    The Alienware M16 is a well built gaming laptop that fumbles the bag. Like me, who forgot to fix the audio and make it stereo. Sorry.

    Mentioning support assist stutter earned my sub. No other reviews mentioned this.

    • @CreatorsTable
      @CreatorsTable  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I’m going to be charitable and assume it’s because the majority of people who review these are numb to the majority of laptops having some sort of issues that they just consider to be part of the experience. That’s what it feels like, because the experience for the average user is wildly different.

    Hey man, I super appreciate this info. I just ordered one of these on sale and will probably just cancel my order. I have the chance to get a Helios predator with the same specs but only 16g of RAM(can just add more), or a Lenovo legion pro with 32g of RAM.
    Do you think either of these is a better idea than the Alienware? I know in your video you said predator was fine but what about the Lenovo?

      Predator is great. There’s some good deals for the 16GB 4080 model. Lenovo is great too. I think Lenovo wins for software and build quality but you can’t go wrong with either.

      1. Screen is just barely bright enough
      2. Has lots of garbage programs (bloatware) that slow down the laptop and is a pain to remove.
      3. Speakers aren't that good.

    I have never purchased a gaming laptop before. I found an Alienware m16 on sale for $1399 (originally $1999). It’s has an i7 13700HX, RTX 4070, 16GB DDR5, 1tb ssd and a 165hz QHD display. It also does have the per key rgb mentioned earlier in the video.
    Would you consider this a good deal? I would remove the dell support assist application you mentioned. I need a laptop that can do everything such as gaming (I don’t do heavy gaming), taking to college, and other normal use. I cannot afford a $2k+ razer blade unfortunately.

    • @kylereed8415
      @kylereed8415 Před 7 měsíci +1

      Also, i would only take it around with me to college. Otherwise it stays home. And yes I understand the power brick itself weighs 2lbs

    • @CreatorsTable
      @CreatorsTable  Před 7 měsíci

      That’s a fair price for sure. As you mentioned, it’s definitely not the ideal notebook to bring with you to school. It’s heavy and just not very portability focused. If you can find a bit extra budget, consider a Zephyrus M16 with 4070. It’s smaller, has better battery life and a much nicer screen. But if you love the Alienware, $1400 is the most I’d pay.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos on this and I see both negative and positive reviews but these are coming from people who don’t really consider the average buyer and who have a crazy speced out desktop pc. what’s your stance on it?

    This dude is whispering so his boss doesn't catch him making a video about peespeez while on the clock. Also the Alienware laptops that use Ryzen cpu's are shit and frequently blue screen, every single one of them. This isn't AMD's fault, it's Dell's.

  • @ricardotrut

    What a nightmare I'm having with this laptop. I recently purchased the AMD M16, and the performance drop I'm experiencing turns this supposedly powerful machine into nothing more than a piece of trash. Within just 10 minutes of playing, the CPU plummets from 5GHz to a mere 1.5GHz and remains stuck there. It's incredibly frustrating to have spent a significant amount of money on a device that delivers such poor performance.

    I bought an Alienware M16 amd / 4070, before I saw this review, and it does seem to suffer from basic, but disturbing issues. It does blue screen much more often then my desktop did. I struggle to get Sleep mode to function properly, sometimes having to tell my computer more than once to go into sleep mode before it actually does. I have come back hours later to find my laptop did not go into sleep mode and was very hot. Lastly, the sound quality is horrible. I thought I was buying an Alienware, top quality gaming laptop... but no, the speakers and sound quality are awful. I hear way to much crackling, distortion and/or stuttering with zero depth. I guess it's not only me since it was mentioned in this review. I wish I would have known this fact before my purchase. I purposely bought a laptop after moving, in order to save space because I would have a smaller desk. I was hoping to avoid getting external speakers or having to always use headphones. If somebody could let me know if there is anything I can do to make the built-in speakers work better, please. Otherwise, I would not recommend this laptop to anyone.
