James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave play warring lovers Benedick and Beatrice in Shakespeare's timeless comedy Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Mark Rylance.
While young lovers Claudio and Hero have their forthcoming nuptials threatened by the resentful scheming of a Prince, marriage seems out of the question for reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick in this witty comedy about the never ending search for perfect love.
James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave, who recently starred in Driving Miss Daisy both in the West End and on Broadway, reunite on The Old Vic stage to play these iconic roles for the first time.
Mark Rylance was Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe for 10 years, during this time he directed and performed in numerous productions. His recent acting credits include Richard III and Twelfth Night (Shakespeare's Globe and West End) and the critically acclaimed Jerusalem.

God it's wonderful to listen to an actor who's studied, and who knows WHAT he's doing but also WHY he's doing it, and can give insights like these using the things he's learned. What a teacher he must be.
Mark Rylance and Anton Lesser both have such soft, beautiful, eloquent voices that I could listen to these two great British actors all day. They were both brilliant in Wolf Hall, I strongly recommend it to anyone that's not yet seen it.
Indeed, also Bridge of Spies and The Outfit
This is a man with no pretences, airs or graces.
Totally down to earth, so he was the ideal choice to play "Maurice Flitcroft", in "The Phantom of the Open".
Playing it strait to great comedic effect with a great supporting cast as his family.
He’s so relaxed. Brilliant actor.
This guy is great!
This guy is going to be the BFG. Awesome! :D
+Hewylewis Is it just me, or does he look almost exactly like the cartoon version? I can't wait to see him in that film.
+Sam Raffield He was absolutely born to play the BFG. So adorable!
+Thea Goulas Couldn't agree more. He's going to make the film.
I love Mark rylance this man is and will always be a genius
More, please.
great actor!
He voices fFlop from the childrens tv series, Bing♥
Genius . Think he takes splif too . Top man. His i.q. through the roof .
Clear as mud Suit Peter Isherwell👍
A question about acting unfolds with pathos and humor into an erudite prose poem on language, manner vs matter, and the meaning of life. Excellent, and thank you for sharing. I'm guessing very little work would be needed to translate this conversation into a self-sufficient work of art, sort of in the style of My Dinner with Andre.
+Randy Huther Please. Must you liken this enlightening, stimulating conversation to that over-discussed sleeping pill My Dinner with Andre? Such a reduction of content does a great disservice to the eloquence and insight of Mr. Rylance.
+TheChannel.TV - Well met, sirrah! I'd be happy to read/watch/listen to your artistic work, which must be refined stuff indeed, seeing as you spit out My Dinner with Andre like so much boxed wine. In lieu of that, any essays or critiques you've written proving that the film is artistic snake oil would also suffice. Until then, be well, sirrah.
This guy would make a great Magneto is they ever rebooted the X-men franchise
He’s just like Halliday in real life
Man I had to Google him to see if he was cause the character was so unique and it's simply a version of him
I can only hear Flop from Bing, my 1 year old son's favourite TV programme

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wow! He spoke a whole lot about movement 😑
I refuse to take seriously anyone who wears a baseball cap indoors. Mind you he is a good actor he can speak bollocks and make it sound plausible.
Think your missing the point m8 . Do you judge a man by his clothes . He was talking bollocks as an example . I would say to you sir ......BALLS
Mark's dress sense is more or less absent. So was Beethoven's. I suppose you do not take HIS music seriously? I suggest you are finding feeble excuses for rejecting what is outside your intellectual comfort zone.
No one cares abt ur opinion
Patrick Laws …Incisive intelligent comment
Thankyou so much
