An Awesome Prayer in Te Reo Māori

E te Atua kaha rawa.
Whakatata mai ki ahau, kia tutuki pai ai ngā kaupapa mō tēnei rā.
Homai ki ahau tō hinengaro, tō rangimārie, tō māramatanga ki roto i ēnei mahi uaua.
Homai ki ahau tō arohanui mō ngā tāngata pōhara, ngoikore, rawakore. Kāore nei he huarahi pai. Kua whakaritea mai mō rātou i roto i tō ao hurihuri.
E te Atua, taku kaiwhakaora, ki a koe ngā korōria, ngā hōnore mo āu mahi pai. Kua ūhia mai nei e koe ki runga ki tō pononga.
Ake, ake tonu, Āmine.
Draw near to me oh Lord
When I lose my way, bring me back to your protective covering
Give me the courage I need to face the challenges of this troubled world.
Fill me with compassion for people, particularly the lost and needy in our community.
Thank you for listening to your servant.
