rio Carnival buffet by FAR. Today that property should by imploded.
@@robertweisberg5570 1990s or earlier? thats odd since the Bellagio didnt even open its doors til late '98 🤔not sure how you been there earlier than the 90s
@@robertweisberg5570 funny enough the Rio Carnival Buffet was actually amazing back then. Kind of off to think about it every time I drive by the casino. That place is so depressing now.
I don't know if buffets are ever worth... i'd rather spend 40 a person to some local spot. I'm sure there are plenty of those.
Reviewing the complementary coffee. That’s such a UA power move. 😂🙌
At $45 for the buffet, it is not complimentary, it is included in the price.
i can never tell if UA likes the food or not, he makes the same perplexed face, until he talks after the bite.
its mad good
You should watch the video where he reviews the Golden Steer. A server asks if he's in pain or if there's something wrong with the food and he had to explain that he was fine 😆😆
Thanks for the video UA, enjoy Vegas.
Room temp Sushi in a Buffet could be problematic
no it sposed to be room temp. i know. im a buffet chef
Specially in summer
Exactly. “Rice + fish + sugary sauce”, is an automatic breeding ground. 💁🏻♀️
im a buffet chef@@Koji-888
And you would keep it room temp throughout the day?@@RyanCoomer
Absolutely loving your videos, UA! My favorite thing is how you almost look angry when something is really delicious 😂. Keep up the great videos!!!
Once again, great video UA. Have fun in Vegas!
Love this guy. I’m so excited for your success this year
Cheers!
UA another great review . lately the variety of food has been interesting keep up the good work
Thanks for the video! First trip to LV coming up!
I can`t believe you even tried that pizza
I just chuckled, "A bit Mid" .. i reheard it in a classic British voice 😂
Dude was craving pizza
Woah UA vegas series. I'm excited!
Thank you for the content
wonderful commentary, especially at 17:20 when you start describing the beef. Think i might try wicked spoon just for the beef tri-tip
Awesome review and interpretation 💯 🙏
Dope vid..safe travels .. post some more while your out there if you can
Expect 5 more Vegas videos. I will be home soon but I did a filming marathon while out here
That 1st plate was a DISASTER in terms of buffet strategy. Pizza, salad, spring roll, pork buns, sushi, fried chicken? Nooooooooo! Filling up on the cheapest food is so wrong!
Buffet strategy?? Americans are so weird.
I went there MANY years ago. Great to see another new video from you.
How was it?
@@uaeats I really LOVED the omelette station and the desserts. I remember leaving feeling very very unpleasantly full. It followed a night of a big meal so I was still a little full to start with lol. I don't eat shellfish either (keep kosher) so I didn''t pay attention to any of that.
Wicked Spoon buffet only serves breakfast & lunch, good quality, but pricey in a upscale resort. Very popular usually with long lines depending on the travel season, trade shows/conventions.
If you want value and good food, then the Palms Hotel AYCE buffet has it. They serve brunch and dinner on weekends, but weekdays dinner only. Dinner Sat-Tue is $36.99, Wed & Thu unlimited lobster dinner $64.99, Fri snowcrab & prime rib dinner $42.99.
Compared to some of the other prices at Cosmo, Wicked is a bargain. I agree with UA that the food is a mixed bag.
Love this channel
It couldn’t been too bad because UA didn’t go outside afterward to deliver his final verdict😅
Love your videos
I make sure I like all your videos for more content
Wow I appreciate that!
UA, so happy you came to Las Vegas.
Currently the best buffet is only mornings and afternoons.
It's at the M resort. It's $99, but has it all
Racks of Lamb, Lobster Tails, Shucked shell fish, Prime Rib,
It is even better than the Sterling Brunch which I think costs $129.
Great health and happiness to you, UA. You made it man. You get to do what you like and inform/entertain others.
Love this guy!
When I am in Vegas, I will go wicked spoon and Wynn buffet. Thanks!
Great video
UA - I'd be very curious to see if you can do a review at the Golden Steer Steakhouse
Meh, it's ok. Definitely gi, but nothing special. Just went on Thursday
Yep! I ate there and am editing the review
Looking forward to see where else to go
UA... I know you are not a taco expert, but an "al pastor" taco is not carnitas and pineapple... carnitas and al pastor are different cuts and also cooked completely differently. Most authentic al pastor tacos do not have pineapple either (some do, but it's more common in "Americanized" tacos)
Pineapple has been served in al pastor tacos in Mexico for quite some time. It's not a Mexican American thing to my knowledge, but I could be wrong.
Bacchanal at Caesars and Wynn buffet are known for being the best buffets in Vegas.
My favorite buffet was the Studio B Buffet at the M Resort. Unfortunately, it closed during Covid and never reopened.
My new favorite is the buffet at the Wynn. Great selection and quality. Though the wait can be long.
Yeah, they are trying to get rid of buffets in Vegas and replace it with food courts
@@brandoncarpenter9681 Buffets like Bacchanal are ok at best. I wouldn't waste money going to any buffet with all those filthy customers touching the same utensils.
You do great food reviews
Thank you!
Love your videos UE, I love the way you mix the dishes trying to improve the experience!
Canada watching. I'm planning to visit Las Vegas in May and would like to know some of the best restaurants. I just happened on your channel. You're so cute when eating.
Great success on doing You Tube full time !!
"Great success!" (Borat voice). Thank you!
😂😂@@uaeats
25:20 Death by buffet heat lamp 😂 absolute classic comment.
UA would make a great judge on food competitions since there’s almost no way to tell what he’s thinking about the dishes 😅
It's pretty easy to be one of the best buffets in Vegas when there aren't many left.
Great video UA, missed ya live. I'd say the steak cuts always go better with the sauces they usually have available. Also, the bone marrow looked like it sat out way to long. I'm sure trying to commentate doesn't help anything stay nice and hot. Look forward to more Vegas vids!
No worries! Flying back tomorrow so premiere was very short notice. There will be 6 more Vegas vids coming!
@@uaeats safe travels home, always love when a new video pops up in my feed!
The Caesar salad at Wicked Spoon is really good!!
how do i even belong here watching UA's reviews? i like the dominos chocolate lava cakes 🥺
Perhaps taste the food immediately and then comment. I can always see it getting cold. Try some ajus on the steak makes a world of difference
I've only been here once and was severely jet lagged so I don't remember anything except the bone marrow. Glad I can now have the full experience from your review, but seriously I don't remember eating most of this 😂
I guess they discontinued dinner after bringing it back post COVID closure. It was a long time ago, but we had the dinner buffet on a holiday where it was maybe a three hour line to get in. But we had friends who were already in and we were allowed to join them without waiting in line. A server brought us our bill at the table. That was hands down the best buffet I've ever had.
This is hands-down my favorite CZcams channel and please don't stop the ragtime music!
Me too! I like that he’s adjusted the volume but kept it in
I didnt know it was ragtine. It has some sort of quirky rythym that seems to mesgh with his reviews and personality. Its hard to explain but it definitely clicks. Other CZcamsrs who may use repretive theme it seems to get in the way and be too much. Funny you should mention this and I didnt know it was ragtime.
Love the music too. It is UA’s signature now and he should continue it for the life of the channel.
I really love how polite you are. When you thanked the servers you could tell it was sincere. Refreshing in a world filled with negativity.
the BEST buffet in vegas is the new M Resort Anthony's Seafood buffet! $99 but THE BEST!
The wicked spoon is usually busy and is in high demand, the reason your experience was bad is because you chose the wrong items.
The best thing at the Wicked Spoon is the bone marrow. IMO, the 'spoon' portions go cold quickly, if left out. If it's $40, they've reduced the cost. I ate there a year ago, and it was like $60 per person. And every casino will allow videos of their buffets.
Try the Beef wellington for lunch at hell kitchen with the sticky toffee puddding. Lunch price is much more reasonable
Lose the Eagles cap, just an obvious point.....
Two things will never change in this channel, UA wearing an Eagles cap in enemy territories, and UA using the carnival theme for his videos. It’s iconic now 😂
What time is the Philly playoff game this weekend? 😀 (JK)
Starting to really like this channel!
What a rip lol
You cut me deep there... Cut me like surgery
I tend to agree with your reviews and when I was in NY took advantage of Best Coffee and Bagel and Gallaghers for that great lunch special. Vegas buffetts peaked in the 1990s when Bellagio was far the best. It had the best quality, service, etc. The desserts were from the French Chef Jean Phillipe in Vegas as were the breads. Now its a tough call. I was at Wicked Spoon a few years ago. Its ok. Nothing to go wild about, other than most of the other strip buffets are pretty bad, at least the ones still around. I had a comp on the Caesars buffett a few yrs ago. i thought it was ok but definitely overpriced at full price and long lines. However back int he day the Caesars at 50-60% less cost would have been the deal. Before Covid the buffets were somewhat on the way down and replaced with super overpriced gourmet or other hip restaurants. It looked like Covid was the final blow, but a few remain. Caesars invested a ton of miney in theirs, so they didnt want to kill it.
That looks exactly what you get for 40 bucks!
You named the top 3 buffets on the strip. The Bachinnal might be the "best" but it's also the highest priced and a pain to get reservations... not worth the headache IMO. Wicked Spoon is best bang for your buck for sure.
The crab legs are worth the admission. All the other stuff, you can keep.
Skip the buffets ur money will better spend at a restaurant
Try AYCE at the Palms, on Wednesday and Thursday they have all you can eat lobster. Imperial Sushi Seafood buffet is nice too, and no wait
The wicked spoon doesn't have as broad a selection as their elite buffet competitors but most of what they serve tastes damn good! It doesn't have the ambience of the WYNN but some items actually taste better!
Crab legs can be very expensive and contribute to the price. If you are allergic, it will definitely influence your sense of value.
I got an idea for you. When you are back home, do the reviews of the buffet and all you can eat places around here. Tons of good choices
Wow I was just in Vegas last Thursday to Monday. We went to the Wynn buffet and honestly it was only ok. I don’t remember if there was a time limit but eating crab legs takes a long time. The prime rib was good though and we definitely got full but was expecting it to be a little bit bigger with more choices
You went from NJ/NY to Nevada/California??
I can tell you from watching Travel Ruby, Danny the Medic, Vegas with Shin and several other "Vegas" content creators, I can safely say Wicked Spoon is not the best buffet in Vegas. It is one of the better buffets for sure, but it also severely depends on the times you go there like most of the big ones. That being said, even a meh buffet in Vegas, isn't that bad really. :D
You should go to Esther’s kitchen! A local favorite.
What was underrated and long gone was Aria buffet.
When I was in Vegas I had poor man's surf and turf. Shrimp Cocktail and a hot dog.
😂
You should make a tshirt that says "Im UA and this is UA eats."
The roast beef alone is worth the price this price. All you can eat meats is definitely worth $50
Are you going to check out Vegas Eataly? I had one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I ever had there. Along with some fried mushrooms it was delicious
I've already reviewed Eataly in NYC! If you go to my channel page you can find the video
In a buffet setting, I'm glad the sushi isn't room temperature.
that sushi looks like it came out of a seagull
Meet up with Vegas with Shin!
I'm sure UA is already finished in Vegas as it is, and honestly I don't think UA is going to go to a steakhouse with Shin and spend $2500 LOL
That’s a fantastic idea! Would be 2 of my favorite creators for sure
Wicked Spoon is amazing
15:21 very scary that gremolata was misspelled on the buffet sign. 😱
My Fav buffet in Vegas
Viva Las Vegas baby ❤
Wicked Spoon is a good buffet to miss😢
I wonder if going during peak times means better quality food. Seems like a lot of the food you are eating has been sitting a while. Either way, love your reviews.
Timing is super important with any of these buffets. If you go right when they open, right when they switch timings (aka breakfast to lunch or lunch to dinner) things are almost always better. If you go during peak times, you are more likely to get fresher food in general, but also have stuff that will wind up having sat for too long. It's kind of weird how it works, but eh I don't know lol
Agreed. However, if you've been to enough buffets you can tell when something has been sitting out too long. I always avoid those. In this case, I could easily tell the pizza, mac&chees, and bone marrow had been out too long. Better to skip it even if you want to taste it. I hate wasting food.
BTW, you can tell which people are the newbies because they pile it on their first plate.😆
His review is on the mark. Its passable. there are some decent things there. If you dont have to pay much for it, it will be the biggest bargain at COSMO.
I’ve been waiting over a year for UA to say “those are some tender buns”
Roku and Lotus of Siam! get it !!!
I go to Vegas 5-7x per year. My go to top-5 restaurants:
1. Bouchon (Venetian)
2. SW Steakhouse (Wynn)
3. Gordon Ramsey Burger (Planet Hollywood)
4. Bavette's (Park MGM)
5. Best Friend (Park MGM)
Honorable Mention: Milos (Venetian), Momofuku (The Cosmopolitan)
SW Steakhouse is a good restaurant!! I had their hazelnut dessert, and it was amazing. I need to go back.
can't be the best without dinner!
Wicked Spoon was an amazing experience pre-lockdown. Nowadays, it's still good, but not a destination spot for tourists. Just my take though.
Stir up the Mac n cheese!!
wynn would be the one i will return to exceptional service didn't rush us at all
Mahalo for great review... agree wicked spoon not close as the best buffet
Bacchanal is the best. The Wicked Spoon used to be great back in the mid 2010s when my parents first took me to Vegas as a kid. I went back last year and it was meh. The options weren’t as varied as before and the food itself wasn’t that good. The only thing I really liked was the bone marrow and bread. For $40 though I think it’s worth it. The Bacchanal is better but it’s almost double the price.
SHIN HAS CONTROL OF FOOD REVIEWS
Wow, that's the first time I felt bad for someone doing a food review, the food looked cold, like it had sat around too long. The best buffets have a large crowd, and the food is constantly being refreshed. That looked bad, like sadness on a plate, I don't think I would ever eat at the Wicked Spoon after seeing that.
the bao look exactly like the frozen ones i get from hmart great for frozen but i pay 6.99 for a bag of 12
Being Asian and allergic to crab is the cruelest of jokes
When Im in Vegas and hit a buffet, all I want is Prime Rib, King Crab legs, and Lobster.... Amazes me when people get filled up on Fried Chicken, Mash taters, Pizza counter, ect.. I can eat that anyday..... Im gooin in on the treats, and the yum rolls.. Cheesecake/eclair...
For the record, I know you have to eat staples for the video content, and I think seafood is a no go for u, enjoy brotha... B SAFE
dAMN, THAT bONE mARROW LOOKS bangin!!!
And no salad!
Never forget the Ramen 💜
Oops! Shoot I totally forgot about it
Good Morning UA! Hope all is well…congratulations on creating such great videos! You should take a trip to Mexico and do several videos on street food in Mexico City. You’ll be amazed by the wealth of food selections when it comes to street food in Mexico City! Make it a great week!
Nice Review, the food did look pretty mid, glad you got a good slice of tritip and spring roll.
Hello UA, a couple of sugar cubes would've improved that coffee ! Good to see you spreading your wings and going places where the food is ! Thanks for the video.
Closing your eye[s everytime you take a bite, makes you UNWATCHABLE.... TOO DAMn ANOYING
