Man I didn't have gear like that when I caught. I remember my shin guards use to fall off because they were garbage. I took a foul ball to the shin n thought my leg was broke. Ump thought it was a wild pitch n it cost us the game. I couldn't get up to get the ball. That was 27 yes ago. Damn I'm old
For that flat foot try a different stance not all catchers have the same one try one knee down blocking is just commitment and dropping to your knees trust your gear
