I have the p7 pro. Ive owned almost every pixel and this phone is everything I iove about Google phones. It's exactly what I wanted. First, it doesn't overheat. It doesn't even get warm. They refined the CPU, and it's noticeable. The GPU can handle anything, and this phone haa very good sustained performance. Coming from a p6 pro, I desperately wanted this.
Then there is the TPU. No benchmark out there can really test and score AI processors consistently, so i don't really care for them. But it's clear that this is the secret sauce. This phone can do absolutely anything, and do it well.

I think Google has made some impressive strides with the Pixel 7/7 Pro this year, and it's about bloody time, to be honest! Previous Pixel phones have been nothing short of disappointing. I always like to err on the side of caution when it comes to purchasing decisions, because I would hate to spend my hard-earned money on a phone only to be disappointed later on down the line; I had a Pixel 2 XL, I speak from experience. It seems like 2022 has been a "come-back" year for Google, and a good majority of reviews--including this one from XDA--have been in favour of the Pixel 7/7 Pro line-up. If history repeats itself in 2023 for the Pixel 8/8 Pro (and I hope it does), I might even consider moving away from the Apple eco-system and invest in a Pixel phone again.

I was thinking of moving to the Pixel family from the Pixel 8 series cos I believe that's the device that would go head to head with top devices like Samsung, iPhone, Huawei and the likes in almost every department.
But then the Pixel 7 series happened and I can't just wait.
It's crazy to think how much better the 8 Series would be if they actually continue in this trajectory.
They'd just need to refine their hardware since they've got the software part nailed on.
Better batter life and faster charging speeds, snappier fingerprint sensors and maybe a better overall front facing camera with 3D face scanning capabilities would be ideal

It's not bad. It's different. Polar opposite of Chinese flagships. It doesn't detects your face properly and then hdr works and the pixel magic details show up and so you can see all the creators on your face and you will see hdr on your face like..hard to explain. If your face is a flower or a scenery, it's the best. But if it's not, it's like it doesn't treat your face like a face. However the skin tone is the closest to natural among all smartphones. Use some 3rd party camera apps if you take a lot of selfies (thankfully there a hell lot more for selfies).
It's not bad. It's different. If you like selfies of Chinese flagships, you won't like it much. I like pixel's selfie. I like the details it gives and the skin tones it has. The very basic purpose of a phone is to make calls. Here itself this phone fails. In the first 3 seconds the call drops. It happens for both outgoing and incoming calls, for almost 80% of the calls. We must see that this issue is global for most customers. Its display does not give natural colour. It is also a issue for all the customers globally. I reported both the issues like any other customers. Google says these are of software issue and will be resolved soon with a software update. Now comes to the camera. When a layman perspective i must say it grabs bright pics in law light when compared to Google Pixel 2 XL. However, the quality and sharpness , both are compromised. Videos , i am not a technical expert, but i can say that its all blurred . This my honest feedback. I spend Rs 73000 to own this phone google pixel 7 pro in India. To be very honest, if google is not going to resolve these three issues, I must say i wasted Rs 73000. It's the best Pixel yet - no doubt about that!
But the stupid bugs in the current firmware (such as battery drain with screen on max brightness and the appalling ability to launch apps when the phone is locked), not to mention the UI design flaws - blank notifications box on a light theme looks awful; and there's a huge don't size inconsistency between the settings so and anything else - make the software feel rushed and unfinished!
Coming from an Oppo X5, which has a far superior UI in both design consistency and customisation, let alone hugely useful security features like locked apps (which also locks the notifications), and gave unlock in spa as well as just locks screen, maker picking the Pixel 7 Pro as a daily phone really, really hard.
What I really want to see is an unbiased comparison with the Xiaomi 12 Ultra - the phone which is the clear class leader in sensor technology and size.

I really enjoyed using a pixel phone. The everyday features are unmatched. Google is definitely software king. But the reason why I stay with iPhone, besides the eco system, are the apps. They just work better and more reliable on iOS than android. I’ve tested this for many years having both phones and still holds true today. I remember when I tried to use the CZcams app on my pixel, the app would crash and it’s a Google native app. Go figure. I had to pull out my iPhone to open CZcams without fail. There’s just too many android devices to code for causing apps to have issues. While iPhone is easier to code apps for because it’s just iOS and not One UI, One plus UI, etc…If this were to change, more people may come over to android. But you also have to factor in build quality. Holding an iPhone in your hand is a very nice experience. Not that the pixel is bad, but the premium feel of an iPhone is unmatched and so is the price. I guess you get what you pay. Look how easily the pixel 7 camera bump scratches and how easily it bends. You get what you pay for. I actually believe the P7P should cost $600 based on materials and build quality. I guess those “renewable”, “recycled” materials aren’t working out so well huh Google?
