I think the Pixel 7 is the better phone in so many ways and the more affordable price is the biggest one for me. Also I don’t shoot many up close photos to miss the telephoto lens

I agree with your thoughts on the cost difference. If you are into the higher specs, bigger phone and extra camera with macro photography for pictures, then I understand the purchase. That didnt fit my usage. Pixel 7 standard was for me.

Great review and really nice visuals for the side by side comparisons. I've been doing a lot of research on these 2 models and your video was the best side by side I've seen so far. I'm still undecided on which to go with as I'm coming from a Fold 3. I've had fun with the Folds for 3 generations now, but it's time to try something different.
My carrier is offering a great deal on both with only a $200 price difference. Given that it's a $200 price difference and I'm used to a Fold, would you still recommend the Pixel 7 over the Pixel 7 Pro? Decisions, decisions...

Nice video. I agree, the extra $300 for the Pro isn't worth it. I ended up getting the Pixel 7 on their black Friday discount. Great value.

Bought the pixel 7, upgraded from the pixel 3. Spent a lot of time considering and reviewing the I phone 14 pro and pixel 7 pro. I really wanted a pro model but couldn't make the change to apple products. The pixel 7 pro is too big for my liking so I ended up with the pixel 7 and after a week of use I am fine with the decision.

Man the pixel 7 is a crazy value for what the phone offers. Basically the best point and shoot photos, google smart software and stock android. Also, I think we can agree pixels are the smartest smart phones on the market.
The Pixel 7 is like the point of diminishing returns. The only way you could convince me to cough up that extra dough is if the Pro had 65 Watt charging capabilities comparable to the Oneplus line of phones.
Great video, got the lemongrass pixel 7 just bcuz I liked the color. Got tired of just getting the regular black phones, and I love the size of the 7

I had the base 7. Pixel 7 display is too dark. unless you rock it at 100% all the time which is still not that bright. Also the colors are so dull and washed out. the 7 pro might be better?
Agreed! I think people are fooled into thinking the display goes up to 1000+ nits in manual mode, but it doesn't. In Auto mode yeah. In standard manual brightness mode the pixel 7 screen is painfully dim, think it reaches around 490 nits pixel 7 pro around 600 nits. That influenced my decision not to buy one . The pixel 6a manages 505 nits . I purchased another brand because of this, that reaches a wonderful 800 nits in manual brightness adjustment mode , 1000+ in auto mode

@@BeautyofScent I'm still rocking a pixel 6. But got the other phone for another purpose. I took a look at an iphone 13 and decided to get this ( I have an iPad already so familiar with the Apple ecosystem) I love the display on the iphone, albeit it has the notch ( which I don't mind) it's actually quite a good phone and often underated! My eyes struggle with dim ( ish) OLED displays. I'm also impressed with it's camera and video capabilities ☺️ the iphone also seems to be a more polished device ( compared to my pixel 6) although pixels are very clever and intuitive to use

pixel 7 is 6.3 inches not 6.4, so even smaller. I prefer 6.7
