Stewart Robson made the most sense, because he actually commentates on the La Liga games and understands the small technicalities involved in the game which he described here. Whereas if you watch English football pundits, the hardly mention any technical stuff but use vague words like "enterprising", "gritty" which in reality mean nothing when it comes to tactics.
It’s clear that Madrid’s tactics made Liverpool look poor. Real Madrid’s defense was not bad, we just played more defensive. Possession doesn’t dictate matches, it dictates more of tempo. But tempo also doesn’t dictate matches. So even if Madrid may have had less chances, we took them, and made the best of them when we got it.

And yes Real’s defence was stellar. The only reason Courtois’ save number was high cause Liverpool was forced to take shot from outside, of course Courtois was a beast. And Vini read the play and made the run, it wasn’t a fluke, he made the run ball fell in front of him, and he put it in. He made that run when he saw Fede whine up for the shot already.

In hindsight, almost every pundit (barring the few sane ones) have had problems with madrid scoring 2-3 goals in a space of 10 minutes and defending for the remaining 80 mins. It doesnt fit their narrative as they believe the 'team who creates more chances/has more of the ball to do it' is the better team irrespective of the result

If you were up against mane salah and Luis Diaz why would you play a high line and give them what they want? L'pool has shown time and time again they struggle with compact organized low blocks. Just to remind you Real Madrid conceded around 20 shots on target against the last Mancity match and Liverpool(total of 180 minutes) and they had 4 on targets. Remember your defense gave chances it was just we didn't use them effectively. Guardiola and Klopp are the two best managers in the world, only thing is they didn't have proper strikers.
