My Mom was a teenager at the time living in the bay area (where my family and I still live) and she said she was absolutely terrified. It was like this guy was the Bogeyman in the shadows and nobody knew when and where the guy might strike next. Given the range of his killings nowhere in the bay area felt safe. I always hold out hope that the Zodiac left the infamous outfit he was described for wearing somewhere in some attic in the bay area to be discovered, finally solving the case. He seemed just crazy enough to do something like that.

"Lady Valdivia" the next candidate for Mayor of Mirrorage, running against Lady Hexe Metzger. Now, Hexe has a doctorate in Chemical Engineering and many other fields, but she's far from charming. She doesn't play fairly, amd has hands in dirty, illicit underground government activities. It goes without saying, or should be obvious that she's quite wicked and evil. However, Lady Valdivia is a people person, plays fairly, loves equality and the working class citizens of Mirrorage. She's also been into social work since her early school days at Lunar Academy High, where the protagonist Katya, currently attends.
Mrs. Valdivia (yes, she'll be married to a gloriously handsome man) won't be able to stand a chance against Mrs. Metzger and her crooked ways...that is...until Katya and her bestie, Auri, get help from their school connections to get dirt on Hexe and ruin her plans of taking more power in Mirrorage.
Only then, will Lady Valdivia get her chance to help Mirrorage get back to its roots as a thriving city of proper, green industrial business and strong economy.
Anyway... at least there's writing and drawing in these dark times. I'm bored. Um. Take care guys! Anyone! Everyone!

The most likely explanation why the Zodiac was never caught is that he was killed in a very mundane way (car accident, for example) or he was jailed for something else, and died in prison. I think that his ego, his craving for attention as you mentioned, would have gotten the best of him had he been jailed for the rest of his life, he would have confessed. That is why I more likely think he was in a car accident, or slipped and fell off the roof, or some other boring ass way. Not of old age, that is certain.

I live in the vast Great Central Valley of California. We live on top of a huge underground aquifer, and we have a VERY high water table here. Most people who have in-ground pools here have to have them built into man-made hills to keep the water table from pushing them out of the ground. Seriously. And that is why so few California homes have basements. Nobody likes a basement full of water!

    Here’s my analysis:
He had a disdain for women. This is because he always made sure the women were dead but not the men as they typically seemed to survive.
He came from the country and did not care for the city. Calling Toschi a “city pig”.
Had prior military experience, or a hunter (would fit the country description), or even a cop. He had an idea of how to use a gun.
He was sloppy? but certainly gained confidence and wore a mask later as if he knew or somehow found out that he was leaving his male victims alive.
The fact that he was into cryptography and writing (from his letters), suggests he possibly served and had wartime experience in some capacity.
Additionally the Luger was used in world war 1 and 2 and easily accessible. This suggests he was maybe in his late 30s at the time of the killings.
He wanted fame and notoriety. Something he did not get when he served perhaps. He was obsessed with control and power.

      @helo9316 Před 2 lety +12

I don't think he had anything for women, he never specified in his letter about his hatred for women, which he would have had since how the letters were clearly his favorite way of communicating with the public. I think what would have happened was he either intentionally left men alive to tell tales or was in hurry hence had to leave the men alive, since they have usually more endurance than women. Other than that i agree with him being in military, he knew how to make a bomb and even said so in a letter in today's world you could search it up on google but i imagine in those days not everyone was knowledgeable enough to know how to make a bomb

Something I speculate about occasionally is whether some of the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders were carried out by the Zodiac killer. For those unfamiliar, a string of girls were killed while hitchhiking in and around Santa Rosa in 1972 and 1973. The time and vicinity are correct. One of the Zodiac letters claimed that he would no longer announce his victims and instead make them look like routine homicides, meaning a likely shift in MO, and the attempted abduction of Kathleen Johns by a man matching the physical description of the Zodiac killer may indicate he started preying on people along the highways. It might also (at least partially) explain the inflated body count in later letters.
One of the victims, Kim Wendy Allen, was last seen alive carrying a large wooden soy barrel with Chinese characters on them, which apparently resembles the weird glyphs seen on the letter at 15:50.
That detail, the girl carrying around a wooden barrel, always sticks in my mind. I mean, such a typical girl thing to do, right? Carry around a barrel.

Hence calling a movie that was clearly not comedic in nature, a comedy.
Serves two purposes: let's him convince himself it didn't rattle him.
      And
Makes anyone reading the statement think "only a psycho would watch THAT movie and call it a comedy" increasing fear of him, which he clearly got all sweaty for.
      I mean the exorcist?

Just going by his admissions, I wouldn't be surprised if the results of the "killings" really didn't matter much to him. What mattered was the act of killing itself. He probably didn't give a toss if a victim didn't bleed to death and could be saved, because by that point, he'd already lived out his power fantasy of taking a life, feeling like a killer, pulling the trigger or digging that knife in.
A clean kill wasn't in his interest. He didn't bother disposing of the bodies, and instead phoned them in himself. If anything, a near-death survivor would stoke his legend in the media much better than a cold body would have. Leaving the surviving victims with an ever-present fear of him, of a potential second strike, probably gave him a rise, too.

It was the centrepiece to the chart indicating the horizon with the horizontal lines and reaching to the MC (meridian Celestine/mid heavens) on the vertical. Here's the thing about the murder of the Taxi Driver. Even though the San Francisco Police had a description of the Zodiac (white male, 35 to 45, with a buzz cut, and glasses) two parol officers on foot patrol stopped the Zodiac as he was leaving the scene BUT LET HIM GO because they saw a Black Man on the sidewalk and they arrested him for the killing of the Taxi Driver. In one of the letters to the News Paper from the Zodiac, he called the San Francisco Police incompetent fools for arresting a man just because he was Black.

The emphasis on trees and wood lies throughout these Z cases. Pines Card etc. Ted K also emphasized this aspect and may have been a Z associate. My POI went to Berkeley as did TK. Which is also where TKs IEDs sometimes were set. Many made out of wood. Even one victim was chosen for their surname- Wood.

He's been only attacking couples. It could mean, that he had a crush but go rejected. It hurted him so bad that, he developed hatred for couples. The first single kill could've been related, to his beloved woman who chose first "single" victim over zodiac. His mistakes in the letter meant that he probably didn't finish highschool. And him targeting kids, feels alot like he was in his early 20ties. Why? Because after procesing the traumatic highschool which he didn't finish. He decided to prove to everyone that he was worthy. So far I got his education/age/reason. Was there anything about relation between single kilings?
He felt godlike, so he was never behind bars or punished.
The couple kilings were because of his ideology, but single ones were personal. He stopped kiling because kiling his crush satisfied his lust for revenge. The letters were to prove something. Perhaps that he was good at it? Despite not having diploma? I'm thinking, that starting investigation with highschools, would've been better. Especially to ask women, that have rejected weirdos, if they remember.
