      Hi DrewsNightmare,
      Thermal treatments on their own can't safely reduce or remove the prolapsed orbital fat that causes eye bags, especially since the fat is behind very thin lower eyelid skin; nor can thermal treatments create volume if a volume deficiency is hollowing. Thermal treatments can tighten, and resurface the skin, though. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      Sorry to hear that, mimibunny. I make these videos so people are more informed about cosmetic procedures, so they make better decisions about procedures for themselves. Unfortunately, your doctor or practitioner misinformed you about what the device can do for your issue.
      Eye bags caused by prolapsed orbital fat so they are always visible are best treated with surgical removal. You can refer to this video on how it's best done in darker ethnic skin that is prone to keloid (raised) scars - czcams.com/video/ZNkvC941ng4/video.html

    Dr I have seen about 4 eye surgeons for my under eye bags and they all say I am not a candidate for surgery yet because my bags are too mild. I am really considering rf microneedling with Genius or Agnes lasers. I will never do filler again because of a bad experience with hyaluronidase which left my eyes extremely dry and feeling of scalded tongue as well as nerve sensations of burning all over my face and body for four months !

      Hi Patricia Lopez,
      Did your surgeons mention transconjunctival blepharoplasty with no external incision on the eyelid skin? I do recommend surgeons who perform this more specialized procedure as it looks more natural, and can avoid common complications associated with lower eyelid surgery. It may be possible to sculpt a little of the prolapsed fat of the lower eyelids, but I would need to confirm this in an examination.
      RF, RF microneedling, or lasers don't treat under eye bags, but they may tighten or resurface lower eyelid skin, as explained in the video. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi DerekHki,
      Eye bags that are visible all the time, regardless of amount of sleep, allergies, salt intake, and sinus issues, are likely caused by the orbital fat normally around the eyeballs for support and cushioning, but have prolapsed or herniated forward, creating these bulges. The only way to reduce the fat is through lower eyelid surgery, but some slight cases can be camouflaged temporarily with a cosmetic filler. You can refer to these videos on how eye bags are treated in my practice:

      Hi Lakshmi AV,
      The devices you are referring to are skin treatments, but the prolapsed orbital fat that causes eye bags that are always visible is below the skin, and below the muscle, so these devices would have to go through these two layers before even reaching the cause of the puffiness.
