      Roma aren't a very good though - not a bad team at all, but not great. . You let in 6 legit goals, and only scored 3 legit goals yourselves. Post analysis you were whipped 4-1 in the 1st leg, and won 3-2 in the second thanks to a ball bouncing off Milner's head. Hardly robbed!

    • @MrLOBIP
      @MrLOBIP Před 6 lety +7

      Only 3 legit scores? They scored 6, why would Liverpool's shit defending negate the other 3? Also, there's a big difference between saying they're not a great team, which they did not say, and saying they're not a good team. That simply isn't true. Roma IS good.

    • @jesterminute9472
      @jesterminute9472 Před 6 lety

      MrLOBIP They scored 3 goals themselves. Of the other 3 chalked up, 2 were penalties (shocking decisions) and one was a Liverpool clearance that rebounded off milner's head. First leg Salah was offside so..post analysis in rationalising the bad decisions, and complete luck, 6 -3, therefore weren't close to winning and had loads of luck, were actually thrashed, and reek of sour grapes

    • @jesterminute9472
      @jesterminute9472 Před 6 lety

      I agree, let's hope the ref doesn't give away 2 awful penalties and let's hope a ball doesn't bounce off a liverpool player's head into their own net. Try that shall we buddy...

      Utkarsh Pokhriyal but Roma still has to score, they still need to take advantage of the fact that Liverpool is weak defensively. Once the score was 7 - 3 on aggregate you thought all hope was lost for Roma and TO THEIR CREDIT, which these guys fail to acknowledge, Roma did not give up and they came close to forcing extra time. I'm not arguing the fact that Liverpool managed the game poorly but Liverpool not defending their lead doesn't take away from what Roma did and to make the blanket statement that Roma isn't a good team is very disrespectful.

    I think Ale Moreno gave a bad response when he said that Roma were not a good team(cause they've done really well this season, despite that bad game), but I think Roma's response to it was way worse. Your team conceded 5 goals at Liverpool, that was a really bad backline performance and hurt this entire second leg regardless of the referee's decisions.

    • @monte5293
      @monte5293 Před 6 lety +3

      If you knew anything about Football you'd know that Roma only conceded those 5 goals when they played a 3-5-2 formation. Once they switched to 4-3-3 at Anfield, Liverpool did not touch the ball and Roma scored twice. Same at the Olimpico - Roma lined up with a 4-3-3 and won the game 4-2. Has Roma started the tie with a 4-3-3 formation, they would be in the final - simple as that!. LIverpool will get even more exposed by Real Madrid and will get thumped in the final

      It was Di Francesco's fault for choosing the wrong formation Al no-one is saying it's someone else's fault. Fact is Roma plays at their best when playing 4-3-3 and for 70 minutes at Anfield they kept playing a non-sensical 3-5-2. I repeat, Roma would have won the tie if they stuck to their preferred formation, but didn't so they lost the tie. There will be no joy for the reds in the final, I'm afraid - poor defensively and with a pedestrian midfield.

It becomes a popularity contest, and it seems like UEFA recognizes that. Just look at Stevie and Gab, completely biased to the clubs they support and represent, and the rest of the panel for Liverpool because they know it’s more of a draw that Liverpool go through because of their popularity over Roma. T all becomes a popularity contest, which results in more money in their pockets. from an Italian football fan... there are two versions: the usuall trolls think about conspiracy. The right guys think about var. Which is what gab is talking about. I believe that gab tends to defend monchi's statement, which was a borderline one. Said that: of course there is no conspiracy and liverpool deserved (i hope they win the final), but having var makes you wanting it even more. Mistakes in seriea whent down to 9%. Before they where around 34%. I like gab because he's always very knowledgeable and passionate at the same time. It's disrespecful to say 'they let them score'. They couldn't avoid it!

    If VAR was in this game Roma would of maybe got some decisions that they did not get but also, Mane was clearly pushed over for a Pen in the first half, he was also very badly tackled by Florenzi and probably would of got a red! Also the 2 penalties they did get where not pens as both times the players were doing everything they could to not handball it by keeping their hands by their side! Lastly Liverpool could of easily won the first leg like 10-2 but Mane missed a lot of chances

    LOL Monchi is talking about VAR and then RM vs Juve, wow. If VAR would have been there then at HT in the 2nd in Juve match score would have been 1-2 as Isco's goal was wrongly disallowed. Even if Juve would have got away with it then if VAR was there, Benatia would have got a RED also for that tackle and the players who pushed ref would have got 2-3 matches ban.
    Italians are simply crying, they lost because of their own mistakes but doesnt want to accept that.

      Gabriel Luigi Lattanazio Yes decisions went against these teams, VAR is needed.
      But those Italians who are crying doesnt even care about that thing. They are only crying about Roma and Juve! And these teams got decisions in their favor also. I told you about decisions that went for Juve, now look at what Roma got in their favor - ref didnt give the penalty when Manolas clearly gave a heavy push to Mane, Roma got penalty which didnt even existed, Florenzi deserved a straight red for that scissor tackle on Mane didnt got the red! 2 penalties , 1 red should be in favor of Roma but 1 penalty and 1 red should be in favor of Liverpool also, Italians dont care! And Salah's offside was by millimeters a very hard decision, but yes it was offside but it was the 1st goal, Roma conceded 6 times after that, that was not because of ref, that was because of their own mistakes!

    • @AlexOjideagu2
      @AlexOjideagu2 Před 6 lety

      LOL are you serious? Defending is part of the game. Roma were losing 5-0 and it could have been 8-2. They were TERRIBLE at Anfield. Roma didn't defend well because they are a worse team than Liverpool. Roma were losing 1-2 at half time in Rome with zero shots on target. They had a lucky own goal;.

    • @matthewgrech7131
      @matthewgrech7131 Před 6 lety +1

      ojideagu and yet they managed to win 4-2 at home, and had 2 seriously legitimate penalty claims on top of that. The fact is, Roma got blown away at Anfield in that 50 minute spell because of Di Francesco's suicidal tactics, and that just gave them a bit too much to do. But to say they're not a very good team, when they are 3rd in Serie A, and this season have beaten both Napoli and Liverpool 4-2 and Chelsea and Barcelona 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, shows a slight bias wouldn't you agree?

    • @AlexOjideagu2
      @AlexOjideagu2 Před 6 lety

      Tactics and defending are part of the game. Liverpool were by far the better team over two legs. Roma had one good half. Even in Rome Liverpool were better in the first half. I think both sides have a point in this discussion. Of course Roma isn't a bad team, but Liverpool were obviously the better side over the TWO legs. The comment that Monchi said, that Gab so desperately tried to say was only towards VAR and not biased decisions against Italians, would have valid if he only mentioned Roma. However, when he brings up the Real-Juve match, were not only was the penalty call correct, but Isco's goal was wrongly disallowed, he is definitely hinting towards something else. That being said, I do believe that they are being pretty disrespectful towards Roma, but both sides have a point.
