  • Jon Webster’s epic front brakes kit!
    A great diy upgrade for all C5 enthusiasts.
    This is the best mod anyone can do on a C5 they plan to use. You can refit the front wheel cover, but you do need to cut part of the cover to clear the caliper.
    Or leave off the cover and admire the disc brake! It’s all reversible, but you won’t swap back once you use a disc brake .
    Jon can be found on the Sinclair C5 Owners Facebook group. He also makes a rear kit.

      It really is a great upgrade. The best upgrade for sure! So don’t over tighten the bolts, just snugged up so the disc remains flat/not curved in.
      Good luck!

    My calliper fouls on the rim a bit and is it right that only half the pad grips the disc (I’ve removed all the spacers to bring it down as low as I can

      Hey, per our chat - Jon sent the wrong caliper bracket out. It has to be the “F160/R140” one, as that sits 5/6mm lower on the disc and will not foul the wheel rim.

    How do I know where to drill through the wheels

    • @griceyboy
      @griceyboy  Před 2 lety

      Hey,
      When you put the disc on and look though the bolt holes, you’ll see that you need to drill every Other spoke(gap) , so all 6 bolts fit (I think it’s 6).
      I’m at work today , but if you need help, ask on the Facebook group Sinclair C5 Owners and we can add photos :£
