When using the ca glue and accelerater, glue the parts 1st, press them in place, then spray the accelerater. It will penetrate and go where it needs to. It usually don't have a reaction with most surfaces, but still a good idea to wipe off the excess. Great looking truck!

Mirrors: Inside of an aluminum can.....or just cut a piece of plastic and use a nice chrome pen of your choice. There has to be something that exists like a cardboard mirror.......on Little Debbie snacks or something?

Hey brother thanks for the more than kind words. Just sent a couple of close ups of those vent windows in paw paw's GMC. Good old Tacky Glue to the rescue, dries fairly clear and is a bit flexible. Hope that is of some help. Looking forward to seeing you at Texas Crawlfest, if time allows Mason, Mike and I would love to trail with you a bit. Safe trip and see you there.

Try to use the plastic shell from e.g. servo cable or other cable for RCcar in the right thickness?
Measure out the length you need, make an incision along the length and pull out the threads.
Then press the cable cover around the edge of the glass and glue it in place.
Optionally, put some glue drops inside the cable sheath so that it sticks around the edge of the glass.
You'll have to try out which thickness fits best!
When the cable sheath is attached, glue it all in place.
    GOOD LUCK 🤗

In the future you definitely can fix clear plastic. It takes a little bit of effort but it's just a matter of using whatever grit of sandpaper will remove the initial problem then progressively finer sandpapers and then polishes to get it back to clear. With a small area like that it would probably only take 5 minutes to get it looking new again.

I use a craft glue called Mod Podge to glue in windows in model cars. It works great for head light lenses as well.

You could have used lean in the mirrors glued in and put the metal tape on that, or chrome lexan
paint on the backside of lexan and glue that in the mirror.

Hey was thinking for the mirrors most likely to late for you to do this maybe put the mirror tape on a peice of plastic that you can cut to fit the mirror and glue them in so they have a more flat appearance also LOVE the content and love the shop truck 60s to 80s chevy trucks are usually my goto build nothing close to yours but getting there
