- r/Entitledparents OP is a pepper head! He loves all things spicy, so he decides to make himself some ultra spicy hot wings. Unbeknownst to OP, his roommate's friend (the entitled mother) comes over with her kid. The entitled mother sees the chicken wings sitting on the counter, so what does she do? Naturally, she steals a wing and gives it to her precious child. The poor kid eats it and immediately starts screaming because it feels like her mouth is on fire. The entitled mother then starts screaming at OP for not having safe food that she could steal.

As a woman raised by a single dad, often times single dads NEED to go into the woman's bathroom/changing room because they are the only ones with baby changing facilities, and every time that's happened the women in the bathrooms have been SUPER supportive of the dad!!
There needs to be more support for changing tables in men's restrooms. I also remember a time when I was 8 and my sister was 6 and we had to use the bathroom. My father would stand outside the restroom at a local McDonald's because he couldn't bring us to the men's and he couldn't go in either. The women in there were like super supportive and also made sure we made it okay. Good thing more popular places like stadiums, theme parks, airports and some major retailers have family restrooms now.
@@Yumi_Jay totally!! My nearest shopping centre has a separate place for changing babies but a lot of older places are still behind. When my dad first became a single dad he'd either never go to places long enough to have to take us to the bathroom or have my aunt or granny tag along. If you see a dad if a bathroom or a changing room genuinely just helping their kids, leave them be!! They don't want to be there either!
It’s increasingly common in the UK to have a dedicated diaper changing room next to public bathrooms. They are equal access instead of keeping changing tables in both restrooms.
@@phoenixfire8978 This is also normal in Australia in public facilities, malls etc. Often it's not a specific baby-changing room, but a uni-sex toilet suitable for wheel-chair, and also including a change table. They are open to everyone, you don't have to have a baby or be in a wheel-chair.
Our church put a changing table in the men's room years ago. The dads no longer had an excuse for ditching diaper duty.
My mother is CONSTANTLY telling me how to parent. A few days ago she came by and did it again. I said "Mom, I love you, but with all do respect, I'm doing the opposite of whatever you tell me because I see how your children turned out, and I don't want them to end up there. You were a great mom, but I aspire to be even better" she cried and left. Her 4 yr old died because she was visiting my grandmother across the street and left us alone. The rest of us turned into drug addicts. Myself and my older brother are doing well these days, but my baby brother is still a horrible loser addict, abandoned his kids, and lives with my dad at 34. Sorry if I don't take your parenting advice. Doesn't seem as if you know what you're talking about.

That's my thought as well. She liked looking at his privates. She had to seen them before since she had a SON! I'm sure her son wasn't even bothered by it at all. She got an eye full and felt guilty.
She came in with son for 15 minutes before the adult males got there, was still there while he showered for ten minutes and she shocked men are using the men room for changing!!! Why is she taking 25 minutes to get her son changed out and still there to stare at the man's penis? She is the voyeurs. She is only deflecting from her own bad behavior.

First story: I'm 33 and apparently never "matured past the not wanting kids phase". I'm thinking "bitch, I've been an aunt since I was almost TWELVE! I know how I am around infants and it's not ideal. This isn't a phase for me. It's a fact of life."
I didn't start bonding with my nieces and nephews until they were several months old. It's not ethical for me to have kids when I won't even hold newborns. And to preempt the inevitable: the reason I became an aunt so young is because the first of my brothers to have kids is 13 years older than me. So yeah, I have a literal lifetime of figuring out how I am with kids. My parents don't pressure me because they're awesome, I'm single, and they now have seven grandkids. I'm a cat mom so they have a grandcat from me.
There is literally no good reason to have kids if you don't want them. Like, the only good reason I could think of is when you are suddenly one of the few survivors of the apocalypse and the only way to save humankind is to procreate. And even then I am not sure if that is worth it (I mean, our kind is not exactly good for the environment).

I decided in my 20s (I'll be 35 this year) not to have kids partly because of my chronic pain issues, many of which are genetic - my great-grandmother had them, my grandmother has them, Mum has them & I have them. They also seem to kick in & become more than just ignorable aches & pains earlier & earlier with each generation. Gram was in her late 40s, early 50s when they really started being a problem for her, Mum was in her 30s, and I was *19*
I also just...never wanted any. I don't dislike kids, I do fine with babies, I just don't want any of my own. They're more fun when you can send them back to their parents 😆 I'm also an aromantic asexual, so, gonna be hard to ever get pregnant to begin with LOL

I was gunna say, definitely not just a grocery store thing. There is a lot of workplaces now that have a zero tolerance for having your phone on you while on the floor. Depends on the kind of worker you are if you're ballsy enough to be on your phone when you're supposed to be working. I hate the generational stereotype for being on your phone as a Gen Z or Millenial. I know a lot of people in their 40's + that are on their phone all the time, but it's the "younger" generations that get harassed about it.
@Project Oof While I was employed I spent eight hours out of ten on a computer. The rest of the time I spent doing research or helping other people. My son spends all day on a computer even when he's at work. Of course, he's been writing programs and working in the computer industry since he was 13. He loves it. He was working on his Doctorate in Computer Science but stopped once he realized the only thing a PhD would do for him would be to enable him to teach. He could teach but it is not what he likes doing.
People saying “I’m a single mom with X kids” enrages me every time I hear it, a mom i know is a single mom to 7 kids and never once has used that to guilt trip people or try to get something for free.

@Faisal Perdana or the kid will have some mental or medical problems (obviously not because of the vaccines) and she'll use that as "proof" that vaccines are bad. All she cares about is making sure she comes out either looking like a saint for praying or a genius for being "right". I hate antivaxxers with a burning passion but I can't even argue with them because I just so happen to have a couple of those problems associated with "vaccine injuries" (including the one all antivaxxers fear the most, autism) which they throw in my face and use against me.

My mom had nothing but bad husbands. My step-father was notorious for drinking and gambling, leaving mom as sole breadwinner and provider, homemaker, housekeeper, and alone to raise me and keep track of how age-appropriate my video games were for me.
Actual hard-working moms will hold themselves to impossible standards of capability and integrity on all fronts. My mom's a goddamned superhero even at 72 years old, she was a better shot than any of her husbands whether it was with a handgun or a rifle, and the one time my stepdad tried to hit her, he was the one on the floor before anyone even realized he was about to swing mom reacted so fast.
Actual hard-working moms will swallow every bit of their pride to do the best damned job they can and earn the biggest damned paycheck they can so they can take care of their kids most important needs.

I don’t have Reddit so I’m going to share this story here
My family just moved to a new neighbor hood, so my mom sent out a post saying “hi! We are new to this neighborhood, is it always this windy?” And someone (E) replied “yeah it’s always windy in March, welcome to earth, enjoy your stay” which was super rude but we weren’t really going to say anything.
My moms good friend, (we will call my mom K and her friend C)
C told K that what the woman (who we will call E for entitled) said was super rude, and that she actually knew E, because she lived in her neighborhood. C recently had someone spam her email for months after asking them to stop and eventually threatened to report them (apparently they can be charged a couple thousand dollars per email if they don’t acknowledge the requests to stop, and this was going on for months) and the person eventually stopped spamming them. C made a post saying how annoying it was that businesses weren’t allowed to abuse emails or sell them or anything and she’s upset she had to work for several months to have them stop and they should’ve respected her request the first time. Other people in the comments were agreeing, but E commented and wrote “you’re exaggerating, you didn’t need to report him, calm down.”
They also met up for a play date the first time C and her family moved in (they had 5 kids, they have one more now) and E reached out and wrote “Hey, seems like our kids like to play together! We should have a play date” so K agreed and they met up at their house. But wait, they didn’t. E just DROPPED OFF HER DAUGHTER at their house.
And just left.
For a few hours.
E comes back and says “sorry, I had errands!” This happened a few more times.
Me and my brother both have loved listening to the Rslash podcast and listen to the new one every morning, so we had heard this story before but didn’t think we would encounter it. Overall, I’ll keep y’all updated on if anything happens rip

there was a mom who volunteered at a camp I was also volunteering at, and you could tell she was one of those people who don't like to be told by girls younger than her what to do. I was working in the kitchen running the dishwasher and I guess the camp leader thought I needed help so she brought the woman and her group of girls she was in charge of, but didn't tell the woman to do what I said, so I told the woman that I didn't need any help so she say's "oh we're just waiting for so and so(I can't remember which adult she was waiting for)" I was the only one in the kitchen and I was not here to babysit her and her kids so i just kept washing the dishes. Later when she actually did what one of the older volunteers did, we ended up having to clean up after they were done "cleaning".
The chicken thieving EM should be reported to CPS, this mother would intentionally give potentially poisoned food she stole to her child!
That child must be saved!
She also said “people are going to think I hit my child”. No one said it, but she decided to mention it like she was defending herself.

I hate people saying that. I'm someone who's always on the phone but not for gaming. I'm a bookworm and constantly read ebooks on my phone (my yearly challenge is reading 200 books per year). But so many people think being on the phone means "playing stupid games".

The more I read the more I learn how much I don't know so I have to open another book to find out something new to learn. Great fun. And yes, I've read a lot of books since I was ten. To the op who vaccinated their 6 month old. Thank you for doing research and coming to that decision. I understand growing up under those beliefs makes it hard to see past them but trust me, vaccinating you’re baby is for the best.
Many of those illnesses are deadly and well a child’s immune system can only be so strong. So really it’s for the best. Having your (I’m assume gorgeous) little girl be a little fussy for a few days is much better than any side effects that could come from catching those awful illnesses.
Y'know what? I'm really happy to hear about that family that changed their minds on vaccines. The parents who did the research and decided to trust science here for their own safety and the safety of their baby. Good for them!!

I feel for the fathers in that last story...I’m going through a divorce from a narcissist and lucky enough I was granted full physical custody of my kids
If I may , can I get your male perspective on things. I'm also going through a separation with a narcissist with whom I had a rough marriage with. Its been a year plus and I have moved on to someone else. I don't think I will be considering marriage seriously until several solid years of relationship again but I do live together with my current partner. He's been great at bonding and taking care of her. My child calls him daddy and her bio father papa , she's always called the bio dad papa even when we were together. But recently he's taken offense at it and trying to make her call him daddy as well whenever he visits once in a while and starts tantrums when he heard her call the other daddy. I always brush it off as him being himself , as he does that kind of things alot , for example he never spent time with me or his child when we live tgt and when I did plan outings to zoo or park he would ruin it by staying up all night to play games , insist he will be fine , end up not being fine, sick, going home asap, be nursed all the way back , then be magically better at home and play games all day again etc. But when my current partner and I plan nice days out or picnics and he sees or hear about it he constantly goes on about how it should be him instead /He deserved to be there / he also wants to have nice outings and then proceed to ruin the outing for us. Things like this are very common with him so I just thought it was his usual fits. But I feel like after reading this , it might be something deeper than just jealousy.

The chilli story reminds me of my friend, who was, or well, still is very into spicy food. He was making his food when his mom walked in and asked what he was making. He told her and she didn't believe him that it was so spicy. 5min later she's in the bathroom feeling like she's going to hurl, all the while my friend was enjoying his food with barely any tears or sweat.
He had to cut back cause it was getting to a point where he just didn't taste the fire anymore no matter what he used.

For the vaccine story, I believe one of the top comments was about telling the crazy mother 'If you're so hopeful that my baby dies, then she might as well will be dead to you from now on.'
She should also tell her grandpa that if EM contacts her through his phone number again, she will cut contact with him too. She doesn't want EM harassing and bullying her, and if Grandpa is gonna be complicit in that, he can suffer the same consequences as EM.
I am a mortician, the story about the anti-VAX parents deciding to vaccinate their children makes me tear up with joy. It’s always tough when you have to smile at the family and pretend like they weren’t the cause of something happening to their child

can I just say, there's alot of spicy foods I can hold back but ho lord jesus that chicken sounded deadly to me and hearing that story made me wish it was her that had eaten it instead. That'd have made for a much funnier experience I think.
My mom raised my sisters and I while struggling to find work, and she was always admired for her determination to take care of us and never once used as leverage to get a job. She was even doing odd jobs and hard labor as well.

i think the mom in the fried chicken story actually felt super guilty after realizing she had hurt her child, and she self projected and took it out on op and their roommate. that’s probably why she was hysterically crying and freaking out. hopefully she learned her lesson from that.

The story with the transphobic manager had me rolling my eyes. I mean, who cares what restroom he goes in? In some countries, there aren't different restrooms for men and women. I am FTM and I faced something similar to this. I work in a grocery store; and, at the time, I worked in the apparel department. When I went up stairs for my break, I'd use the men's bathroom. Well, I use some guys saw me in there and told management who talked to my department head who talked to my lead who talked to me. She's an amazing woman and was laughing about this nonsense when she talked to me. Apparently, I was making people uncomfortable by going to the bathroom and management asked her to tell me to use the gender neutral one or the single stall ones downstairs. She said they thought I would listen to her better. We both laughed at that and she said that she didn't care what bathroom I used and that management can't really do anything against me because of the Union and the employee handbook that protects me. I decided to use the ones downstairs until I started hormones and now I occasionally use the one upstairs just cause I can.

The last story breaks my heart, taking the EM to court to take the kids away from her is near to impossible if the mom is not doing drugs or something mayor. Mens rights are underdeveloped around the world, the best they could do is get the kids for more time, maybe. Really breaks my heart.
If both fathers take her to court and both can prove she's a terrible parent its possible they can win. They have to take everything down and ect. Keep tight records and not to be pushed out. Some women don't deserve kids period. This is coming from a woman. I wish those two dads the best of luck.
Correction: Men's rights when it comes to family is underdeveloped and only in the western world. In the middle east and in Islam, men even holds the power when it comes to children. When a women remarries, the daughter custody is passed to the father.
But in the context of the west, yes, it's underdeveloped when it comes to paternal rights.

This actually happened once at one of my dance recitals
And TLDR, old man goes to help daughter changed into her dance costume in the girls changing room, when there were other female helpers available
So it was late June 2018 and the dance studio I was in hosted a dance recitals at our Catholic/Christian High-school bc it had the 2nd biggest auditorium and stage (right after the local Capital Theatre) and it was cheaper to use the school
So I have to do 4 dances in 3 different costumes (tap and hip-hop shared outfits to help save money, and jaz and lyrical had completely different outfits)
We used the 2 classrooms in the drama section of the school (cause it’s right behind the stage) one room for all the girls, and one for the boys, as well as helpers (who are parents of dancers or the older dancers themselves) for each room
So imagine the surprise of a 14 year old girl who was getting changed from a street-performer look to a dress, when she looks to the side and finds about a 40 yo man helping his (who I hope so) 5-7 yo daughter...
You bet I ran to the bathroom to get changed in a stall bc I was up soon and didn’t want to show off my unmentionables to an old man. After my dance was done, I told my dance teacher about him to have him removed from the room (which she already did as other helpers reported him) and she told me to tell her if he ever came back in there

My mom was anti-vaxx also. She had me, and my six siblings thoroughly convinced that vaccines would make us unhealthy, and that we were superior to other kids who were vaccinated. when I was in 9th grade, there was a measles outbreak in our county, and everyone who wasn't vaccinated, or who didn't provide titer tests as proof of immunity, were removed from school, for our own safety of course. Aside from being anti-vaxx, both my parents were also abusive, which in turn led to us being abusive to each other also, because monkey see, monkey do, right? Well, even though I hated school for all the bullies and teasing I went through, it was still safer than being home, so I BEGGED my mom to let me get vaccinated so I could continue going to school. She lectured me for two hours about the evils of vaccines, and convinced me, 'I don't want to be a sheep, do I?' Part of that lecture was telling me that the measles vaccine in particular was especially dangerous and had the highest death rate of all the vaccines, so I believed what she told me. I mean, she was my mom, why would she lie to me?
Well, two years later, another measles outbreak happened, and they were talking about removing us from school again. This time, I was adamantly opposed to getting vaccinated, because of everything my mom had told me when I wanted one. They had to drag e into the health clinic, kicking and screaming, to get the vaccine. I was convinced I was going to die, o r get extremely sick at least. In fact, I secretly hoped I did die to teach my mom a lesson!
... Nothing happened. That was the moment I started to question everything my parents had ever told me. A year later, I contracted Whooping Cough, also called Pertussis, which there is a vaccine for. It destroyed my lungs, reduced my lung capacity so much, my aspirations of joining the Olympic Swim Team were dashed, my singing and flute playing also suffered, and I had recurring bouts of bronchitis ever since. I have since come to learn, the damage done to my lungs when I had Pertussis was permanent, and led to developing asthma. But that went undiagnosed and untreated for so man decades that it developed into COPD, putting my at high risk for the current virus we are trying to avoid. I am super glad my critical thinking and logical thought skills weren't completely destroyed by my parents' lack of either, and all my children are fully vaccinated, at least while I was in charge of that, they were. Now, most of them are adults. I not only became a vaccine believer, but for about seven years, I was a pro-vaccine activist, using my own, personal experience to help convince others to get vaccinated, and get their kids vaccined, because that is the best way to stay healthy!
Tbh, when that last story started, I honestly thought it was my dad who wrote it. The exact same thing happened with him, except different ages and times for seeing his other children, and my dad doesnt have as much progress on gaining custody as the guy in the story
Unfortunately for those fathers in the last story the mothers almost always win custody. A man was held in contempt after his child died after he had warned the court about the mother's negligence. Society doesn't care about men or what's "in the child's best interest" because sometimes what's in the child's best interest is not being with their mother but the court decides otherwise.
About the chicken:
I really hope EM got her daughter to a hospital. If the chicken was actually that spicy, it could cause GI problems - ulcers, gastritis, and diarrhea. Best to let a pediatrician (or at least a general practitioner, GI doc, or ER doc) sort that out.
About custody for dads:
Best of luck. I really do mean that. It's common knowledge the US courts are stacked in favor of the moms when divorce and/or child custody is the question.

Not going to lie I totally would have just laughed at the Entitled mother who gave the child the spicy chicken.
The changing room story reminds me of something that happened about 18 years ago now when I was 8/9. It's not really related to entitled people, more kids are stupid/kids are evil.
I used to get swimming lessons every Wednesday at a local swimming pool. After my lesson ended one of these times, I was showering, naked as you would expect in the mens changing room.
Some kid comes into the shower area and, as I was the only person in there, he asked me perhaps the stupidest question one can ask in a changing room: why are you naked?
I immediately put my trunks back on.
He didn't know it, but those four words changed how I view my body. There's a deal of shame and extreme embarrassment, even when I'm in changing rooms. Before that point, I had no issue being naked in a changing room, but afterwards I made every effort to hide myself.
Even now at 26, I hate showing a lot of skin (even before I put on weight). I don't wear shorts, I wear long sleeved jackets and hoodies even in summer. All because some stupid kid asked why I was naked in the shower.
Feminism means believing women should be treated the same as men. Meaning, yes, if they're being in a men's changing room, then should be treated the same as if they were a man in a women's changing room.
I understand if she was in there alone, because then it's just a changing room. But being in a protected space and then being upset at the people who that space is for... come on, lady.
Think about how women have to get into the circles reserved for males, from Men's Sheds to Boy Scouts, because they have to break patriarchy. And yet males are forbidden to enter female circles like Girl Guides, because females need their safe spaces.

The kid with the spicy chicken reminds me of a time at my friends birthday party, where he tricked us into eating really spicy noodles, and I mean REALLY spicy. It was just normal noodles, but with ghost pepper sauce added. I ate a single, inch long noodle, and my tongue felt like it physically caught fire. So the next kid comes, thinks it’s just normal flavouring and then EATS SOME OF THE SAUCE.
It was soon after that when we learned; don’t eat the sauce of spicy noodles, and DO NOT drink Coca Cola to wash it down.
If I was the boss and the waitresses say that I can't fire her because she has 4 kids, I would say "she's welcome to have your salary"
