    Hello! Thanks for understanding the perspective here. It's great when you can openly express a feeling or opinion and have the fanbase recieve it well despite the fact I might not feel the way you may have wanted me to or something. I will always keep it honest but it's really great to see support in being honest as well because it doesn't always go that way

    Hey welcome back! No worries on not liking some parts of the song everyone has their own tastes, i'm glad you were honest. Just a side detail about this song that I found really interesting, that thumping in the background and when the song starts is actually her heartbeat. They recorded her heartbeat and used it as part of the song lol (Of course it doesnt beat like that, but the sound of it is hers). I like how she puts so much effort into each of her songs, each of her albums has different elements of music. She always tries to change it up, this ones off of her pop album so I think that's why it leans more towards the synths and reverb. Hope to see more of your reactions!

    Look who’s back! I don’t know why, but this time around you’re explaining why you didn’t like some parts in a way that I respect. And I do like that you don’t fake.
    P.S.: this version is very close to the old one. Would it be cool to see your comparison of both versions.

    Hi! It's good to see you back :) Taylor' songwriting is so good and gets better with time. With Folklore and Evermore being indie records she was able to explore her songwriting. Pop music is the genre that uses less words than other music genre. Red (Taylor's version) is coming out tonight in the us, you should react to it, it's a kind of indie, rock, country, pop album with good lyrics (State of grace, all too well, holy ground, come back be her... and the list goes on... She has also added some unreleased songs at the end of the album and she worked with some new people and folklore producer Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff. The fearless (taylor's version) also have unrelased songs on it (they are called the vault tracks) and it's really interesting to listen the 31 years Taylor singing songs she wrote when she was 13-16 years old :)

    welcome back!
    All of Taylor's re-recordings will sound almost exactly the same, that's her point to basically replace the originals. Very small changes, better/mature vocals.
    With Taylor, everything that is in the song-the music/lyrics/melody- is there (or not there) for a reason. Respect your opinion on the song, though, like usual, don't agree with everything.
    Glad to see you back. Red (Taylor's Version) is being released tonight. Hope to see more videos soon.

    U should definitely check out the swifties national anthem ALL TOO WELL I recommend listening with lyrics listen to the original song first ofcourse but tomorrow there will the long awaited 10 min version will be released. Her best song lyrically and the storytelling on this one is amazing. When listening to this u should try to imagine and feel the pain she’s singing. This song is an experience trust me. After that u can react and listen to the 10 min version taylors version theres also a short film along with it. This song is about jake gyllenhaul and taylor was so heartbroken that the song was 10 mins long. So it was cut down to 4 mins if u were wondering why theres one. I MISSED U and we will wait for the ALL TOO WELL reaction

    I want to make a comment in good faith too. I can talk a lot about the lyrics, about chiasms, about the references, etc... Honestly, I don´t think it would be worthy of my time and surely, you -as a "producer"- should have a lot to "produce". But I tell you something just to see if you can aim better. To pick a word without analyzing the whole is plainly stupid. And to do it in a pretentious way just shows even more stupidity. If I analyze "Hollow men" by T. S. Eliot -which I don't like, anyway- and I start by saying "I don´t like the word "hollow"" ... well, you see where I´m going... It´s nothing. So to give you another hint, coz I won´t go on forever and you don´t seem too good at analyzing anything. I ask you a question... Which is this: What are the details that you see of a dress during the sunset? Did you think about it? Try to figure you and your girlfriend-if you ever had one- on a hill, let´s say, during sunset. What is the image that you have? Detailed clothing? (it could be the case in a close-up, but necessarily) Or maybe more like silhouettes in dim glowing light. Like a postcard. So, you need a certain sensibility and ability at perceiving things that maybe you don´t have to certain things. And your posing won´t help you if you are really interested. And if you are not, don´t do it. Go for something else.
    And as I tell you, I can write on and on about this single song but you need to go to the basics I guess. And this song, in particular, is not that much about the lyrics but the mood, the atmosphere. YOu can not like it and many others -in this case, millions of people- like it. But where I´m going is: things are there even if you don´t see them.
    I´m tempted to go on but I'll stop here. Sorry for the grammatical mistake that surely would be there coz I don't have time to reread and edit.

    • @JSteezy
      @JSteezy  Před 2 lety

      I think you are missing the point of it and getting a little too defensive and trying to justify your defensive response to a critique I had when that's not really necessary. I think the song as a whole is pretty vanilla compared to her work on Folklore and Evermore and anyone can read into anything as much as they want. I just thought "nice" was a boring word choice. For you to get as hung up as you did about that one point among others I had to say is almost ironic to your own statement.
      And a comment worth posting is worth being grammatically correct but I suppose you didn't feel that way about what you said and maybe I don't either :D

    • @davidzubiria3783
      @davidzubiria3783 Před 2 lety

      @@JSteezy For starters, you can be "pretty vanilla" if you want and make a good song because it's pop. It is not a job for college, and there are many examples. you may not like the genre but who cares? What does it contribute to the analysis and why would it be relevant? By the way, you can say that this song is more in line with dream pop, which also explains why there is less detail when you compare it to other songs oriented to country or singer-songwriter. In addition, it was written by a woman in her twenties, for a pop album and with another set of references in movies and albums. Whereas Folklore is another album with another set of references written by a woman of almost 30 years. So why do you compare two things that don't want to be the same? So my point is that your analysis is unfounded nor does it seem like you are very skilled at it. The only thing I get out of the 15 minutes is that you don't like the word nice which, as a casual viewer, is something I couldn't care less about.
      And I am not "on the defensive", I am ironic. You pretend you've gotten over things you don't even understand. And it turns out I don't like pretentious people. And being pretentious with substance is one thing, but ... Let's say I think a song like "stay stay stay" is childish. Good, but it pretends to be childish. And I may like it or not. But I wouldn't make a full video on that because it just doesn't add anything ... At least that's how I see it. I think your biggest mistake here is that you think that something "well written" or well-conceptualized should be something serious or on a serious topic. Well, no. Something ridiculous could still be well done. And sometimes you have a good beat and all you need to say is something stupid like "start me up, start me up" and you still have a good song. So for me, the interesting factor of Swift is that she can write the catchy song, she can go after the cliche, be fun and still have those other elements that appear more obviously in Folklore and Evermore -but were always there- intertwined. And those who only listen to folklore and Evermore don´t get it. You don't have to, anyway. Swift is not a "serious artist" for a minority who is expecting only serious stuff. It´s a massive pop artist who happens to have a certain ability with words but also has many other elements taken from pop which happens to be not necessarily serious at all. Sometimes they are just funny or stupid in a good sense for her audience. And it has to be that way. That´s the magic, whether you like it or not.
