In the 80’s all I wanted to do was grow up fast. Now I wish I could go back. Great song.
you are so right april wine was my shit though they helped me through alot of things i felt every tune and sang every word
Dittoooo...
Dittoooo....!!
It still great many years later
Me too.
I'm met Myles as a young teenager after he played at a high school that my best friend went to in the suburbs of Montreal. Afterwards there was a party that the band invited us to (I looked much older than my age),and he sat next to me on the couch and after asking me my age, told me not to grow up too fast. I wish that I had listened Myles. Now I'm here in my '60s and I would do anything to have those good old days back again(and not grow up too fast). Thank you for the great advice (even though I didn't take it), and the incredible music.RIP❤
I was born in 66....grew up on classic rock like this....God that was a great time to be a teenager...concerts cost between $8-$15....camped out all night at ticket master....those were fun times!!!

I was born in 63. 19 years old when this song came out. I knew then that Myles had a unique powerful voice. Listening to April Wine songs lately and I realize just How Talented This Young Was. Amazingly Talented Group Really. From Nova Scotia. Canada

One of the best rock ballads in history. I was fortunate enough to be in high school in the 80s. 2019 now and this song is just as great now.

Lost count of how many times I played this song in my high school band. RIP Myles. Thanks for the music.
RIP Myles Goodwyn. Thanks for the memories. This song was without a doubt one of the best sappy ass love songs from the classic rock era. Great musician and band from start to finish.
I went to a friend's funeral last week. She was the (barely) older sister I always wished I had. She dragged me (the nerdy neighbor girl) into being a cheerleader for her brother's (my age) little league football team, taught me about girl sh*t like makeup, how to play cards and to just relax and have fun. She also introduced me to some really great music. This one was her favorite!!! R.I.P. Wendy ❤❤❤
Wendy will never die as long as you are alive...
@@bobbaker4027 Thanks Bob!!!

RIP Myles. 💖
Thanks for the memories Myles
Just heard this song for the first time today. Love it!! ❤️❤️❤️I’m an ‘81 baby.
Baby
These guys had some good tunes and real chops - they could play, they could sing, and they could nail it live. Should have been bigger, but I think they hit at a weird time, with hair metal taking over. They didn't quite have the right look, the right vibe for the rock crowd, but were too rocking for the pop scene. Really terrific band, much better than some bands that sold better, that's for sure.
Still touring!!!
LOL i was at this concert..I'm from CF and was 17 in 82..great music, great times to be alive
Still have the 1977 LP Artisan I bought new 3 days after my 22nd birthday. Is worse for wear, but still resides in my closet.
One of my roommates at Wiley Kascerne had 'Mark of the Beast'. To see another Artisan like mine rockin this tune four decades later is very cool.
I was on a facebook page earlier that asked what song reminded you of high school. This was it.
I was introduced to April Wine by my high school french teacher because of the two French lyrics of this song. She had good taste. Merci Mademoiselle Boyd.
Love this song so much, brings back bittersweet memories, best time of our lives, we just didn’t know it then…
WE'RE NOT SUPPOST TO. WOULDNT ENJOY THESE MOMENTS😅
One of my favorite songs of all time. ❤️
Damn... My first kiss to this song in 1983
Saw them on the Harder And Faster tour. I'll never forget Jerry Mercer's endless drum solo. Such a great live band!
Really great song! Reminds me a great love that I've had but for just a short lapse of time!
Me too, Mark!!! I miss that person to this day!!!!
Mak, sorry!!
Love doesn't know time ❣
I feel the same, love is hard to find and hard to hold on to. I wish I was born in a different time years ago when people stayed together. My grandparents were married for 63 years. You can't hear about that now a days. You're lucky with this generation of couples will last two weeks ✌️
At least you had that even if it were for a short period!
The 45 of this was the first music I ever bought myself. The family had one stereo in the living room and I would play this continuously for hours. My mom eventually banned it from being played while anyone else was home. lol I can still hear the moment when the arm lifted to take the needle back to the beginning.
My heart is happy ,when I listen to these guys
RIP Myles, you will be missed😢
I love this band. Saw them in concert a long time ago
What a time to be alive this song really envisions or at least gives me a feeling of what it was like to of lived in this era. The is a power ballad for sure and probably my favorite song right now. Hope the neighbors enjoy some good ol April Wine I sure do!
April Wine and Blue Oyster Cult together at Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy Wisconsin was one of my favorite concerts and I've seen a lot.
Brian Chandler April Wine REO Speedwagon Milwaukee County Stadium probably right around that same time. Good old days for sure.
What a perfect pairing!
I was at this concert!
Lucky!

One of the good ones 1981 prom time south Brunswick high..boling spring lakes n.c.
Saw these guys at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. as the opening act for ZZ Top on Top's El Loco Tour, circa late 1981 if memory serves, and they were fucking outstanding!!
Canada’s finest. I’m from NNY & this song is played on the radio daily. We love the music up there.
Great to hear! Cheers from Vancouver!

You from Indy man? Or close?
If so get back to me.
Im far from my hometown and it would be cool talking with someone who has been there.
Yes I seen them 2 or 3 times at MSA, loved that arena always an opening band , but good enough to headline anywhere.
Saw them open for Rush. January 1978. Aragon Ballroom Chicago Illinois
I had forgotten all about this song! And that's crazy, because it was the 4th song in our 3rd set, and I must have sung it a thousand times! In my defense, we're talking 1980-82 timeframe. I was a lot younger then, and there was a lot more in my bloodstream than just blood, if you get my drift. Miss my old bandmates: Doug, Kevin, Buford, and especially Mike (RIP, brother.)
Great to hear it again, and yeah, great song!
HONOR SIR JIM T

I have known these guys for a long, long, long while. Brian is a champ and shows it. Cheers! GD©
This was the best make out song!!! 1984-87.....the best of times!!!!
Always my favourite. Canada rocks, number 1 best Canadian rock bands. This Canadian girl luv ya , just between you and me. ❤️😍😘🦋👍😇. R.I.P Stevie Lang
Great live sound
This Canadian group are truly the kings of the power ballads. This song and "Tonite is a Wonderful Time" are simply masterful. "just Between You and Me" is truly haunting and sad because the love is not just between the two of them - it's only in his mind, because he WAS left too unsure to try love again. He may hope or imagine that she feels the same way, but he will never be able to take that step to actually find out. Crushing.
Yep. Our burden needs no innocent company😢❤
Canadian legends
Best outro ever! :-)
Always loved the guitar solo in this one.
Always love me some April Wine!
Omg. Love this song and band. Brought me back to the best time of my youth
