  • Chris Appleby stayed at home with his friends on the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas when Hurricane Dorian hit as a Category 5 storm -- a storm his home was built to withstand. Appleby spoke to First Coast Living's Curtis Dvorak about how terrifying riding out the storm was and the "mass chaos it left behind."

    I actually never thought of being alone in this storm, sure you have your animals but no other people, thank goodness he found them, We are beside ourselves here in Florida, worst I've ever seen in my lifetime

    What has happened in the Bahamas has the proverbial jaw of the world on the floor. If we didn't serve God before, I bet more and more of us do now. Wow...

      Kalissha Knighton can you imagine the spirit of these looters!! God be with them on judgement day! They were saved after the earthquake in Haiti and sent to the Bahamas for refuge and now they are biting off the hand that fed them...Father intervene with your Glory and Grace ✝️🙏🏻

    • @SAPHYTYRA
      @SAPHYTYRA Před 4 lety +2

      @@Proverbs--tx6yr I can imagine the looters were desperate for survival. They went about getting help the wrong way but so many people who appear good are going about life in a way not prescribed by God. Sunday worship for example. Pray for them all because they face as much judgement as the looters.

    Paradise is not here on earth ....do not love the world nor the things in the world for if any one love this world the love of the father is not in them....

    I'm praying for these people to eventually have some normalcy, however to kill over food , batteries, etc will put those folks back in a worst position, just because things look bad you have to trust Jesus we have too or you wont make it , To God be the glory if they didnt know God before I pray they trust him now , so sad to kill over nothing, smh

      @Shirley Andrade almost understandable tho.....sadly. desperate people do desperate things. Especially a lack of water. I can't even imagine.

      In the description for this video it says his home was built to withstand hurricanes.

    • @michellem7300

      It says his house was built to withstand a hurricane but he probably didnt think the storm would be that strong

      The same reason alot of us didn't evacuate .
      Its our home , we built to withstand a hurricane , and we wanted to protect whats ours .
      I just was taken off guard by how local and foreign militaries ignored the looting and took weeks before they setup food distribution in town .
