- Tonight’s guest, Matthew Maxcy, had his first Bigfoot sighting in January of 2000. At the time, he was driving back home, from Tennessee to Maine, to visit with his family. He had a friend of his, Andy, in the car with him. There had been a heavy snow in Maine, so the trees and landscape were blanketed with snow. Due to all of the snow on the pine trees that bordered the road they were on, from time to time, they’d see clumps of snow slough off branches here and there. As they were coming over a bridge, entering Maine, Matt noticed movement ahead, on the side of the road. At first, he thought the movement was due to snow sloughing off the bows of another pine tree. As they drew closer, Matt realized that while he had seen snow falling off of a tree, it had been knocked off and he couldn’t believe what had done that.

Matt, that is crazy. I live in the southern part of the state. I head up north quite often, I have never seen anything like that but can almost picture where you were at on the highway because of your description. Sorry this has ruined your love of the woods and changed your whole outlook on our states biggest recreation.
It never fails to surprise me how people say they are laughed at when reporting such encounters. It’s terrible that we have so little respect for each other.

I'm thinking the same thing.
My one suspected experience was during the evacuation period of the 2020 Oregon wildfires.
I wouldn't be surprised if there ends up being a lot of people coming forward with personal accounts to tell over the next few years due to the fires that have occured this year.
Due to the progressive environmental warming & drying causing warm-season wildfires to become bigger & more numerous, more often, I wouldn't be surprised if their displacement becomes so bad that the governments may eventually be forced into some kind of disclosure because the sightings may become MUCH more common.

When there were fires happening on California last year, quite a few of them traveled to that location. Reason... To help bring other clans to safety. 👣👣👣

Wow! Thanks for sharing your incidents with the sasquatch Matthew! I cannot imagine. It makes me wonder just how close people are near these things unawares. I havent had a sighting myself but even so, I don't look at the woods the same anymore. Or even night time either..
Thank you and I I'll say this ,these things can be /are in some people's back 40 right in their wooded backyards and they don't even have the faintest of idea and that's a scary thought..
My experience… Was approximately 35 ft. away and I had no idea. They can get very close

Bro, AMAZING encounter!!! I don't get how people can't believe in this? ESPECIALLY when someone they know personally tells them and on top if it, you see a lifestyle change in that person 🤯. I mean good god, to go from a guy who 'lived' in the woods to no longer wanting to do that.....I'll never understand how your friends and family couldn't believe you. Crazy! Thank you and I agree,it's disheartening when others don't believe or make light of it, but now alot more is being put out on them and a lot of people coming forwards with their own experiences is really bringing merit and solidarity to the topic and that's been a major help to bring out others who were to shy or afraid of ridicule to come forward with it, and it ranges from a wide variety of people we hear from now whether kids to drs to police or judges just all walks of life and so forth these days..
It's actually ridiculous that so many would have such a hard time believing in large primates living in the vast wilds.

Wow thank you Matthew so much for relating your encounters. Your description of the Sasquatch was awesome. I’m sorry you needed to give up your outdoor life for a time. That was so sad to hear. Your poor nephew, I hope he’s been able to recover. How sad others make fun and tease those who tell of their encounters. I’m so relieved you are able to help support others and allow them to tell of their nightmare encounters. Good for you . Take special care and be safe .
Thank you, and he has , he doesn't like to talk about it but he still has kept up with his outdoors life and hunting and I've gotta say I'm proud of him for that because even with all my yrs as an adult when it happened to myself I had such PTSD I couldn't bring myself to even really look at the woods and think of going in, but he pushed through it and i think that helped him keep up with it, he's just a lot more cautious knowing what's roaming around other than just us humans

My daughter was just camping in Waterford Maine 2 weeks ago. That’s crazy you driving that car in New England winters.
I had been living in Tenn at that time but I drive a truck these days as yes the weather here can be extreme.

Great story Matt, I've been studying the paranormal for over 50 years. I saw a black panther in 1960 run right in front of the school bus I was riding in Sarasota County. Loved how you explained how immense it was, that's insane lol
Thank you, and yes I don't think even with my details people can truly understand how massive this creature was and the strength/power it displayed , it truly truly was just otherworldly is all I can say.
They don't have to worry about grizzly bears. Probably prey on bears if hungry.

Matthew what amazing experiences! I never seen dogman or bigfoot but I had a up CLOSE experience with Gray Aliens! There are many many unexplained things in our world. Thanks for sharing and try not to go in the woods in case your luck runs out. We don't know what they are capable of.
I'm live fairly close to Toronto Canada but spent lots of time in the country growing up and I do know what horse and black flies are. They are nasty! Bite chunks out. Peace to you !

I’m sorry that you were not able to continue with your outdoor activities but you have to remember that they have always been there, you hadn’t encountered them before, it doesn’t sound like he was aggressive towards you, it seems that they just want to be left alone. If that first encounter changed your life, I think an encounter with a Dogman would have been worse. Most people would take a Sasquatch encounter over a Dogman any day of the week. Be safe out there.

I had a buddy call me lastnight to come down to his property in the woods and watch the full moon come up ..i never did go .. later on he sends me a message telling me im missing out because he has ben hearing tree knocks … i wished i would have went but i was going on my 3rd day with no sleep .
Portland Maine has a small Bigfoot musium....it is close to the water....small admission fee...lots of. Cool things to buy.
Very interesting and compelling account! Especially to hear him talk about not being able to hunt and do what he loved to do. That's no run of the mill, normal situation. I hope he knows it's not out to hurt him though.

Finally someone who gets the weight right. Gorillas are between 400 and 500 pounds and 5 ft - tall and pure muscle. When ppl say it was 7ft tall and 300 - 400 pounds, I just laugh. I heard last week 1foot = 100 pounds on these things and that sounds right bcuz muscle weights more. How scary, thx

Dont know if yous said how tall that bigfoot you saw when it walked out the trees. Could you tell us? Also would live to see a pic of the arm and hand cast with the hairs.
It was every bit of 9ft if not 10 ft tall.
Great desciptions, all very well said,so that I could imagine rhat clrarly. Ivhave heard if you want cast a soft ground like sand or even snow, spray it first with a hair spray that should help.

I agree with you , and yes oddly my life has been one of adventure and oddities for sure, and I will be possibly sharing some with Vic here in the near future ...But without a doubt i feel some of us oddly as it may be are born into a life that has many" events" take place that are unexplainable as if we are like a walking antenna for it..
Sounds like a Gugwe or dogman. I personally think they are the same creature. Befriend your local sasquatches they will protect you

I said the same thing is that it looked like a man from thousands of years ago and it was something that I shouldn’t be seeing and the one I saw had that pasty grey skin with pink freckles red haired too and mine was in Alabama and dude you’re describing it too a T. Mine was short though and mine was a male too. Dude thank you for sharing this it absolutely validates my encounter also they can run on all fours and belly crawl really good. So look up and down not just directly in front of you. It took all my hobbies from me just like yourself i only fish now but I’m thinking about hunting again. I try and rationalize by saying to myself what’s the chances of seeing him or another one again. I’ve seen him again but that’s where I am at right now. I just want to be able to coexist with them

Yes I've heard in recent times, and oddly my life since childhood has been a rollercoaster of off happenings and events, and I truly believe some of us are more prone and are like antennas for this stuff

I’d like to ask about a snout and ears on it since you said it had pads on its feet. Bigfoot usually doesn’t have pads but bare feet like ours, Dog men have pads.
It had no snout couldn't see any ears and the soles of the feet looked the same color and looked thick like the padded feet of a bear or dog in color and texture I can tell you they certainly do
