Probably Europe's greenest capital.
True, although there is a large section of South-East Berlin which is just forest with few buildings, and a most of this route runs through that part. So it's not really typical Berlin.
@@jonathanp896 And in South-West Berlin there is such a part, too, but it's not this route, it's the S7.
It's like Atlanta in the US where I live, that's a good thing, but it's alot hillier and the forest is way more dense👌🏾

Ich bin 87er Jahrgang und Potsdamer. Dank meiner lieben Großeltern sind wir in den 90er Jahren eigentlich immer mit der Berliner S-Bahn gefahren. Noch heute habe ich Erinnerungen an die Baustellen (insbesondere die Stadtbahn). Aber eindringlicher sind mir die galanten alten Bahnen. Der Stadtbahner, die Peenemünder. Ich dufte die alle als kleiner junge erleben. Ich bin aber auch neugierig. Die Taucherbrille 481 ist in mein Herz gewachsen. Und nun das neue schöne Stück. Ich habe sie noch nicht erlebt. Ich habe es vor.
Being a train driver myself, these cab ride videos are fascinating, but I bet a driver working over this route for a couple of years would soon get sick of it.
We service about 12 lines and drive every day a different line/route. Sometimes we work 2 days on the same route. And each shift beginns and ends with other specials so it is not boring. They are more or less boring Routes but everyone will finde something good for him.
Wow, great Video. I love our new trains, especially the sound and the announcements. I Just dislike the door opening and closing sounds, they're extremly annoying after some time. And you got all the model variants of S-Bahn trains.
firstly the train is consisted of a class 483 and 484.
At the beginning in BER-Terminal 1-2, there is an "old" class 481.
At 5:40 there is a modernized class 481.
In Adlershof you encountered a class 485 and at Hermannstraße a class 480, my favourite of the older trains.
Although I don't Know much about Thema, I'm pretty sure it's not a Ferkeltaxe, but a Schienenbus (the west-german pendant).

great video ! - but Siemens technician: where is the annoucment of "last stop" short before Südkreuz (in german at 36:38 "diese Zugfahrt endet dort").Or more polite in old BR 418: "attention please, we are now approaching the last stop of the line, all passengers are requested to leave the train"

I had no idea the new airport station was so far away from the old station (terminal 5).
It just takes a big curve
S-Bahn isn't taking a direct route. It initially travels west out of the airport and joins the main line at Waßmannsdorf. Then travels north to reach the entrance of Terminal 5.
I had no idea that Berlin Airport had two stations. First time I went I arrived and departed from Terminal 5, the outside station. Last time was the underground station so I was very confused!

when did the 483 start running on the S45?
It was only for a limited time due to construction work on the Ostring (12th-28th October), but due to good feedback the 483/84 will be returning onto the S45 full time from the December timetable change onwards..

Mit was für einer Kamera filmst du? Die Qualität ist ausgesprochen gut.
Den Weitwinkel zur urteilen und der Spiegelung der Kamera im Tunnel an der Scheibe, denke ich das für diese Aufnahmen eine GoPro Hero verwendet wurde. Welche genau, keine Ahnung aber auf Grund der Qualität würde ich auf einer der aktuellsten tippen.

Terminal 5 ist das ehemalige Terminal vom Flughafen Schönefeld. Es wird seid Corona nicht mehr genutzt.

@@moritzgiebel5513 weil man den Bogen in der Unterführung schlecht einsehen kann (falls Personal auf der Strecke ist) :-)
@@oliverwestphal3082 Aber es muss doch, wenn Personal auf einer aktiven Strecke ist, einen Rottenwarner oder eine Rottenwarnanlage geben, der dann diese Aufgabe übernehmen würde
@@darksoundzz bei einem normalen Streckenbegang ist auch ein Sipo mit bei, aber es geht um die Sichtweiten und Annäherungsstrecken.
das türwarnsignal geht garnicht
Find ich genauso, 1. Das Türwarnsignal klingt langweilig und nicht original, 2. Die Ansagen sind komisch vormoliert, 3. Die Ansage sind auf Englisch und sind verzögert.
Das Türwarnsignal ist glaube ich inzwischen standardisiert in Europa
Die alte Zugserie war besser. Das sound sich schlecht an. Auch das Türschließsignal hat nichts mit Berlin zu tun.
