- The plaintiff, a singer, hired the defendants to produce a music video. When the plaintiff received the final cut, she claims it was full of technical glitches, so she is suing for a refund. The defendants say the plaintiff is impossible to please and doesn’t know what she wants, and they worked like dogs. Besides, the defendants haven’t had any issues with other clients in the past.

Doug's question to the Defendants was a good one. JM should have asked it. I bet she would've given her what she originally sued for. The Defendant's response that she was interfering with their creative freedom was entitled, unprofessional & clarified they weren't trying to satisfy the Plaintiff. You don't get creative freedom on other people's content. That was the Plaintiff's project. They needed to produce what she wanted. Period.

What a low ball judgement JM. They started in May. She's been asking since Oct. And it's at the *earliest* Feb-March as of this recording. At minimum give her HALF! Divide the 1200 or wtvr *she paid* You're always saying "split the baby" so split it! Half would've been *less* than what she requested, since you deem her request "unfair". You're unfair! I mean, most ppl ask for all their money back

Doug made a great point by saying they should bring the client in the editing room , it’s about what they want and not the editor’s creativity .
If you brought the client in the editing room you would need to triple the time & the profit loss!

Her singing was bad. If she is successful in the music industry it will be due to her body. Couldn't really tell if she was a solid dancer or not. I get going after your dreams and I'm not sure how much success she has had but if she is successful has nothing to do with her vocal talent. Hope she has a backup plan.

only watching the intro so far and at this point only be plaintiffs case, but I will say that if the plaintiff account is accurate, the best solution here would be for the defendant to give the plaintiff the raw video footage and compensate her whatever it would take to have it edited again by someone more competent.

I think this case is fake. I think this was all for publicity, and I think they both were in on it. The reason I believe this is because how they smiled at each other when they came out. Also, if you look at the facial expression of the defendant after the case he is still smirking and has a look as if he knows something we don’t. Also both plaintiff and defendant straight promoted and named the artist, and played a video on national TV.
They’re probably smiling bc none of that money is going to leave their pockets. since it’s only 300. They’re gonna still get paid from the rebate of the show.
