This performance is from 2015, when lead vocalist Su-metal was 17, and backing vocalists and dancers Yuimetal and Moametal were 15. The song you previously watched, Akatsuki, is one of four songs that Su sings solo without Yui and Moa; they also have songs that they sing without Su. This trio format is their normal configuration for 90% of their songs.
Yuimetal left Babymetal in 2018 due to illness, and for the past few years, a backing dancer, known as an 'Avenger', has filled in dancing in Yui's old spot. At the recent Black Night/Clear Night concerts in Yokohama on the 1st and 2nd of April, Avenger Momoko was elevated to become Momometal, making Babymetal a full trio again for the first time in five years. Needless to say, this has been a long time coming, and The One are absolutely ecstatic that the trio is complete once more.
Despite their innocent looks, Babymetal has some of the wildest mosh pits in metal. Circle pits and walls of death (and even the occasional rowing pit) are a regular feature of a live Babymetal show.
I'm representing the kitsune of Australia.

I'd try " RONDO OF NIGHTMARE " next perhaps - it will show you just what great musicians the Kami Band are .
BTW Babymetal have just announced 3 tour dates in the UK in November ( 2 in London and 1 in Wolverhampton )

Since "Akatsuki" is a solo from Su-metal (the lead vocalist) now you just got the full BABYMETAL experience with the three ladies the choreo, etc. Well done!
This was the final encore to an epic concert called "New Year Fox Festival - Legend 2015" held at Saitama Super Arena in January 2015. And luckily for us this is an actual live video (with live sound). They only cut out the major part of the extended outro (the "We are? BABYMETAL" part)
That moment when they walked through the bridge was so special for them as Su-metal explained years later. She said that was one of her favorite moments on stage. She also made this song her personal anthem. You can tell she was on fire, specially during the second half of the song, by her expressions. Not to mention the moment she verbalized it by shouting: "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!").
    Greetings from Barcelona, Catalonia.

Babymetal actually started out as a side project for an idol group called Sakura Gakuin (which is kind of a imaginary girls Middle School in Japan complete with their own tv show). The choreo is what they would do there - Babymetal was actually the "Heavy Music" club (all schools have clubs) and it became so successful that they went from releasing a few numbers on DVDs (which the fans at Sakura Gakuin concerts would receive) to live performances of their own. Btw , when they started the band was actually guys in skeleton costumes (called Baby Bones) that faked playing, but when they began to tour live the organizer went out and found the best heavy metal musicians available in Japan. Oh yeah - this number was written by members of DragonForce, a well known British heavy metal band.

When you're talking about the energy of their performance. This is at the end of a long set (as the ending with the "We are..." and "See you" implies). This is the sort of energy that they display throughout, it's almost relentless musically and performance wise. There would be the occasional "break" for them with either Su-Metal getting a solo like Akatsuki or the other two taking over as "Black Babymetal" and doing a song - Yui-metal left which would leave Moa-metal alone but they would use supporting performers to give her support and recently one of the supporting "Avengers" Momoko joined the group permanently becoming Momometal - Those breaks though probably didn't offer a huge breather as they'd still be going crazy. They really are an incredible live act and if you're enjoying what you've heard so far and get the chance I'd highly recommend trying to see them. By amazing coincidence they're back in the UK in November after just being here supporting Swedish band Sabaton!

Su's great singing. The kawaii smiles of Yui and Moa even while doing speed dancing. The amazing crowd participation and wherever they go those mosh'sh pits follow. Great reaction.. I have some song recommendations for you!
Other than the solo songs that the singer has, there’s also songs for the 2 dancers without the singer (Sis Anger, Onedari Daisakusen, GJ!, and Song 4)
I recommend checking one song from each era:
Headbanger- old school, they were very young
YAVA- from a few years later, they are a bit older here
Arkadia- from a couple of years later. masterpiece of a song
Monochrome- a song from the album that Babymetal released last month
Live performances are the requirement with Babymetal, if you haven’t figured that out yet 😅
There’s a massive catalog of songs to dive into, you just have to pick one of them.
If I can choose only one song for you to react to, I would say Arkadia.
Demonstrates the shear talent of the girls, and the band behind them. Incredible stuff.
    Here’s a small list of some more songs to check out;
    Karate

    Starlight
    Shine
    Light and Darkness
    Rondo of Nightmare
    Amore

One time I saw them was at Brixton Academy in London in 2014, they released a live bluray of the concert and there was about 2,000 people there and it was amazing, the other time I saw them was at Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, also in 2014, and there were 60+ thousand people there. I caught them live a third time at the Genting Arena in Birmingham in 2016 and that had 15,000 people in the crowd.
Doesn't matter the venue, the size of the crowd, indoors, outdoors, anything, they are absolutely amazing live.

Here we get Babymetal at their dynamic best with energy off the charts and the Kami band at the height of their power. Akatsuki is a "Su solo" and you will have seen the "middle one", who is the lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto. The Su solos gave Yui and Moa a chance to rest and then Yui and Moa would return the favor when they performed as a duo in Black Babymetal. These options allowed BM to do some pretty awesome shows.
This performance is the one that truly sold me on Babymetal. I'd already seen Gimme Chocolate and Megitsune and had replayed those videos many times, but I wasn't yet a fan. The emotional ride on the Road of Resistance was my Babymetal Road to Damascus moment. By the end I was an emotional wreck. They took me from one peak to the next and it shows the talent and professionalism of the whole Babymetal team. I realized that BM wasn't a gimmick or even just heavy metal but a cross between metal/J-pop and a Broadway show carefully choreographed to manipulate your emotions in the best possible way. Su, Moa and Yui are able to control tens of thousands of people in the audience, which never fails to leave me astounded given their young age, but all the years in Sakura Gakuin, rehearsals and touring makes it seem effortless even as we worry if they can pull it off.
The song is about fighting against the odds and never giving up and talks about beacon fires which brings to my mind the resistance of Japan against the Mongol invasions. It has a strong DragonForce feel because Li and Totman from that band collaborated on it and played it on the album. There are many places that amaze in this performance including Hideki Ayoma's drumming or the guitar solos, but I really get the chills right after the crowd "wows" finish and there is the fast guitar riff and the girls' dance break end up with them standing strongly outlined by the stage lighting. For me that's where the music, choreography, staging and emotion all come together perfectly.
Crowd is a critical component in many Japanese band performances and they will have moments when they sing and even have choreographed movements. This is definitely the case for Babymetal and a big part of Yui's and Moa's job is to lead and encourage the crowd. You can see more of this participation in "Headbanger". So to see that, and for something fun, check out "Headbanger - Legend 1997".

3:48 _Now Pizza Time (Pizza Time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕
I'm glad to see you're back with this suggestion and getting some attention despite the new official MV released hours ago, this one is one year after the one you saw at Budokan 2014. Last month they released the new album and although there's a lot of great songs there, this is one of those major hits they don't wanna left behind in any of their setlist like recently at Sabaton's Europe Tour finishing all concerts with this epic anthem.
Don't worry about the lyrics, just like SuMetal (and Bruce Lee) said: "Don't think, feel."
_Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, and is all about facing your own path without looking back.
The wall of death is insane just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride, either way be careful because in some of their latest concerts in Japan people lost towels, snickers, tickets and even their smartphones. 👀
This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment.
With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages.
The Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians who were send to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists), all of them are males.
BM fans love some members of this band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you heard album tracks remember they aren't playing there.
    In this case they are:
    - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs.
    - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments.
    - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP.
    - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father was famous in Japanese music scene.
At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too.
    My next suggestion:
    - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997 held in 2013, you can find a clip safe to react at Gans Tomas channel under Head Bangya title, also "abr metal" got this.
They finished the UK leg for the Sabaton's Europe Tour and today is Paris turn, pretty sure this song will be play there too, and get ready for more because BM announced they will come back to Europe in November with a headlining shows.
Thanks for sharing this and hopefully this won't be blocked
See you next time and kitsune up! 🦊🤘🔥

And if you are planning to do more, then I guess you have a new subscriber!
This band over the past 13 years has made 4 studio Albums, (though they have many live albums and a best of 10 years album) each album has its theme so you could start with videos from the first album and work your way up or you could skim a little from each album, it is all good.
Akatsuki was from the 1st self-titled album, this song was from the 2nd Album Metal Resistance, and from the 3rd album Metal Galaxy I recommend Pa Pa Ya!! From their most recent album The Other One I recommend Mirror Mirror.
Though if you are going to start from the very beginning, then start with Doki Doki Morning, then Headbangerrr, Iine, and of course, Megitsune is an absolute must either way.

This concert was in 2015 so the girls were between 15 and 17, Su was 17 and Yui/Moa was 15 years old. Yui left the group in 2018 due to health issues, so since then Su and Moa have stayed as a duo. Since 2019 there was a trio of backup dancers called "Avengers" (None of them sang, they just danced) who took Yui's place in dances but 2 of them stopped dancing with BM to focus on their own careers. In April 2023 Momoko (one of the Avengers) was officially announced as the 3rd member of BABYMETAL and is called MOMOMETAL. I would recommend many songs to react to because BABYMETAL has very good songs but I recommend:
    Arkadia

Karate (Like UK Download 2016 because the public participation there was great)

Hello, I'm representing the Kitsune of Canada. So as Darkly Tranquil pointed out already the group is made up of Su-Metal (the main vocalist with a killer death glare), Moametal, and Yuimetal. Yui and Moa main do the dancing and backup vocals, they both sport pigtails during concerts. If you have trouble distinguishing the two apart, Moametal has the huge dimples in her cheeks when she smiles and Yuimetal has the huge chubby baby cheeks which she is very proud of because she knows how cute the cheeks are. Also, Yui's hair tends to be a bit more curly I think as her pigtails tend to stick out more than Moa's. Su-Metal has her hair done in a Ponytail and will almost always have the hand held mic. Yui and Moa have ear-mics that allow them to have their hands free. In 2018 Yui officially left the band due to medical reasons, and so Babymetal introduced what they called the Avengers to fill in for Yui in dance to help Moa out a little, but the Avengers did not do any vocals. Just very recently (beginning of April), Babymetal announced a new member finally to replace the spot that Yui left. That new member is named Momometal. She doesn't really look like Moa or Su, so it is now easier to tell all the members apart. Momo is also the youngest member now. That being said, when you're doing reactions, you'll know you're seeing an avenger by their hairstyle. Main vocalist has ponytail, backup singer and dancer has pigtails, and then avenger has neither. They have their hair down and will have buns where there would have been pigtails. Momometal was, at one point, an avenger, but how now been promoted to an actual Babymetal member, and as such now has had her hair style upgraded to pigtails lol.
Anyhow, great reaction, looking forward to more reactions. I'm thinking your next reaction that will be recommended will be headbanger, although I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing your reaction to Babymetal Death, and Akatsuki unfinished. I know you've already reacted to Akatsuki, but there is the unfinished version which has a TOTALLY different feel to it.

Do you think this choreography looks exhausting and very energetic? You haven't seen Pa Pa Ya!!
It might not be an epic song, but a very fun one. The choreo is basically a hard cardio workout. They're moving, jumping and doing broad movements nonstop.
It will never cease to amaze how they're able to keep singing, Su specially. Her lung capacity must be crazy.
For Pa Pa Ya I recommend watching their official music video since (IMO) it's very well put together, but the audio is NOT live (they replaced it with the studio track). You can also checkout a live performance, there are plenty on CZcams!
They have covered all metal genres, and their sound varies from fun, epic, kawaii, dark, melancholic, hopeful, anthem, you get the idea.
You seem to really enjoy their "epic energetic" stuff so I'd HIGHLY recommend Megitsune Live Budokan 2021 (with subtitles).
