You say "street fighting skills", but realistically isshin has subtley been teaching Ichigo hakuda his whole life. By randomly attacking him with flying kicks and random punches (or so it seemed to Ichigo) he was secretly building his reflexes and defenses, as well as forcing him to develop counters.

@@pinacolottacum1877 I mean, it makes perfect sense when you think about it. Isshin knows that ichigo can see souls. He knows ichigo has a lot of spiritual energy. He knows a hollow already tried to kill Ichigo when it killed his mother. The local shinigami rep is incompetent. On top of that, one of his closest friends is a Quincy and his son goes to school with Ichigo. All these things make me think Isshin wanted to train Ichigo but wanted to do it naturally and without scaring Ichigo since he was still a kid.
Exactly, it's all part of the dumb dad plan when actually he was teaching ichigo.

Soul Society Ichigo took out 3 Lieutenants without even using his Zanpakuto. And one of those Lieutenants (Sasakibe) had a Bankai for hundreds of years at that point.
AstraKala Yeah he was stated by Yamamoto to be at captain level as Yamamoto asked him to be a captain but he chose to be under yamamoto cause he respected him
By the time in the soul society arc came around I’d only assume sasakibe was way stronger than he was before
But this doesnt make any sense, how can ichigo that trained for few days can beat someone who has his Bankai mastered hundred years ago

Ichigo's was always a Shinigami,Hollow,Quincy since birth and his powers are a mystery in some parts of the story his spirits are in total Disarray and sometimes his spirits are willing to help him get through something but mostly keep his powers locked due to Ichigo shunning something that is still and was always a part of his soul and other times due to the spirits intentionally hiding ichigo's power to discourage him from getting in more dangerous situations which as we all know didn't work on Ichigo as he kept running towards death every chance he got.

The first time Ichigo revealed his bankai, gotta love it.
Right his little chat to Byakuya when he reveals his Bankai with a smile was badass. As well as the power he emits during Bankai release was perfect for the moment.

The tornado of dust and ichigo slicing through it. Only one of Ichigo's bankai releases matches that. And that's when he went into bankai and put his mask on the same time against Ulquiorra the first time.

Actually, I was a bit dissapointed after seeing everyone else's Bankai being HUGE. I was confused.. I wish the kept the Huge Bankai "trend" going.

Let's be honest. Everyone in this arc who didn't know Ichigo at first was probably thinking that this dude was some freak amongst freaks of nature for how quickly he grew in strength to the level that would usually take decades at least and centuries on average for anyone else.

Aizen explains in episode 308 or 309 that the hogyoku's will can have an affect on those around them. Ichigo wanted to get stronger to protect those around him. The hogyoku sensed that and he was able to get ridiculously strong in a tiny amount of time

Mate 3 realms SS, hueco Mundo and world of the living made the universe which was devided by rei-o and Yamamoto alone was going to destroy the SS and Seth claiming that SS being planet is before the release of light novels. SS has to be the size of multiple galaxies to make 1/3 of the entire universe and contain trillions-quadrillions of souls along with numerous stars and Ywach who could easily destroy all these realms saw that Ichigo bankai would be the death of him. So yeah Ichigo have to be universal.

@@foxolocation3853 Okay Naruto sure has mastered Taijutsu and when it comes to H2H naruto would win not counting the speed(Bcuz lets be honest Ichigo is faster then naruto) But Ichigo never lose any of his powers without his zanpaktou there are multiple scenes supporting it such as him wiping the Lieutenants without his sword. Ichigo was attacked by his father constantly, which is something subtle enough to slip people's minds. Isshin did not have his powers at the time, however he still had his hakuda skills, which he used to teach hakuda to Ichigo, with no one being any bit the wiser about it. Have some knowledge.

I always forget that Ichigo's bankai gives him enhanced speed due to compressing his power into a single point. I miss watching him run circles around an enemy as he did with Byakuya.

Sure when you have achieved Bankai you need to be stronger than you was before but if you already had the multiplier before using bankai then why would you ever use bankai. It'd just be a waste of reiatsu if they didn't gain any additional multipliers
The reason i think Clyde is the best Bleach scaler is because he digs deeper then most power scalers. He do his research right.
Jeez I remember when I first watched this arc years ago, Bleach was the first anime I ever watched and this moment plus his fight against byakuya really sold me as an anime fan. I'm so happy that Bleach is returning. 😊

I personally feel like Ichigo's sensory abilities are a bit like a roller coaster. Sometimes he's amazing at it, like the time he sensed Chad whilst fighting Zaraki, whilst at other times he's not all that great, like the time when he only sensed Arancar Grand Fisher by the time Isshin showed up. Shinji even mentally comments something along the lines of "He's only now just sensing that? Is this guy for real?".
Not really Chad's someone ichigo has for years and would know the feel of
were as Fisher only met twice and not someone ichigo would keep a sensor out for as it drags up emotionally turmoil when hes already dealing with white
It also shows hes a protector not a warrior as he always senses his allies and only really goes after enemies when they've done something
I think emotional turmoil definitely has a part to play With it. Ichigo's constantly shown he can't use his full power when he's going through something emotionally straining.
He could sense chad because he has a bond or whatever with Chad.

0:53 one of my fave moments was when the music kicked in and Ichigo swings his sword at Aizen and . but the sword and the music stop dead, it was such a shock as the show had programed us to expect Ichigo to win whenever that music is playing.

The Sokyokou being blocked was pretty hilarious. It gets blocked two more times, like, this thing was supposed to be godly and it just immediately gets repeatedly no selled.
sokyokou is overhyped. same logic with building sized zanpakuto. it just sounds more menacing, but the characters are already way beyond that
Ichigo is a prime example of what Aizen told Sui Feng about fights being of reiatsu.

You can't dodge it because it is instantaneous in that time in that soace the attack exists and therefore its impossible to dodge
That’s why it annoys me that people like to claim it’s easy to dodge. Sure, it’s a thin attack, but Aizen in his full monster form, who transcends all Hollows and Soul Reapers (aside from Ichigo) couldn’t dodge it. Its speed is immense.

Another thing to remember is that he never wanted to kill anyone, he was only there for rukia. So if he wanted to, he could have killed all of those lieutenants, or even kill byakua. *MAYBE* kenpachi because he did injure him a lot in his fight
So everyone is lucky that Ichigo didn't go full lethal otherwise he could have given them some bad casualties

I wish we got to see more hand to hand combat from Ichigo. I feel besides the Soul Society arc they only showed him really use it in his regular human form.

Ichigo is what is referred to as a Natural Born Fighter. It basically means that even without training he is deadly. But he learns more from taking part in actual combat then in training, Because while in a fight he learns at a faster rate then someone who trained in the same techniques. There are a bunch of people like that in the real world too. This is what makes him so great. Awesome video.
I completely forgot Tousen used Resurreccion. Makes me wonder if that was yet another of the powers Ichigo should have gained. My belief is that the original ending of Bleach was meant to have Ichigo take the place of the Spirit King because he would have all the powers across the board.

I LOVE that you incorporate the bit about not going overboard with exact numbers or precisely where they stand since it's not the author's intention for us to gouge comparables with headcanon and that you use all source material from the actual manga. This type of character assessment is great.
People really do tend to forget how strong this guy was at this point in the series, but he was also wanked quite a bit too in the scenes. But i don't like how after a little while again, Ichigo returns to mid tier strength after we see the captains in full action and the characters he impressed before just rise to absurd levels.

I love Ichigo’s post Bankai training outfit so much that I wish it became his default outfit after the Soul Society arc.
Should do white ichigo, even though he’s apart of ichigo I still think he’s very interesting sum ichigo could’ve bin with the versatility he uses in battle
He's stronger than the Vasto Lorde Ichigo that made a fool of Ulquiorra. Zangetsu would actually be stronger than that Ichigo, since he was only at half of his powers when he foughy Ulquiorra.
Not only that but can also use his sword better than Ichigo himself, as we saw when Ichigo fought him.

I totally forgot that Konpaku essentially all get zenkai boosts after surviving mortal danger. I had recently thought back on bleach and was a bit confused, thinking that it seemed like many of them had progressed quite slowly compared to Ichigo but suddenly started growing faster.

My head cannon will always be that Ichigo got nerfed after Soul Society.
Mostly, because of the badge and he didn't get as strong as he should be until Vasto Lorde form.
50% of Ichigo's spiritual energy was being restricted by Zangetsu and 80% by the badge. His spiritual energy was still that strong,I'm guessing as powerful as Lieutenant, with only 20% + because White was trying to come out. I believe once he mastered Hollowfication was able to use 30- 45% of his own spiritual energy. Vasto Lorde 70% ( mostly Hollow), and Dangai being 70%(mostly Quincy since it looks like a Volksatndig) as well but Final Getsuga being 100%.
I consider Fullbring Shinigami Ichigo as back to his original 50% like Soul Society Arc since his fullbring comes from the badge that was supposed to seal away his power.
However, these are percentages which dont give much in quality but how much of his full potential.

I’m actually very happy you addressed the Ichigo post soul society topic in this video as well, I was still left sort of indecisive after our debate bc I didn’t mention the SS badge and how they were weakened in the living world but with more context and seeing as grimmjow should’ve been above the byakuya which fought ichigo it makes a lot more sense
I just finished the soul society arc and it is AWESOME, ichigo's Wins were heard by everyone and rightfully so , he took on and defeated some of the most powerful people without Bankai and you have to remember at this point he was still learning about Zangetsu and how to properly use it . When he arrived on the bridge to Save Rukia is such a chilling moment, and I'll never get tired of the leutenants and captains going " What is this guy " every time he got up Coz ermmm that sounds funny coming from them considering their powers 😂😂

Great video Clyde. I do have to say that dodging an attack that move as light speed doesn't mean you are moving qt light speed, just that you're perceiving the attack before its fired. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the other guy with you and all that. Love your stuff.

Yes blue is Quincy red is hollow
yes his zanpaktous ability is to release and compress burst of energy. Combine that with Quincy blood(natural ability to absorb, sense, and release reiatsu) and Hollow reiatsu makes it entirely OP.

Do you think that 90% of the problems in the arcs would have been solved if Ichigo would have just listened to White from the beginning? I wonder how this wouldve changed things.
I would've liked to have seen ichigo bonding a little more his hollow/sword and see him do other shit like that. White could've trained him more hollow techniques

@@angelgab-8594 White from the beginning was evil. He even said something like "take care of him cause that body will someday be mine." When he fought Kenpachi. Only interest for White was to not let ichigo die cause he would die too tho. So ichigo had no choice but to work with old man.

See, It's impossible,in our universe,for any object to travel at light speed. Only,well,light,can travel at light speed. So for all intents and purposes, Bleach (and every anime ever) exist in a completely different universe from ours,not only in aesthetic terms,but physical as well. Who's to say "light" in the Bleach universe moves at light speed? Because it's not the same laws as our universe. You can say "well they have gravity and light,so that makes it just like our universe" no,no it doesn't, because NO OBJECT can move at light speed,In our universe. It is physically impossible. So when dumb "power scallers" like you and the commenter say stupid things like this,I can't help but laugh

Yes,Serhan,they are not. But that was not my point. No object,in reality,can surpass lightspeed,no object can even get close to light speed,and despite them being shinigami,they have physical properties. Understand what Im saying? That's why when I hear stuff like "oh man he can go 20 times the speed of light" im just like "but this doesn't MEAN anything!" And that's a problem I have with power scalling,in general. It's just stupid. It doesn't make any sense. Because anime, comics,whatever, they don't follow our rules. You understane what Im saying?

The crazy thing is, the more he trains and fights powerful opponents, his power increases so much. But the Quincy inside of him is suppressing that power, he even suppresses the power he gains by training. The Quincy within Ichigo can suppress most of Ichigo's power, but not all. So with all of his training, even his Banki training, Ichigo is actually much much stronger than people think.
Just imagine if his power wasnt being suppressed this entire time, imagine if he had his full power to draw from during and after his Banki training. I dont think any of the captains would stand a chance against Ichigo at that time, except for maybe the head captain, and probably Zero Squad.

Didn't Ichigo get weaker post soul society due to the soul reaper pass he got from the captain of the 13th division
Technically, yes for a bit, but it got broken when he went full hollow against Ulquiora.
Yeah we don't know how much ichigos power gets limited with the pass but maybe it seals off at least half or more of his power?
yeah, and he got further nerfed because zangetsu was coming out (hollow) and he supressed himself more out of fear
Ichigo was constantly nerfed through out the series between the pass, his own powers being imbalance, not even having a

True Zanpakuto to begin with Ichigo, though in the case of the pass I don’t think he was being nerf THAT much only when he was in his body and Ginjo did say it was only when he had the pass on him is when it be restricted. Still, it took a lot of hoops and hurdles for him to get close to his true potential, and I don’t even think we fully saw that in the manga.

Yknow I've gotten so used to such extreme power scaling that I kinda really didn't notice just how strong all these characters were until I actually looked in depth into it.

I think the problem is that Kubo only hints at this, but because of the hollow Ichigo tends to hold back or not fight without limits after the SS arc. It really annoys me that in the final arc we only see a small glimps of how strong he is, his calm, controlled spirit power and certainly fighting abilities.
We all know we were hyped when Op.3 played and Ichigo was finna go out.

Hey Clyde, I was wondering if at some point you could do a video covering Harribel, because my and my girlfriend were talking it over and I realized that in terms of palpable feats she looks way less impressive than some of the other Espada. The way she saw it was, Yammy in base was enough to cause Toshiro to have to use Bankai, and that shows that him using bankai and being able to contend with Harribel makes her Resurrección look maybe only a little bit more impressive than Yammy. So I figured if there was anyone who could clarify this topic it would be you.
At any rate, great video once again! You're an integral part of the community and I know you've kept my interest in it while the manga and anime have been gone
