Are Some Airport Bars Over-Serving Plane Passengers?

  • Disturbing videos show passengers creating chaos on planes. However, authorities say some passengers were intoxicated before they boarded. Tampa Airport Police Chief Charlie Vasquez says some of these booze-fueled airport incidents can get really nasty. Many wonder if some airport bars are overserving passengers. At Newark Airport in New Jersey, two Inside Edition producers started ordering cocktails to see how much they could order.

It would be fair to establish Rules and mechanisms such that Airport Bars do not allow or contribute to this problem. Remember, the entire plane gets punished in the form of delayed flights if one passenger decides to be unruly to the point of needing to be disembarked so they do have a role to play.

I mean most airports around the world have a limit on the amount of liquids you can take through airport security in your carry-on luggage and some airlines don't even serve alcohol on board so why is it there aren't any limit at the restaurant inside the airport?
It's not the waiter's responsibility to tell the client how much to drink or when to stop. However it's the airline that needs to put a limit on alcoholic drinks and make clients respect the Guidelines or else they don't get on board

To this day, I still don't get how it's socially accepted that people literally fill themselves up before a flight at like 9 am. Like...why? Especially before a flight where some things can potentially go wrong and you need to be focussed to not forget stuff or anything.

Maybe no longer allow bars at airports. As you can see that producer was allowed to be over-served.

They should just ban the sale of alcohol at airports IMHO.

99% of adults who drink alcohol don't go nuts. Don't take the freedom away from everyone becuase some idiots. Its like saying "ban alcohol from anyone who owns a car since a few people drink and drive."
