- Welcome to my exclusive first look at the highly anticipated Cybertruck. Explore every angle of the Cybertruck's bold exterior and cutting-edge features, from its stainless steel exoskeleton to its state-of-the-art interior.
In this captivating video, witness over 500 Teslas gathered in an abandoned mall's parking lot located just outside of St. Louis Missouri, with a critical examination of what it might signify for the demand of Tesla vehicles. Could the abundance of Cybertrucks and Tesla vehicles hint at shifting consumer preferences or a new era in automotive design?

I made these perditions about Tesla a year ago in this video: czcams.com/video/KlaIn7NGKKE/video.html
This was before the NACS deals were announced, and I predicted that too.
I also predicted the NACS deals were fake and would not hold up in this video: czcams.com/video/QFWx5ZbaiGw/video.html
You're going to upset the Tesla fanboys knocking the Cybertruck, be careful.
Yes, the fan boys can be very passionate, but It's just my personal opinion, and I call it like I see it.

Why so hateful? As a Tesla owner, I always hope the best for Rivian.
@@777Outrigger Criticism is only hate to those that can't accept it. I criticize Rivian as well as on a few of my videos. I also give praise where it is deserved. The lack of criticism inhibits growth which is one of the reasons Tesla is in this position. Tesla knows this which is why they are saying they are in the AI business now.
They’re called SOYBOYS 😂😂😂
@@SlyGuy1985 Funny, I've heard that term applied to all EV drivers . Personally, as a Tesla driver, I love my steaks, and I have 3 children done the old fashion way with the same woman.
The local Tesla Service Center in my area did the same with their inventory cars coming in. They didn’t have much room in their parking lot for them as they came in, so they parked them in the parking lot of a local mall that didn’t have many stores and customers. I was able to drive by the mall parking lot in my area and found my vehicle as I was waiting on my delivery pickup date.
They were saying Tesla had a big problem with inventory this time last year. We bought my wife's Model Y in the Q3 last year and the sales center had a big parking lot with hundreds of Teslas on it. It turned out to be a nuthin's burger. .... edit; I just went to the Tesla order page to see how long I had to wait for delivery of the Model Y I own now. ----> It wouldn’t be delivered until June. All the Ys and 3s were either May-June or June. A Sales Center, or 2, piling up with Teslas means very little. In fact it sounds like the myths and half-truths haters of all EVs like to spread.
The Cybertruck was fugly from the day it was announced imho. I guess i never got my pair of reality altering glasses from Elon.
Any $40K car is hard to afford with these interest rates. That’s why I leased 😂
I get what you are trying to do, but this is just a storage place until sold because of the overflow from a center. The Rivian is nice, and clearly you are pro Rivian. However, this video might not hold too much weight. The truth is, all other EV companies are playing catch up to Tesla. While I like all EVs, Tesla is just the standard. Your video is misleading, and way overhyped as you are trying to imply Teslas are not selling well, and people are not interested anymore. I do respect all opinions, and I like your stuff...but this video is far fetched and reaching just to kinda talk down on Tesla at this point. Again, I like your content...but the truth is...Tesla is the standard for EVs.
While this is my opinion it is backed by facts and data. According to Cox, Tesla sales are down 13% since the first quarter of last year and Tesla market share his dropped over 10% (from 61.7% down to 51.3%) since last year. However, everyone else's EV sales are up and some in double digits (BMW).
Almost every one of the predictions I have made about the auto industry have come to past. I'm just waiting to see who will pull out of the NACS deal first. I called GM a year ago. We will see what happens. The video are still posted. They didn't get many views, but I backed everything with data and research.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@@thedukeofmanville I never said you were not being truthful, I said you are reaching. So what sales are down, they are BETTER...far better than any other. NO? Again, I respect your opinion....but you are reaching on this one. It's not my thoughts, it's my opinion on what you are posting about Tesla as a whole, by trying to imply they are not on top anymore. I'm open to all EVs, but it's just a fact they all others are chasing Tesla. Will they catch up, we do not know yet. However, the charging network and support alone from Tesla, makes them the BEST choice. NO one can deny that...
@@2.9Seconds He dogs on Tesla but has never driven or owned one. BMW sales may be up double digits but from what volume? It’s miniscule.
@thedukeofmanville some tesla bulls won't accept the fact and will say tesla is leading byd in china 😅
If EV sales are up for everyone else but down for Tesla that is a sign of weakening demand and your spin won't change that fact.
I own both Tesla and Rivian. I got my Model Y first. Agree, the looks of the Y have become very typical to people. I’ve gotten way more complements about the Rivian than I ever did with Y. However, There is no comparison between Rivian and Tesla when it comes to the operating system and user interface. Tesla is way ahead of the game. On the other hand, the build quality of the Rivian is much better. Let’s talk door gaskets. The Model Y only has a single gasket between the interior and the doors, so dust gets everywhere in the door sills, on the inner painted surfaces of the doors, all over the hinges. I was very pleased to see the double door on hood gaskets on the Rivian.
Sorry, some context. This is in reaction to Duke’s comment about Tesla’s have become boring.
Do you think they teslas just teleport to the dealerships? They gotta store them somewhere…
Yes, however, this is highly unusual since that service center has been there since 2013, and this is the most Tesla's anyone has seen there. It even made the local news. Also, Tesla sales are down 13% year over year, and other EV maker's sales are up this year, and Elon Musk is now saying Tesla is a AI company.
I own a ‘23 R1T Quad and still like the Teslas!! I recently rented one from my niece’s Turo business while I was in Atlanta. That FSD is fuggin’ insane!!!
Just looked at the Tesla inventory for stores that are within 100 miles of where I live in the Denver area. There are 72 Model Ys, 6 Model 3s, 16 Model Xs, and 15 Model Ss, for a total of 109 Teslas in inventory in my area. There are 5 stores/service centers in my area within 100 miles. That means each Tesla Center averages a little over 20 inventory cars per center. That doesn't strike me a bad at all. In fact, it strikes me as excellent. ..
So glad I just ordered my R1T, this cybertruck is kind of a joke
The cybertruck looks like one of those vehicles off twisted metal on Playstation
They are setting up for a giant car light show.
I've never been a fan of the Cybertruck. Not really a fan of Tesla overall. But, I've become a traditionalist at my current age. But that's why I went with a Mach E. I do like the Rivian.
I ran into Tony Sanger, Rivian's VP of Production Facility while on a road trip. Of course one of the stops was a Buc'ees in Leeds Alabama. He didn't introduce himself as the VP. I told him that I really like their trucks and would have purchased on if the timing was right. He complemented the Mach E. Can't wait for them to get their plant built in Georgia.
I've seen this for years at the Tesla service center by my house. They use parking lots around there for cars that are ready to be delivered.
😂.. man you are struggling not to be negative. I think it’s not for the average person that wants a truck. It’s for CZcamsrs and attention seekers. Basically a gimmick…. btw what’s up with the head 🤕

I wanted a tesla for SO long because it was the best option for the EV segment, but the price gets quickly out of hand, hence my decision to go Rivian. I'm looking forward to the R2 I ordered as well in 2026. Thanks for the content!
Thanks! The Rivian is an awesome choice!

The news reported that there are 400 cars there. I figure its a month's inventory. If you travel west to the service center you will see how small the lot is.
It probably was 400 when the news reported, but it has been growing, and cars were being delivered while we were there. In fact, the 9 Cybertrucks I counted were not there when we first pulled up. We noticed them when we were leaving.
@@thedukeofmanville those are all customers Cybertrucks..and all CT’s are foundation series, there are no non foundation series out yet, that includes rear wheel drive CT’s.
I'm guessing that where you are maybe the only pick centre in whatever state you're in. You should already know that Tesla don't have the typical car yard type of business so they need somewhere to put the cars until they are collected. They don't have a demand problem. How do you know how many of these are waiting to be picked up and how many are inventory. This really is a nothing burger by the news report and yourself. Ask yourself how many Toyota sales yards are in your state and then add up all the cars that are sitting in those lots. You wouldn't of seen this many cars when you picked up your Rivian cause there are stuff all orders for Rivian compared to Tesla
What’s ironic is that I want any one of those Tesla and can’t afford it.
August 8th. Tesla will announce some lower cost Teslas that will precede the $25,000 car. Somewhere between the $39,000 Model 3 and the next gen $25,000 Tesla.
Your speculation is incorrect. To clarify, this is a staging area prior to dealership receiving them for conditioning for delivery center. Each one of those Cybertrucks are spoken for by a person who pre-ordered back in 2019, or a longterm shareholder. A little research goes a long way.
Yes, you correct. this is a staging area for the Tesla service center a couple of miles away from this site. However, it is also true that this is an excessive amount of inventory which is why it made the news in the first place. This Tesla service center has been open since 2013, and the have been using this lot since the fall of 2023.
Also, "Tesla's deliveries declined by 8.5% in the first quarter to 386,810 vehicles from a year ago and the company produced 433,371 vehicles during the period. Wall Street had expected Tesla to deliver 454,200 vehicles (Reuters, April 2 ,2024)." Therefore, this along with the layoffs, and 10% loss in market share in the U.S. alone points to a demand issue.
I know you may not be familiar with my content, but I conduct extensive research in order to provide a fair fact based analysis. If you have credible information to refute my claims I am happy to review it and provide a public correction. Also, I predicted this a year ago in this video: czcams.com/video/KlaIn7NGKKE/video.html
Thanks for commenting.
I think they need to find a secure place to store these cars. Install gates and hire security
Yes a dealership near me has countless Tesla vehicles. Never seen the dealer so full of stock in 35 years.
It looks pretty good with a wrap. I think most people are concerned about the range. Some people have already opened the battery pack and there is room for taller 4695 and 46120 cells to get 500 miles of range so I would wait before buying one.
The rear is pretty ugly though.
Great stream
The model X and S actually got price adjustments which is nice but I still think that the Y and 3 need to be reduced by about 5k each to make them more financially accessible to most people. The build quality definitely needs to match as well because there is no way to defend cars at that price point having the same material quality as Hyundai and Kia vehicles.
I agree. The average US consumer will not purchase these cars at their current prices, and they need to make them more appealing to the mass market.
What can he say. He's driving a Rivian. He can't say anything good or he would be admitting he made a bad choice.
He actually has an electric car so he can weigh in when looking at other brands. I am a model S owner and I can tell you that all what he said is valid. The big advantage that those cars have are the super charger network and tech.
I made this video a year ago, and all of the predictions I made have come true so far; including the NACS adapter. This was recorded before everyone started switching to NACS: czcams.com/video/KlaIn7NGKKE/video.html
I also analyze all the brands including Rivian in other videos.
Its more choices thats eating into teslas . demand
I agree! That is the biggest driver for their lower demand.
Why is this parking lot open to public / missing security? Vandalism waiting to happen 🤦♀️
It's about the length of a Silverado. So I guess pickups aren't for you. It's probably shorter than the old Toyota 4x4 with extended cab and 8 foot bed I had. And I had no cameras to assist with parking. My son has no issue parking his Silverado. I don't mind the looks, but I can see why it turns many off. For me it's the features/tech in the Tesla that win me over. Add in the Super Charger Network and it's hard for me to go for any others. Honestly, I really want a van, so will be looking at Volvo's when it's available. But if it doesn't support NACS that's going to be a big negative. Also i wonder if these are some of the lease returns. They have to go somewhere till they're purchased again.
I own a Rivian R1T which is a pickup truck. The Silverado is too big for daily use as well, and I actually use mine for truck stuff unlike most truck owners.
Tesla's making a 1000 Cybertrucks a week now. And Tesla sales just surged in China by 73% in May YOY.
accelerator pedal recall maybe prohibiting sales to be complete on the cybertruck.
Total FUD. I have a res. for a truck!
res for a turd?
EV sales are slowing everywhere. In California, EV heaven, hybrids now outsell EVs. Rivian is not immune to the slowdown. Stock is tanking ($10 per share), they are giving away free PPF ($5000 value) to move inventory, laying off people and the Georgia plant has been shelved. If Tesla is catching a cold, Rivian will get double pneumonia.
"Tesla style is not going to be appealing to a mass market of people". Say what, Holmes? The model Y is the best-selling vehicle on the planet. Is that not mass-market enough? Of course, their market share will decline as other players enter the market, but they are still the dominant player with the best software, performance and charging experience. Yes, far better than the R1T and I own one along with a Y Performance.
Many vehicle purchasers are attracted primarily by design and styling as you appear to be, but other customers want performance, safety and reliability. They are looking for a reliable appliance not a vehicle with mystique or making a statement. The Tesla Model Y has the IIHS highest safety rating ever achieved. The R1T was rated "good". I would think that would be more important to a family man than curb appeal, perhaps not.
What kind of copium are you smoking, bro? Doesn’t matter if a vehicle is a best seller. What matters is the trajectory, and so far, as a growth company, the trajectory doesn’t look good for Tesla’s valuation.
@@mrwombat24 You term Tesla as a growth company. How you view the company is meaningless. What matters are vehicles sold …profitably. Tell me of any other EV startup that makes a profit? Certainly not Rivian. Speak with financial acumen or go back to sleep.
Male customers want performance, and software but most female car buyers don't care about that stuff. I don't even care about the software. Men currently make up 67% of the EV market, and until this gender gap is addressed EVs will continue to be a novelty, and Tesla's are appealing to men, but men only make up half the market.
I predicted this a year ago in this video: czcams.com/video/KlaIn7NGKKE/video.html
Do the winters hit single digits by you? Teslas use their batteries to keep warm in the single digits. I wonder what they would do if these cars all discharged in the winter.
The temperature goes into the negatives were I am, and it has very little impact on my Rivian's Range. I have a video covering this.
If the Teslas are just sitting they can last for a while before the battery dies, but the same will happen to a desiel or an ICE battery that sits too long without the car being started.
@@thedukeofmanville yes, but it’s easier to jump a bunch of ice cars. A parking lot of dead Evs are going to have to get towed to charge.
You should cover RAM, Jeep and Chrysler. The lot time in those vehicles is horrible.
Yes, they are one of the worst, but they also have the third best selling vehicle in the US (Ram Truck).
@@thedukeofmanville RAM makes a great truck. Might have been #2 a few years ago?
The demand for Cybertruck is almost infinite, but not at inflated prices. When the price of the Cybertruck begins to lower due to production ramping and cost efficiencies due to scale. I am withholding judgement on Cybertruck until I drive it, I hope Rivian survive long enough to ship and sell trucks in Europe. I’d like to drive a Rivian too.
😅almost infinite demand?😂. YT influencers wanted it for views. Others made reservations to flip them for a quick profit. Soon they won't be able to give the CT away.
Early adopters adopted their toy. The rest of us can't afford or don't want them.
I mean let’s compare Tesla sales to Rivian. Does Rivian have $ to even build there new line of cars 🚙
It doesn't matter. Rivian or any other single auto maker is a threat to Teslas market share.
However, it is the combination of all the auto makers producing EVs that will, and have, eat away at Teslas market share. This erosion will accelerate with Hyundai Group doing the most damage. Rivian, on the other hand, is a market nicher that does not pose a threat to any particular market segment. This may change with R2, so we will know in a few years if Rivian survives.
They took away the inventory discount
Found this: czcams.com/video/WzttFMFEu9k/video.html about parking of Tesla's at Chesterfield Mall.
Thanks for linking this video!
I had more then 3 Tesla’s in the last 6 years and they are overpriced. I still don’t understand why they put a screen behind the steering wheel of the Model X & S but they can’t put one for the Model Y & 3. I like Revian’s way of features. Don’t get me wrong I still like Tesla’s but for me it’s a negative that I’m spending money and they can’t put a screen. Sucks. Not for me anymore.
See, I just got a R1S, and still have a Tesla MY. I’ve really gotten used to not having a screen behind the steering wheel. Now I understand why it’s NOT a great idea to have critical information on screen behind the steering wheel if 1. The steering wheel blocks the view or 2. There is no HUD. Or 3. The UI of the screen behind the steering wheel cannot be customer I see so that I can actually see the speedometer without having to looking around the steering wheel.
The issue is 98% of vehicles have a screen behind the steering wheel, and most people don't like change. This is a problem for Tesla that they must address: czcams.com/video/KlaIn7NGKKE/video.html

I would normally agree, however Tesla sales are down
13% year over year while everyone else's EV sales are up. They also lost 10% market share in the USA last year (51.3% down from 61.7% ) and it will only get worse from here I'm unfortunately.
@@thedukeofmanville Musk has said Tesla sales will be up from last year sales of 1,800,000. You can believe him or not, that's up to you. I just don't think a full parking lot or 2 proves much. I've seen parking lots full of Teslas a couple of times last year and this year. ..

@@777Outrigger I just checked within 50 miles of my area and there were too many to bother counting. The used inventory was too large to bother counting as well. You may be correct, but taking together with everything else that's going on with the company this is likely a thing.
@@thedukeofmanville Me, counting my area, or anybody else counting their sales center is anecdotal. If there were hundreds of Teslas overflowing at most sales centers, the stories by Tesla haters and the fake news looking for views would be ubiquitous. I've seen only one or two isolated examples. . .... And you do know Tesla sales were down in the US largely because Fremont was having trouble ramping up the new Model 3, which caused Model 3 sales to crash. Who wants an old one? Everyone just waiting for the new one. The new Model 3 reviews have been universally extremely positive, comparing the Model 3 to the best sedans in this category. ... Hence, no Model 3 inventory in my area.
The Cybertruck is not appealing to many. But it has some state-of-the-EV-art technology that will win over some purchasers. BTW, the Cybertruck outsold the Rivian R1T from November 2023 to April of 2024.... roughly 3500 vs 3800, and I'll bet you a Benny it doubles the sales of the R1T in Q2. Another thing, comparing a model 3 ($39K) to the cheapest BMW EV (I4) $54K before dealer mark-up.... makes no sense. The vehicles are in a different market segment and price bracket. As for Tesla's decline, consider this headline yesterday from Clean Technica and WSJ regarding Q1 sales ..."Tesla Still Sells More EVs In USA Than Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, & Toyota Combined". Seems like a lot of people care about performance, software and charging over styling.
Rivian has its own set of demand issues which I addressed in a previous video, but they are not the same as Teslas. The Rivian R1T and the Cybertruck are not mass market vehicles. Also where did you get a production breakdown for Rivian since they don't release that information?
In addition, you are making the same mistake that many in the EV bubble make; comparing EVs against EVs when they should be compared to their ICE counterparts.
The top 3 selling vehicles in 2023 in the U.S. are ICE trucks from Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, and none of these companies care about selling EVs because they make all of their profits off of big ICE trucks and SUVs. In other words, Tesla is still the only real EV car maker (Rivian makes trucks, vans, and SUVs) and poses no threat to the Big Three who BTW don't make any cars.
I made a video a year ago explaining all of this. If you want a well research perspective watch this video: czcams.com/video/JpBw_5Mqj-s/video.html
This is just part one.
As some other comments, I assume the CT’s are for customer deliveries along with the S and X ones in general. Didn’t see many 3’s as you drove/walked by. I was trying to notice if any of those 3’s were the new ones. But, for the Y’s, yea, I think over producing vs demand given they have excess capacities for production on the Y.
The vehicles have pros/cons like any other. Glad we have choices and each person can decide for themselves :-)
Thanks for sharing!
If you try ordering a cyber truck, it shows you're not going to get it until next year
If they are smart they will cut production of the Cybertruck until the interest rates go down, and they run put of people willing to spend $100K.

I don't follow your channel, and it looks like you like saving money and believe in EVs because you drive a Rivian. But what do you get out of these when you try, and at least it seem like you are trying to put down a company that literally changed the entire auto industry the last 8 years to push for more EVs? I own 2 Tesla. I bought the TSLA stock the first time I've ever driven an EV because I was really impressed of the handling and comfort. I owned a lot cars, BMW M3, Porche 911, Toyota 4 Runners, BMW X3, but they all became nothing but maintenance hustles that cost me more money in the long run and gas prices is ridiculous. So traded the Toyota and Porsche for a Tesla. I got all the tax rebates and used the money I saved, not paying for gas to invest more into my stock portfolio. I figure investing in stocks is better in the long run than owning low depreciation cars like Porsche and Toyota 4Runner. So why the hate? You just hate Elon and think he is a narcissist ahole? Yeah, I respect that. I also don't like the things he say. You think the Tesla stock is way over valued for a car company. I get that. But i also don't like Apple, i have a Google phone, but Apple makes great products. So, I'm also heavily invested in Apple stock as well, and it's been great so far. Yeah this look bad for Tesla, but the fact that every news, sites, blogs, and YT, talks about Tesla, especially if it's a negative narrative, is mind-boggling. I am not a Tesla stock pumper, I just like the products and if you like something nothing wrong in investing in it. Just want to get the opinion of a level headed guy who likes EVs, except Tesla.
