- This is the fourteenth episode of Parallel 9 series 1 - the last before the show took two weeks off to make way for coverage of the 1992 Olympic Games.
This series was presented in deep letterbox for the studio segments and 4:3 for everything else, so I've zoomed the planet bits and left everything else as it, which seems the least worst way of presenting it on CZcams. All cartoons and music videos have been removed.

I wish that all episodes from the 1st series uses the closing titles that includes the camera flying around the Parallel 9 in different ways.
Dunno why this and the last episode of the series only got the chance of doing it as the rest uses one of the raw footages from the intro.
It’s because those two episodes didn’t end with Mercator leaving in his capsule, so they had to find something else to show, though I agree this is better!
to make way for coverage of the 1992 Olympic Games.
I admit my personal preference is to leave 4:3 with a faux letterbox effect as it is, even if it does leave a picture floating in the middle of the screen, as it is an intentional effect.
We have the opposite these days, with a lot of faux-pillarbox instead.
So that's why I had a memory of a Saturday morning magazine show where the cast was trapped in a television set at the end of one episode and basically remembered nothing else about it. I'd kind of assumed I was mistaken about that memory on account of how ludicrous that as a concept was - that a magazine show would have sufficiently fantastical premise to _do_ that. Although when reading Murmoss's blog that caused me to read your blog on it I did start wondering 'wait, is that the show that trapped the cast inside a television set at the end of an episode' so I was... Hopeful... Going into reading your blog. And there it is - 1:09:29. That's the image that's been in my memory for 30 years.
(And watching the ending it brought back additional memories - I never got around to sending the idea in, but I distinctly recall thinking that since a gameshow got them trapped, a gameshow should get them out of it)
Cheers for this.
Ah great - yes, it was this cliffhanger that really locked me into this show!
