Terraforming Colony - 'Hadley's Hope' - LV-426 (4 hour Dark Ambient)

- It's Alien Day today 26/4 and I wanted to do something special to mark the occasion, so it seems the perfect time to release a 4 hour meditative dark ambient piece for you all. This piece is inspired by my love for the movies, Alien and Aliens and upcoming new movie Alien: Romulus.
Hadley's Hope was a human terraforming, research and mining colony that was established on LV-426 in 2157. The settlement was co-financed by the Extrasolar Colonization Administration and the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and by 2179 maintained a constant population of 158 colonists. It was subject to a major Xenomorph infestation that ultimately all but destroyed the complex.

This is dark, wonderfully orchestrated, with something sinister just waiting for the right time. Makes me want to jump on the first ship back to Cadwell’s Reach, or warp to someplace safer, like Beyond the Gates of Kunlun back on Earth.
Im sitting in a foreign country, all alone, eating breakfast while the sun comes up after a sleepless night of existential dread and despair. This sound gives me the first moments of emotional calm after multiple days of pain. Thank you for that.

This is really, really good. Perfect mix of Aliens and Blade Runner ambience. At least I think I detect Blade Runner in there too. Maybe just my imagination. In any case, I love this.
It might be the slow pitching sine wave that comes in sometimes, it was used in Alien (sound of the infirmary) and iirc it was also used quite a bit in Deckard's Apartment. It's a wonderful and weird sound, and I always liked that both Ridley Scott's movies used it. It somewhat connects the technology of the two movies and puts them into one universe, perhaps.

Great sound. Perfect idea based on a film. I like it. What if make the set more diverse? Can it be used to narrate throughout the entire film? Of course, it won't be possible to cover everything, as there are many action scenes in it. But we can work on specific locations, some atmospheric parts of the film. I like the idea of inserting speech samples from the movie actors, we can diversify and insert some iconic samples from the environment used in the film that characterize a particular scene, for example.
