- Ranking The Vizards From Weakest to Strongest - A group of shinigami, exiled from the soul society, and manipulated by Aizen to the point where their entire goal in life revolved around defeating him, and were cast away into the real world, where they would find a way to survive, master their inner hollows, and become the mentors of Ichigo to help him learn to use his hollowfication, and they are without a doubt; some of the most aesthetic characters in entire series of BLEACH, when it comes to their fashion and fighting styles.

Shinji definitely is the most underrated. He would beat many top-tiers in Bleach.
His shikai is so strong, it’s just sadly compared to aizen’a op powers

Kensei and hitsugaya are my favorites i also love kensei's bankai
I don't feel that he's underrated compared to other vizards in general, his bankai is just a garbage design
Kensei is my favorite character. His speed feats, reaction speed, the utility of his Zanpakuto, and his comfort with multiple ranges of combat is incredible. People do not realize his Shikai and Bankai are compressed like Ichigo and unique like Shunsui for its dual weapon usage and the additional comfort in weapon shapeshifting for situational benefits. People also don’t consider the power of a slash from his bankai. An explosive slash from his knuckle blades is devastating and hax in its own right. If senbonzakura for example is flying towards him all he needs to do is hold his fist up and it will disperse the attack.

I feel sad that almost all Vizards are so underrated and have so less screen time, despite having very interesting characteristics.
Shinji has a very noticeable position in the Past arc: Aizen's captain (and as you mentioned, the only one to discover Aizen's intentions), and is close with Urahara. Not mentioning his unique abilities, intelligence and leadership.
The plot afterwards could have utilized him much more (though the anime version did give him more screen time by describing him as much more resistant to the initial Hollowfication & managed to overpower Tosen at the scene).
Mashiro is another Visard I find interesting. With her mask on she's probably second only to Yoruichi speaking of physical combat abilities. I like the combination of her personality & the fact she easily mastered hollowfication (which reminds me the kind of peer at school who is less sophisticated / freshman at life, but gets 95% or above in every single quiz and exam).
I think it's overlooked that Lisa actually became the Squad 8 captain in the epilogue. Not totally sure if that warrants her being pushed up at least higher than Mashiro, but it's at least a point for her

I hate that so many characters were wasted potentials, especially Vizards. We dont know the exact powers of many of them, some of them do not have even zanpakuto names or powers revealed. I just hate it, why introduce cool looking characters without any explanation about their powers whatsoever.

They we're really Introduced as more powerful in the series only to be nerfed for plot reasons. They should have dominated in the Quincy Arc.

In all seriousness though if Hanataro trained more and got some confidence he'd honestly be a force to be reckoned with. He's already apparently lieutenant level in the novels.
Even In chapter 700, Unohana was scared of Hanataro's Bankai and the central 46 had to put a seal on him.
i feel like kubo could’ve made the shinji vs aizen fight way more interesting. they could’ve had it so they start in base with shinji being overpowered then activating shikai and hollowfication. then make aizen reverse each of the affects one by one and retake power.

I love these Deep Dives into parts of Bleach. You're so right that some characters just have bad match-ups. A lot of bleach characters can be OP if they're fighting the right person.
Always was a big fan of the Vizards, Shinji and Kensei being my favorites. I loved the video!
Many argue that vizards can't actually use their masks during bankai cause it would cause too much physical strain,their masks already only last 3 minutes so putting the pressure of bankai on it would be to much for them. As it stands only ichigo could pull of this feat due to his zanpakuto being a hollow.
In turn back the pendulum Kensei uses both.

More like Ichigo being a Quincy, Shinigami and Hollow. Shinigami powers from dad, who was a captain from SHIBA noble family. Quincy powers from Yhwach. Hollow powers from Aizen/Yhwach plotting everything by having White get into his mother Quincy. He literally fucking could be a soul king after the last ark if Yhwach corpse didn't become the vessel for the soul king and then probably refused the offer afterwards.
And btw most of the anime he only used his Quincy + Hollow powers. His Zangetsu was Quincy powers, which is also explains why he would turn into hollow after using too much Quincy powers, because the Quincy - Shinigami power balance would break and hollow side would go berserk. The hollow Ichigo in his inside word is his Shinigami powers.

I don't think it's really possible to rate the Vizards in terms of power because we've not seen most of them use their Shikai and Bankai and they can all probably unleash their hollow masks in conjunction with their sword abilities to give them even more power. They absolutely deserve more development and even their own series because they are so fascinating and have so much unrealized potential.

By what we‘ve seen, I‘d say that Rose is stronger than Love due to the fact that Love‘s Bankai is still unknown

Would love to see the vizards take more w's in the tybw. Let them flex in the first fight against the sternritter they should have had the best chance against the quincys with their hollowfication and then let the og captains shine once the next battle comes as it happened in the manga.

I want to toss you a thousand likes. This video I believe accurately describes the actual strengths of this underrated group. Kensei Muguruma is my favorite character despite his showings as he demonstrates incredible skill that is undervalued.

I love the Vizards, Vizard Ichigo is my fav ver. Of him and back then I always thought the concept was so cool and they were so powerful. Was kinda let down with how they were ultimately utilized in the series but still think they are really cool but yeah really wish they would’ve done more in the show. Also my fav ones were shinji, love and lisa.
Shinji saving Ichigo is probably my fav Ichigo moment. Badass with kickass theme. Also would Shinji bankai have stopped Aizen if he used this instead of his Shikai.

They'd honestly just confuse each other. Aizen would be under Shinji's effects, nd Shinji would still be under Aizen's. Aizen could decode Shinji's shikai by simply replicating it's effects on his own perception inversely to cancel it out. In bankai, Shinji would still be seeing what Aizen wants him to, while Aizen is confused asf as to who he should flex on. It'd be a mess if both power wete to be used at the same time.

Kensei does look practically identical to Bryan Fury and has Tekken in the name of his Bankai. That's definitely not a coincidence on Kubo's part.
I hope that in the anime they change scripts a bit because Kensei and Rose lost too stupidly

Kensei was always my favorite Vizard, his bankai is sick too.
Another theory I have for why Kensei, Rose, and Shinji never used their masks in the TYBW arc is that they might just be unable to hollowfy while using bankai. That probably sounds really strange when you consider that Ichigo almost always uses his mask while in bankai, but keep in mind that Ichigo has had his hollow powers fused with his Shinigami powers since he was born, so they're essentially in sync with one another. Meanwhile, the vizards all attained their masks from the experiment Aizen put on them, so that might make their hollowfication much more unstable when used in tandem with their bankai- which is already said to require intense concentration to activate. That, or Yamamoto may have simply forbid them from using their masks in order to become captains again, but who knows, Kubo will probably never tell us honestly.
Shinji also happens to have a bankai so overpowered that he is forbidden from using it lol
