Victor Borge once determined that our spoken word lacked the clarity of written prose, and suggested this remedy to help us get our message across verbally.
I was ‘introduced’ to the comical genius and musical talents of Victor Borge by Revered Ed and his wife Marion Bradley when they invited me to share Thanksgiving with their family and the had the VHS set and let me borrow it. Thank you Ed and Marion, and may you all rest in peace
I first learned of him and this routine when he performed it on a children's television show - either Sesame Street or The Electric Company, can't remember which - back in the 1970s. I wondered who was this mad genius who illuminated the importance of proper punctuation with such comicality. It's now almost half a century later, and I still think about it. Well played, Mr. Borge, well played.
And now, whilst you're in the mood - dash off with your dearest one to the bedroom, for some adult quality time! Sure she will exclaim: "Oh, wouldn't that be lovely?!" Or, ... !?", if you're left-handed.
No matter what this man does, his wit and presentation are always outstanding.Clean, but hilarious.
Yes Amen ❤️
This man was an absolute genius. He was a rare soul.
He never once used profanity. A real talent he was.
This belongs in the "Hall of Fame of Comic Routines."

Don't you mean, "thank you five this"? hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He’s great!
You certainly couldn't wear mascara and not leave one of his brilliant performances without half of it down your cheeks 😂😂😂.
This was one segment out of a one hour special. After this applause began a Segway into the next segment.
He rode a Segway into the next bit?
@@tommyt1971 Underrated comment.
It's spelled segue - from Spanish.
@@pauljordan4452 It's Italian, not Spanish. I'm sure the word is used in Spanish sometimes, but it's borrowed from Italian.
a pun on segue, the segway is an electric scooter
I so remember, laughably funny!
Absolute genius!
He's even funny off the piano bench!
he is brilliant
May the world never stop smiling or laughing.
Dr Christopher is the new Victor Borge. (Wholistic dr.)

Anyone know the title of the book he read from?
But he didn't.
