Hot on the heels of the Cymarc TFT Anti-Theft Bracket, we have been sent the windscreen brace to for the GS. I takes away the screen wobble particularly on the GSA or many other aftermarket screens.
    You can find it here:

Below are various links to kit I use or items referenced in this video.
These are amazon.co.uk (United Kingdom) links and clicking through and purchasing does earn me a small commission and costs you nothing extra.
I'd be really grateful if you are buying any of these if you used the links and help support the channel.

@@nickhodgeUK Nick, Mark, I fitted the MRA on my r1250gs, I think it's called vario-touring screen. Works very well but you'll definetely need the brace to stiffen it up, when you ride behind or near a lorry or van, exposed to the slip-stream it tends to buffet. Other than that I can really recommend it for riders who, like me, have to endure a lot of motorway miles (or kms as we call them over here). Thank you for your very useful video. I broached the subject of these thefts with BMW UK and asked if they were doing anything themselves to prevent these thefts by fitting the braces as a standard fitting, or in fact doing a recall and fitting them for folks who had already made a purchase. Ian. You are correct on the GS as the screen is significantly smaller but the GSA and many aftermarket screens (which can also be fitted to GSs as the fitting is identical) do have an issue. The MRA with blade deflector is a great screen but suffers badly 👍🏻

Nice one Nick. I have these fitted to my GSA, and they do make a big difference. The only criticism I have with them are the cheap SS bolts, which have heads as durable as cheese, especially the small screen bolts and the fact that the adjusting bolts come lose over time and one of mine dropped out on my last tour. For less than a £7, I replaced all the fixings with better quality torx head bolts and longer adjusting bolts, which allow a lock nut to be placed on the end.

For those who are saying this lets crooks know how to steal the TFT please keep in mind that any alarm/security system is not about preventing something from being stolen, it's about making it harder TO steal. If a pro wants your TFT he's taking it, period, this is about making it take longer to remove so that a thief will ignore it and go for the easier to steal stuff on another vehicle :)

Haven't experienced any particular screen wobble or vibration, but have had trouble with screen slip (or slump), which is to say my screen begins to slip down from the height I've selected, down to where IT wants to be. I can actually watch this happen at speed--I raise it up, it slides slowly back down again. Well it's my bike isn't it?! Nick, does CYMark sell their products in the states? All about supporting the video maker too.

Wunderlich USA sell their own, original version. It has a rubberised knob and feels better quality. Left and right available.

I bought a screen support from Cymarc in 2016, so they did back then. Great product.

I love my GSA, but the whole windshield needs a redesign. I wish BMW would take the financial hit and discontinue the Nav and make that space better suited for smartphones.

Can’t disagree about the Nav. There is now a ‘connected cradle’ from BMW that allows the smartphone to be mounted where the Nav is and operated by the wheel 👍🏻

Have a look too Tony if there’s anything else from him (eg TFT anti-theft brace) as shopping won’t increase much as his lines are mostly flat but it’ll help him with shipping 👍🏻

@@nikoscosmos I had decided to let it go... no point in stating the obvious..... that is until your latest. Seriously, 'did your bit'??? How, by sitting on your ass while your country burned. Winston would be rolling over in his grave if he knew what had become of his countrymen. did your bit my ass. How dare you compare actions taken to repel the Nazi hoard with bowing to the fascist rulers who decreed you must surrender your rights and accept your servitude. Doing your bit means standing up to the insanity of a system that throws out know remedies, known preventatives(vitamin D3, fermented mushrooms, vitamin C) for a needless and untested vaccine that you have no idea what it will do long term - betcha got the jab didn't ya. You did nothing but fall to your knees and exclaim, " Oh great leader, protect me from the scourge of the flu because I'm too stupid to know how to take care of myself."
There is one bright spot in all this, I've found a country made up of people even more moronic than my own. And finally, the term we all know is used by the mentally deficient when they can no longer put two word together that make sense in their addled brain - racist. I feel bad now knowing I'm conversing with a child who is quite incapable of rational thought and self-proclaims himself to be a member of the latest generation of moral and intellectual thugs.
      Have a nice day.
